Luckily I have 2 sisters who do the majority of it, they also still have full time jobs, and I help by doing weekends and using my up my annual holidays to cover for them on weekdays when needed. I've told this story before, but anyway; A young lad at the Allotments came to see me and said he had been called in to the dole for an interview and to bring his c.v. with him, so it could be put on file. He didn't know what a c.v. was, so I explained it to him. I said to tell them he didn't know what a c.v. was but he'd looked into it and I was going to help him construct one and we would email it to them. They weren't interested and sanctioned him and stopped his money for a month. Shithouses, jobsworth, box ticking shithouses....... Cheers.

I wouldn't change anything. Really happy with where I am and what I've built. Wake up at 8am to coffee in bed, walk the lad to school, over the field with the dogs. Leave for work at 9.30....try and get knocked off for 3.30-4. Every day something different. Loved keepering and hunt service and if I had 2 lives then one of them would be back doing that....but I don't.....so I can now hunt shoot and fish once a week anywhere in Britain. I honestly think Charts is speaking from a better age in time when education and how well you adapted to it set you up for life . Me I have always struggled with education hence the reason I have never amounted to much to be honest I don't blame the system or anyone else it's just the way it is for some folk.

It may be difficult living were you live trying to keep them alive what with the snakes and stuff. Difficult were I live when all they ever want to do is find badgers. They put you in goal for that. No longer have an option to be exported to the colonies.

I would say your right to a degree charts. But can’t help thinking all these uni popping up are a money making extraganza. A lot of them come out in debt and get a shit job. No education don’t mean your going to be poor, some of the poorest kid’s have earned good money, they are eager to improve thier lifestyle. Taking risks due to be uneducated often makes people rich, luck as well.I can’t use the computers, phones, online banking , even begin to understand my accountant but I’ve worked relentlessly to get we’re I am . Been a fuking slog but I’m getting fed up of it now, need to slow up.

I agree with what you are saying though I believe anyone who is prepared to do a day's graft wether they are thick as two short planks or a mensa candidate deserve respect to be known as a grafter years ago was a badge of honour now days I very rarely here it mentioned about some one.

I got 440 ah of battery not got my solar set up yet but I can run the fridge,freezer,tv,water pumps, lights and a couple of apple chargers for about 12 hrs before I need to run the engine for an hour to top them up ?
