I was set up at 4.30 am yesterday morning on a smallish patch of laid barley. First few hours a bit slow with mainly jackdaws in the bag , plenty of woodies but nothing would decoy they were just flying about all over. Once I had a few birds I replaced all the decoys with these and the woodies started decoying better but loads still ignoring them. After a 12 hour shift I packed up absolutely knackered. Bag was 174 birds ......88 woodies 86 corvids. Couldnt pick them all Dave as loads dropped in the barley ? Anyway a great day and still loads of pigeons about.4 points

About 5/6 yrs ago I came home after a 4day festival, and standing on my garden fence was a big ol' hairy cat. My then Mrs opened the back door to shew if away, I stopped her, still full of "festival vibes" and started chatting with said beast. It hopped off the fence, ran into my kitchen shouting its head off, then crashed out on the floor. Woke up an hour or so later and f.ucked off...next morning there it was at the back door again, shouting away for food, and I succumbed to its charms and gave it some ham out the fridge.... still got the bugger, even moved house with it!!!! There is a young chap , called Adam who helps me out , he’s keen as mustard and always up for some foxing. He is more of a dog lad really although he knows his way around a shotgun and 22lr , centerfires are new to him . He has accompanied me on my nocturnal fox missions and his job is spotting with my thermal and gates , I drive he spots , then i shoot. I feel a bit mean sometimes doing all the shooting, but I’m not playing. I want them dead and misses are not tolerated. If I miss that’s one thing if someone else misses I get a bit salty to say the least , I might not say anything but the ten3 points

Decent folk about D. They will sell better on here I think. I’ll take the ones that don’t to the auction. I was given some other stuff too to put in. Sold stuff already so that will be cash in the pot. ?3 points

It's hard going mate, that's the ride I've been cutting through, hopefully start planting some broadleaf species over the winter, and see what natural regeneration occurs, like this young oak3 points

I'm still ok with lamp , not many foxes on my grounds. I wrestled with my conscience for years about nv and came to the conclusion that for the few extra foxes I would get it's not economic. Anyway my passion is calling them in and seeing the ruby eyes , that's what I love so suits me? Dont get me wrong horses for courses , like keepers who have a job to do but my foxing is recreational.3 points

I’ve got 6 cats at the minute . loki is our first cat , she’s like aminature panther in build and nature . Very Princess Aurora tiana , she’s howling , feral and is very distant twilight sparkle , constantly pregnant we’ve got three kittens as well. I could watch my cats all day f***ing around and playing round in the garden . One thing I have found is that individually they are terrified of the ferrets . It’s like a semi wild predator clash , both not quite domesticated. my little boy loves his ferret ( Elsa) and it follows him around the garden like t3 points

It's good that you can still do that, round here you would have no chance at all unless it's a clueless cub.3 points

I managed to start up an old laptop today and found these pics from 12 year ago. Nothing outstanding about them but were taken over a weekend when I introduced a nephew into the finer things in life. His mam didn't want to encourage his developing interest in dogs and guns and things like that. Not that she is anti but had seen her brother become obsessed with such things. But, he kept badgering away until he was allowed to come along. He turned out to be a natural but his mam had nothing to worry about. He is far cleverer than his uncle and will soon be a qualified vet. ps. the3 points

It does work. Try using petrol instead of cooking oil though Edited to say please don't use petrol ?. I chickened out and pictured some thick cnut burning to death. You can just use water, put a drop of washing up liquid in to break the surface tension2 points

A shit ton of money to repair all the things that break down or need buying lol! To be fair I'm hoping that soon the money hemorrhaging phase will slow down a bit. I bought it as totally overgrown scrubland with no access, fencing or services. I've got a road and water in now, part of it fenced, cleared enough to start a holding and starting to be able to produce things off it on a small scale. Next year im hoping to get a barn up and electric in which will be a game changer. Will be able to upscale what I'm doing now and, hopefully, be able to produce enough to have a bit of a2 points

I hated cats ,but when we moved here there was a matted up young cat about the place , my mrs took pity on it and put some mince out one night for it and that was that lol. We cleaned her up and got her neutered, we back onto a farm so had our share of rodents and she absolutely demolished them ,we love birds and feed all year through ,the cat has never killed a bird the birds that visit us don't even fear her ,she can be laid out in the sun and the birds just feed around her she's just not interested in feather but has been an absolute demon on anything small and furry including the odd ra2 points

I wouldn't call their reasoning a 'bag of shit'. They're desk jockeys, led by wader wearing scientists, all of whom are trying to keep shit by the book. What Is a bag of shit is that you will now probably pout, scowl and fukk off looking for another way to amuse yourself and maybe get a feed, or a few bob. Our beloved brethren of the 'Multicultural' persuasion, of course, won't be filling out applications or asking shit from anyone. They'll be camped out on the waterside. Laughing, catching, campfire cooking and feasting on What ever they can catch. Till it Is all gone. Then the2 points

That’s it mate, things are always open to interpretation. As to the second bit I was just messing, but it is a bit funny as times, there are quite a few folk who bang on about the sacred rules of the dog man, and in reality they are often / sometimes the worst offenders.2 points

A memory I posted in another thread, not a joke but I think it's funny ? I'll never forget years ago I was working in an office here, which was as international as you can get. One day, I'd only been working there about 3 days and I was going up to the office in the lift with a bunch of Germans. Suddenly I spotted the plaque with the lift engineers details on. Well fuuck me, I burst out laughing uncontrollably. One of the Germans (who also happened to be my direct boss) ask vtf is wrong with you. Me, with tears streaming down my face, trying to get it together just pointed at the plaqu2 points
