  10. Another old mans reminiscing; I matched a non-ped, Robbo, ( Bilko x Frozen Kill), against a track Greyhound over 150 yards straight on a Whippet track. Won by about 2 yards. I accepted a return match, 270 yards, two bends on a greyhound track. The greyhound won by about two yards. "Horses for courses" I think it's called ! Cheers.

  11. mC, I read your posts with a wry smile on my face ?. Im convinced you're on a wind up, so shouldn't really reply, but I know a thing or two about non-peds, and your above post brought back lots of memories. Some years back, a lad claimed he had the fastest lurcher in the UK, it was actually 15/16ths grey, 1/16 collie, but never mind. He brought it to my local non-ped club and gave it a run up, it did 8.40 seconds over 150 yards. He asked if this was the track record, I said wait a minute, and put a 24lb bitch in the traps, she did 8.30, just a yard and a half faster . The t

  13. Done all kinds of lamping with lurchers from the 70’s but for the past few years I’ve found it boring , I think I went 3 times last season even tho I’ve got a lot land I can lamp all over Yorkshire. I don’t Know if it’s a age think but it’s watching the dogs work in the day for me

  14. I have to wait for lads half my age to catch me up on the hills ? I just don't enjoy it like I once did mate it can be too easy for the dogs and just be about the numbers . Point slip, point slip and point and slip. I just like to watch the dogs work in the day on a mix of terrain these days but it does take me 2 days to recover from a good nights lamping now ?

  15. It’s wasted at me I kept dogs that wernt meant fir it too small for the game so I’m used to being the underdog every time , that’s the challenge getting a dog 1/3 of size of yours conditioned to run over 3 mins and drop a few but them runs are so rewarding ???????? but not in slop ? English dogs for English lands ? any thing out of sight running bores me to shit and me dogs yaaawwwwn ?????????

  17. For a boy who bangs on so much about salukis and the work you do with them you still don't know anyone who ran for 20 quid in the last year... There's been a few..seems even the proper saluki men don't want to know you... Wonder why? Your constantly on about bull X's.. it's blindingly obvious that you have never seen a proper bred bull X... Not some shit bred from a shit bull with no history... proper bred bull X's the bull side of things would have been well tested over years... And if it's a first X even the greyhound side will have been tested on teeth... The only bull you know i

  18. 90% of Saluki owners are bullshitters, bare faced liar's and thieves and that's a FACT...breeding from known jackers and passing shit round once a few arse muffers have bummed up said dog...was loads on here yrs ago .. putting up pictures of dogs we had stolen from us...when named and shamed I was banned off here... Big name in the game bought a Merlin Eve bred dog from down by us...dog was a useless f***ing jacker, put to shame by my mates 22" Coll/whip/grey? let every man and his cock use it.. then peddled the pups with false Peds...they had alsatian f***ing alsorts in em?you one of the

  21. Can pick any bulldog in my yard from 18 months to 6 years old and everyone of them will run flat out for 20 mins without stopping on a slat ill with a slight break on so they gotta push harder, and that's not dogs that are in condition or ready for a show they would do double that after been walked for miles. Mchull is kennel blind and talks so much shit and ruined nearly every good topic with he's bull shit gone beyond a joke.. The males in my Bullxs are to heavy set for all round lamping but the bitches are alot racier and well able for all round work and run all night

  30. What’s quite funny is I don’t think anyone has gone on about bull x other than gospel? I don’t remember any threads with folk saying how amazing they are? Just Gospel saying how crap they are on every thread. He’s saving all of the youth, by preaching the gospel of truth. Very f*cking odd behaviour, must have been bitten by a bull x as a kid.

  33. Trouble is mate half of the people who slag them and say there only good for 1 thing haven't actually saw a good 1 and they just think they have or they've never saw 1 work at all and just go off of stories somebody told them who owns a couple of racing whippets and a show bred collie grey in the pub I dunno I for 1 got the bug on the bull type when I saw a few working as a youth in late 90s 2000 those dogs were good alrounders believe me

  34. Wow?just wow! I know that bull xs not everyone’s cuppa t but wouldn’t say there useless an incapable there very handy if you don’t like being limited! They can be trained to do all types of hunting an just used. But to say there no good would be just stupid! because there’s dogs out there that can will and do??But also stupid trying to compare a saluki hare dog to a bull cross at that job it’d be like comparing a saluki as a Fox dog the saluki would soon Jack keep putting them on as regular as you wanting them on hare. f**k all the lurcher breed politics if the dog/cross can do the job you wan

  35. Two different dogs for different jobs. A lot of Bullx dogs have very bad flat feet, mostly but not all from Bull genes. Thats down to poor breeding. That is a factor that takes long distance running out of a dog. Most Saluki crosses have excellent feet of the catlike from the Greyhound or the Hare type foot. Thats one thing, but also a Saluki is bred for the long run and nobody would dispute that. A Bull x lurcher (one that has a lot of bull influence) of good breeding has very good stamina if conditioned and fed right, but does give away energy a lot quicker until it comes to grips with its q

  36. Well seeing as tho a full propper breed bull dog would spend 1,2 even 3 hours in a box they have plenty in the tank , same as when you put a sand slug to a grey the sand slug gives the grey the staying power no different than a bull , the fact you think bull greys are just muscle bound dogs says you not seen many good ones seen plenty bull grey do 20 rabbit plus a night so how they no good for edible

I wouldn't know I never read many of his books mate I've saw some good salukis but likes been said dogs for jobs and when the going gets tough or the teeth chomp down them saluki that I've saw all bar a couple will have a go on 1 may be a second but anything other leave it in the jeep for a hare or a bunny or something like that I like to run single but sometimes I do double bot all the time normally if theres a young dog there or theres not been much about no harm in it time to time if alot of people were honest theres more people do it then we know it's all down to them though each to there

  46. Wow you realy can't see past your own nose can you , doubled up ? Slow mussled bound dogs ? Who's dogs you been watching??? The fact that you think plodding behind a hare for a couple minuets is more taxing on a dogs body than in the pit shows your nor worth having a conversation with , You say the pit and running flat out are completely different,?? No there not , do you no what getting a dog ready for the pit entails,,you ever seen a pit on a tread mill or a jenny mill ?? Obviously not as there running flat out for minutes at a time , same as your sand slugs , difference is the
