Poodle on a sofa. The first poodle laid on a sofa in 1724 if you look at the length of leg and deepness of chest it made the poodle the ideal dog for this job. The non shedding coat of the poodle also made many a cleaner happy not to have to constantly clean said sofa.in the future I plan to re create this line of sofa poodles I just haven't sourced the sofa or poodle yet but scs has guaranteed me the best line of sofa in the future. Thanks the kid from a council estate near you17 points

I reckon he could teach most pure whippets a thing or two. First x whippet Russell. Probably not as fast as a straight whippet but hardy, clever and brave. I wish I could have him back at that age again9 points

After a couple of cancelled trips we finally managed to get out boat fishing. The catch included mackerel, bream, bass ,conger and undulate rays. Though l didn't catch any conger or rays myself l did end up as Tope Catching King. All day long the mini-sharks ,mostly between 10 and 20lbs, kept hoovering-up my badly presented baits. What made it fun was that l was using an old cane rod and a reel that is best described as a quirky but well considered bit of British engineering. Made by Grice and Young ,The Orlando looks like a simple drum reel apart from a weird sticky-out th7 points

?I love ratting,...great fun for man and dogs whilst serving a definite pest control need. Seen all sorts at the job, from Terriers to farm collies and they make a grand job of helping to rid us of this noxious pest? Curiously enough,...some of my best ratters have been,....whippets... Facts are,..when these lightening fast hounds take to the vermin job, there isn't much to match that strike...?4 points

The one I had was keen as mustard and good mouth just didn’t have the gears, killed a few hares doubled up in front of good dogs when they had a hare tied up but couldn’t do much on her own, bred some real good pups out of her when I put her to buddy, the pups turned out faster than both parents a result of hybrid vigour I think or just that buddy was a good stud3 points

No, never. Literally never heard him make a sound working. He was, however an utter b*****d for singing in the truck as soon as you went off the road onto a farm track. It used to drive me nuts and it wasn't very subtle, I'd say that was his only real fault. I'm talking about him like he's dead, he's not. He's 13 though and half deaf and blind with hardly any teeth so not the same as he was, mores the pity3 points

Yes mate make the full trap, I found that wiring a bit of Alkathene pipe in middle of spring makes it much more powerful. I also make the mumble stick out of plastic and split the setting cord into 2 bits with a knot on either that way you set it with a knot either side of the mumble stick so it is easier to set as it is delivering pressure on either side of mumble stick, it also goes off easier. Also I drill the hole through then open the inside out a little bigger diameter, the mumble stick goes through the bigger hole easy the backs up on the smaller hole, much easier to set.3 points

21tts so just a little thing he is. Used to run with a few lads who kept crossing bred stuff remember one being a buddy bred dog and one bred down from a dog called tramp i believe it was. Got onto the land and i took the little dog and was the laughing stock of the morning till it was my run. Few people were a bit red faced on the way home as i caught the most. This was on fields mind not fen but aye been a few times couple new faces had a chuckle at me till he ran.3 points

He picked up a big mongrel wandering round the shops once and covered a bitch with it, just because he liked the look of it. Jeff is insane there is no doubt, but he can still count.3 points

What a fecking day is all i can say, Green Lurchers might be along later with a pic or two but he might be to knackered with all the reeling in he had to do . Met up at the quayside and had a good catch up natter while we got the boat and ourselves all ready for launch as it's been a couple of years since we last met up ,we then set off for the half hour journey to the mark in glorious sunshine with very little sea breeze and with a dropping tide all looked "just right" .We trolled a few lures for a few hours then beached the boat and got our legs wet with a bit of casting into some shallow wa3 points
