  2. Only thing that's really changed for me is I haven't been able to travel about as freely as I normally would, unable to get to alot of my permission etc... Other than that life's still good, myself and family are in good health, bills are payed every month, Mrs new business is doing really well and I'm f***ing work off to go into business with one of my brothers... Can only mean more time with the family and more time to do the things I want ?this last yrs got me thinking about alot of things, what's really important and what's not... happy days, every cloud has a silver lining ??

  4. If keepers are setting snares then they should be checking them at first light. In todays day and age leaving foxes and cats to strangle themselves and lay there for hours of daylight is stupidity. The areas around these moors the foxes get so hammered it's stupid. The farndale hunt disbanded due to lack of country, not because of houses or roads but because of shooting men shutting doors in their faces. I've seen packs of hounds draw all day and add blank day after blank day to their tallies. .....sorry if that's off topic but just no sympathy for stupid keepers that do silly thin

  7. Thats a strange thing to say fenman, you wouldn't keep one that went for throat holds. There's nothing I hate seeing more in a lurcher than a dog takin stick it doesn't need to, if they aren't getting the job done sharpesh and are trying to kill em with their first hold they're worse than useless in my eyes.

  11. If the cat was on an estate and a threat to game then I think the estate had the right to kill it by any legal means. Some people hate cats, I don’t, but I hate how cat owners and society in general think it’s alright for cats to roam where they like, shit where they like, and kill what they like. I can be prosecuted for letting a dog shit in a park, but it’s okay for my neighbours cat to enter my property and shit in my kids sand pit! And I’m not allowed to let my dog course a hare, yet studies have estimated that tens of millions of birds and small mammals or killed every year by cats.

  14. Right , I apologise If this sounds abrasive . one ... what do people want for working through the pandemic ? A f***ing blue Peter badge? Be a grown up and stop worrying about what you’ve got and others haven’t . two.... them and us . Always the man sticking it to you . Never your fault . That’s the way it is , some people drive forklifts , some service them , some own the factory . That’s just how it is and no disrespect to people but that’s business , your paid to do a job ? Not happy do something else about it . three... we’ve had the best part

  19. Where not talking about whippet greyhounds or beddy xs where talking about Wheaton and Bullxs against things quarter there weight, anyways if your happy with your dog that's all you need, me personally wouldn't keep a game bred dog that chokes game out, I don't go and use champion pitbulls, 2x winners to look for a 20+lb foxs kneck to choke him out or big rough Wheatons that are pulling every weekend. There bred off game dogs to be game defeats the purpose of the breeding in my eyes, even in the pitbull world they don't match till over 2 years might give them a 5 - 10 minute roll at 18 months

  26. My dad used to paint his sheds and fences every year with a mixture of creosote and used engine oil. A testament to this is his chicken shed belonged to his grandfather and my dad was still using it when he died at 78. As Henry Ford said though, " you can have any colour you like as long as it's black ".

  33. The problems are many and varied max ,I doubt even one of your legendary to do lists would solve the problems ,from red tape ,health and safety ,staff shortages ,classroom sizes ,local and national government interference ,abuse from both children and parents ,working long (unpaid )hours etc etc...If teaching is your vocation and you are hard working and conscientious ,then you are up against it ,and in my own very humble opinion it's a mistake to treat the people who educate our children this way .

  37. Teachers seem to be getting a poor press lately and the perception is this is one long holiday for them ,I can only speak about what I know ,and I know of one teacher who has always been conscientious and hard working ,but since this outbreak has had to work harder and longer than ever before ,early starts and late night's are the norm ,learning and doing things outside of her remit is everyday ,the worry and concern about her students ,the dealing with idiot ,lazy irresponsible parents the mountains of red tape every cough in school entails is all taking its toll on her and it breaks my heart

  40. Done loads in the past really like it would like do more but when your out with loads terriers lurchers etc the smoker and spade seem to be the thing. Like FD says bit more fired when actually at the rats but never made mine any more nippy. Nearly always worked jills in their sets but used few hobs in scrap, under sheds etc. Even these two big strong rabbiting hobs took some stick off the long taills. PUD
