Done loads in the past really like it would like do more but when your out with loads terriers lurchers etc the smoker and spade seem to be the thing. Like FD says bit more fired when actually at the rats but never made mine any more nippy. Nearly always worked jills in their sets but used few hobs in scrap, under sheds etc. Even these two big strong rabbiting hobs took some stick off the long taills. PUD5 points

Popped up the shoot this afternoon to try and find the roe with the broken leg I saw the other day. Never saw it but did spy a roe couched up behind a log. Luckily it was facing away from me as it was only 60 yds away ,which enabled me to get on the quads. Shot a nice doe in the back of the head ?4 points

Mrs and neighbours think I'm a weirdo but I just can't go inside in this nice weather, can't wait till gardens done. Bbq, fire pit, mini bar....sat watching my pigeons tumbling.....reckon I could live in the garden4 points

Shame that ,him ,Ron Yeats and Tommy Lawrenson were the original "spine " of the team Shankley first put together ,the genesis of any success we had afterwards ,a decent fella too . I remember when I was a kid ,my mate saying he had the best ball control to come out of Scotland since Jock Strap , I didn't want to ask who Jock Strap played for and I searched for his name for years ,I was in my thirties before the penny dropped ,that's how fkin thick I am .4 points

Yep, I like to drop in on one or two other forums too, keeps things interesting. Must say though, I do prefer this forum to the others, it can be very informative on here and can also be thoroughly hilarious at times .3 points

Ferreted more rats than I ever did rabbits .If you had a Jill that stuck to it you had a good un .Saw a fair amount of abscesses from rat bites and lost a few working places I maybe should have left alone namely farm drains and under concrete .The advent of the micro collar by deben changed the losses drastically .Entering a good ferret into a decent rat Warren would usually tigger action straight away .Miss that part of my life tbh . Good crack if dogs are steady .3 points

A mixture of patience and exposing them to lots of deer, in situations I can control, and accidents followed by bollockings lol. My collie based bitsa bitch picked it up pretty quick, the bushers and terrier blooded dog were hard work. The bitsa bitch is now so steady to them that she will sit under a high seat and watch them when I take her stalking. I use her as an indicator and tracking dog for that which she's taken to really well. If a wounded one is still mobile, and I tell her to, she's more than happy to catch and pull it for me though. She's 10 now, im really going to miss that dog. N3 points

It must be a bit annoying for you down there mate ....only having seven fingers and some of the locals having up to fourteen ..you must feel like they're rubbing it in2 points

Thought it best to leave it to the other experts to have their shot lol. Also having a bad work day. Only really saw hares in Hungary, lots and lots of them. They are their own greyhound type thing the Magyar agar. They also don’t it with other stuff like bulls, they also hunt foxes. The ground is vast, vast vast vast. I went with locals so don’t know what the score is but was very relaxed. Hares aren’t really my thing, I was more interested in the foxes and martins. There are a few places I’d like to go back to, to hunt. Serbia, Montenegro etc. Slovakia was2 points

It´s not illegal to own running dogs , coursing hares with them is. It´s more of a keep yourself to yourself mentality over here.It is in most cases not a daytime pursuit.2 points

Come on down mate it’s a proper eye opener on the miscreants that lurk on this site. You think I take the piss when I call dytkos steptoe or tomo shreck but honestly you need to see them in the flesh to see what I mean ..........2 points

its easy enough i recon to go and watch....i remember the other year when we were pm each other ...it wasnt a lot to fly hire a motor ect .... i recon the real fun would be a few lads in a van ....hunting on the way down through france and spain....there and back over 10 days or so....but that would cost a few ££££2 points

There's a few groups on YouTube metal detecting battle feilds in Europe, some of the stuff they find is incredible and some quite gruesome. Warning you can go down one hell of a rabbit hole once you start watching lol2 points

thats old bryn 13 year old, 14 in sep a 1x collie x grey , bred in staffs from lad of here,( not Hancock) . when i call them out there kennel from the run outside, Buck always comes out 1st , then wait for him to come out, often think if that be is last, but the old fooker still with me lol, pic of him in his prime think he was 4 year old in this pic. Been good rabbit basher and birds in his day, fast for a 1x , but still think a 1/4 collie x 3/4 grey or 1/4 kelpie x 3/4 grey would have been just as good, and not as hyper temp like what 1xs are,?2 points

You have to remember that this forum is like no other or certainly that I have been on, we have no 'keyboard warriors' well when we do they soon bugger off and really this is just a bunch of pals having a chat on a platform so cannot be compared to others. I don't find AGF to bad to be honest although there are a few who think they are somewhat superior to others and BBS is not one I ever clicked with but I am not knocking it. This is not an easy forum to get involved in as we take the p1ss out of any situation or anybody but until you get to know the people on here, it is a strange experien2 points

I wouldn't like own a litter of pup's in these circumstances, a good decent working man's prices are around £200- £300..... if I had a litter I would be concerned at selling them at the above price and people making on money on me by selling them on for £1000? The prices on preloved are crazy, surly no genuine lad on here would pay that?2 points

Me and my lad were talking about how things have changed last night . I used to do Terriers for a small foot pack and preferred lurchers catching em but did have a few guns come with us. Terriers were in the quad and no one came nosing what we were doing. The banter was brilliant no bitching just enjoying the day. If you shot and missed or worse still your Lurcher jacked on a fox then you had to stick the piss taking for the rest of the day but all banter. If we went away on an invite always popped in the local for a pint covered in dirt stinking of fox . I used to pick my mate up and his well2 points
