Having a bit of a sort out the other day and found this little radio. 22 years ago myself and half a million others converged on London to let our voices be heard to try and stop the ban on fox hunting. It didn’t work and the BBC and mainstream media hardly covered what was and is the largest demonstration in this country’s history. It was a peaceful event with no looting or bad behaviour. But what did the media show ?A handful of hippies shouting at us . Bloody typical. Anyway this little radio was given to loads of us and was supposed to broadcast a special March radio program b9 points

Here’s mine they’ve had a new lid today, well tiles anyway. They never did like like the smooth ones and I had some left over from the house so my mate got his lads to throw them on so all matching with the house roof now. Sleep boxes are breeze blocked at back of kennel with a lift up lid. Insulated floor with thermaboard then a 3ml plastic wipe clean floor but they got Astro turf thermal blankets and a heat lamp if needed ?. Better heating than me at the minute I got no heating downstairs9 points

My feeling is , that a breeding female would have made her presence felt or attacked a person or dog . Plus I thought it was an interesting, anecdotal story, roughly on the same lines as this thread that I thought people reading this might find mildly interesting .7 points

Max you don't half come across as some numpty. I'm 69 pretty active BUT I have blood pressure and take medication so it's alright for me to die? Oh he underlying problems. It's okay for young people ie students at university to have house party's for all those muppets in York to have a street party, to ignore social distancing. To catch the virus and spread it about with their selfish attitude because they won't die. It's up to me Max to protect myself no responsibility of the young people who don't give a f**k. FFS Cheers Arry7 points

Seems to be a lot of its "only killing compromised people" type statements, is it OK for them to die? Pretty much everyone over 60 is compromised to a degree and certainly those over 70. If you're being treated for cancer with an expectation to make a recovery and live another 10 or 20 years but die as your compromised at that point in your life is that OK? Perhaps you have a history of smoking and some chronic lung problems but have a life expectancy of another 15 years but get covid and die why is that different from anyone else?7 points

That looks just like the little farm pit l've been fishing this Summer. 25yards wide,40yards long and about 7 feet deep in places. Local wisdom has it that the pond was drained and the fish removed many years ago but it had been known as The Tench Pond. I started fishing it after spotting a shoal of little rudd. It was hard going , even these tiddlers were very wary. Only after a few visits ,including some biteless blanks, did it slowly unlock its secrets...7 points

Truth is, if the hunt accidentally puts up a fox and kills it, they have broken no law they laid a scent trail ( through every good copse) so it’s an accident and not illegal, the same thing if you are walking your dog and it accidentally has a course catch or not you haven’t broken the law, it’s just hard when you crashed through the gate in a 4x4 launched the dog and had a phone full of similar videos to claim it was an accident ?4 points

All I'm saying is chill out?... Everyone is entitled to voice their opinions... But the same repetative, and little sly, underhanded comments are f***ing cringe worthy pal? I look at it like this.... If I have some experience of a topic, then I will add my input, helpful or not? If I have no interest in a topic, like football and shooting.... Then I just scroll down ... If I think someone is talking shit or taking the piss... Then I like many others will say something....But I wouldn't go out of my way mind, page after page of insults looking for a reaction ?like you have,4 points

Rick has a pic of a dog that went missing it was some yappy doodle thing which had a muzzle on because it ran up to every dog it saw and started barking, well I’m guessing it ran up to a cat because the pic is a skin with a head still in the muzzle and all the meat gone, I think Forrest of dean redneck might have seen that at a show we did in the forest, cat disappearances also seem quite common in areas of activity as well, I think there is a spate of cats going missing in the Forest of Dean at the moment don’t know if it’s a person or the forest has always had sightings so could be activi3 points

Someone keeps voting for these pricks ? As I have said till I’m blue in the face, it’s only ever been Labour or Tory for 70 odd years and the gaff is a total f***ing mess......so why is anyone shocked that they are making a f***ing great mess all the time ? What did anyone expect ? Its like getting the same cowboy builder round year after year to keep rebuilding the same extension he f****d up last time and paying him more money each time ! Lol Its the very essence of insanity !3 points

Something mentioned in the original post regarding the lack of media coverage annoyed me at the time and a realisation that the masses are only allowed to see what those in control want them to see. I was on the march and found it hard to believe when I got home that not many people were aware that it had even happened and the same at work the next day. A short time after the event the 1st gay pride rally took place. It was all over the media and a story line written into Eastenders by the BBC to ensure it got the exposure that they wanted. I may be wrong but I seem to remember the count of th3 points

Do we not all have a shared responsibility to look after the vulnerable? The child with cancer, the war veterans etc? If by using common sense we can do that, and in the case of the vaccine, actually reduce our own risk shouldn't we do so?3 points

I call that window cleaner news, because when ever I come home and my misses comes out with some mental unsubstantiated rubbish I would say who told you that and the reply was always the window cleaner told me, so over the years those mad gossipy Chinese whisper story’s are known as window cleaner news, even though he’s been dead years ?3 points

My daughter used to work for a travel company that specialised in Safaris. She got to go on a few as a perk of the job . She stayed in this one camp that was just tents . With nothing more than the canvas between you and whatever was out there . They were told that under no circumstances were they to leave the tent at night . She said there was a scorpion in her tent and she hates insects and spiders, but outside was a lion roaring and it was so loud the tent seemed to vibrate. She stayed in the tent all night with the scorpion and didn’t sleep a wink . She vowed never to go to Africa again.??2 points

There isn't any real answers at all. My brother worked on the covid ward and caught it. He says lock downs are pointless and we just need to crack on My mates Mrs works at a different hospital and she supports lock downs and says she will never forget otherwise healthy people choking to death one after another in front of her. I did a job for a large undertakers who says they havnt seen a big increase in deaths during the pandemic. Another undertakers in a different town went from 2-3 funerals a week to 25-30 at the height of it. Nobody knows and everyone has an argument2 points

In the words of Max Bygraves , I wanna tell you a story ! This was told to me while I was in the lunch shed , when I was loading on a shoot day with some other keepers a couple of years ago . The one keeper had travelled from Bedfordshire and keepers an estate next to a famous wildlife/ safari park . He told us that he went one evening to feed this duck pond which was in a fenced off compound close to the park. He opened the gate , but then a chill ran down his back and for some reason he quickly shut the gate as he sensed something wasn’t right. Turns out a pregnant lioness had climbed the wi2 points

3% to 10% is ballpark yeah. It could be caused by demographics, ie one country has a aged population or a severe respiratory health issue etc but I reckon it probably more likely testing. Those case numbers just aren't representative of true infection rates. Fortunately in the UK we have the antibody studies, so we know with a reasonable level of certainty that 6% of the population has had CV-19.2 points

Without any stats or real knowledge, my on opinion is this virus is still very new, so over the course of 12 months a more thorough study will be put together..come next March we should have 12 months of figures from infection through to death rates, which as you rightly said in another post will give a clear comparison from the previous 12 months. The infection rate was high in this country through the early part of summer, and it is thought the lock down prevented spread (that is obviously up for debate, but it makes sense to me). Also countries like Mexico and Brazil were badly hit, I2 points
