you know though ...I read them tales of the old gamkeepers books....and a few other ones older......and they all complained about how tuff it was etc.....but then when you looked at what they got.....a house clothing allowance ...dog food...a few ton of coal a year...tips from the guns ....some of them especialy the head keepers often got a man and a poney and trap to take them round the estate on there rounds....one I read about even had a gardener tending to his vedge plot........oh and not to mention all the free game to eat then you got the poor b*****d working down the pit when they10 points

A day to remember , been trying to get this young bitch going all season and she just keeps running up to her quarry staring at it then back out , she finally went baying away bolted this fox , I had the camera and as it looked back got this pic ... one I won’t forget8 points

I hear you mate but what you have to remember is, according to the news media , the “Far Right” is actually just normal right of centre, conservative (not Tory )/libertarian politics mostly.........most normal work a day blokes would be considered “Far Right” by modern standards when in fact they are f**k all of the sort. When the news says “rise of the far right” it’s really code for “watch out, we are coming to make some more laws about what you can and can’t say, read, look at or be a supporter of” It’s normally the precursor to some “more government”7 points

The old dogs been used on 8 bitches this year already, not a single £ has changed hands. I always try and help decent lad's. .........not all of them prove to be decent, I seem to be a slow learner7 points

If they were C section then as daft as it sounds the bitch won't recognise them as her own. Put a muzzle on her, let the pups feed while you hold the bitch steady and she'll take to them within a few days. I just lay my bitch down, put my hand on her head to keep her down and steady and let the pups help themselves6 points

I thought hard about the Frosties myself before I moved, it was toss up between them and getting stabbed living amongst 9 trillion wogs !.......it was a close call ! Lol lol6 points

Hopefully this bitch of my good mates will be in pup to Brian. As we need a couple of youngsters to bring on .5 points

don't forget people did not move about much until very recently rely, so every area had there own type of everything, from canaries to horses, and dogs no different, when I took a bitch about ten miles to be mated, we walked it there and back in the seventy's, the border collie we know today is a modern dog rely.5 points

As I can’t be doing with watching the great British sewing bee with her indoors ( by the way, longshanx’s likes it) me and the long one had a go at the rabbits, there was a few about and we managed 7, longshanx taking one at over 100 yards ( cracking shot) they are very lamp shy, so roll on the light nights when we can just sit up with a cup of tea and pop a few off as they go about their business ?4 points

also to all the advice above , when you rub the pups to make them piss and shit or if you're posh like i is urinate and defecate rub the shit all over her nose same with the piss so she is eating it4 points

Electric cars ruin the whole experience of performance cars in my opinion, part of the thrill is the noise who wants to welly it away from the lights in complete silence thats no fun.4 points

Reckon you're likely right, a lurcher was just a lurcher and if decent likely bred from no matter the looks. The idea of a Norfolk lurcher is just a romanticised idea. Even greyhounds were a mixed bunch ranging from whippet to deerhound sized being referred to as greyhounds.4 points

Just to add to this etc read an article a while back about electric cars and possible implications. Ie don’t pay your road tax , service , mot, or fall behind on your payments , the motor will be “ turned off” as such also with the prevelance , any crimes etc can be heatmapped or electronically traced via your cars location . The example used was a bank robbery where in pursuit a car could be switched off via a master system . Scary stuff when you add in anpr, automatic speed regulation etc put blank , they can see where you are , for how long at what time.4 points

I had exactly the same a few years back, my bitch killed 4 pups in seconds after we put her with her pups......on the advice of the vet ! I got her muzzled and fed the pups by putting them with her while she was muzzled. I cleaned them and made them piss and shit for three days, she soon came around to them. You'll see when she starts to take an interest in them, just have a bit of patience.4 points

I doubt that mate......come and see for yourself how folks go to work for each other over here. They are happy enough taking the money and paying lip service to some of the nonsense rules but it don’t really touch your life, Ireland is very much Irish make no mistake. Maybe it’s because they are a young country, don’t forget it was only 100 years ago they defeated the biggest power in the world to get their own country......standing up for yourselves is still pretty fresh in the collective memory here mate.4 points

I liked the replay by two crows about people not traveling to far be it dog, horse, canary each county had its own type I agree fella ??. It’s got me thinking more because people always say dogs back then were good real tough as old boots type that could fill the larder regular an kept it full but in modern times were hard pushed to keep continuous good dogs for the job it’s always hit an miss in modern times when one dogs carrer as ended getting the next pup to bring on to take the dogs place it’s got me thinking that county bred dogs being so close related had something to do with it almost li3 points

As a aged individual approaching my 70th birthday, I don't give a f**k about the new rule. I have never been into speed or performance cars. I cannot understand the buzz blokes get from having two exhausts or speeding away from lights, aggressive overtaking or owning cars with macho names on the side. Every road rage performer I've ever taken to task outside of the protection of their car has turned out to be a complete pussy. To me you're a bunch of immature retards. How fast do you want to go on public roads? 70 MPH is plenty for anybody. Let's face it this new law will save lives and pl3 points

I had a bitch that had pups cut out of her before, I had to bottle feed them for a week or ten days until she heeled. Your bitch might be still a bit sore. Good luck with it.3 points

It will not necessarily state specifically on your FAC where you can shoot, actually its quite unlikely. However, when your FAC is Open/Unrestricted you can shoot wherever you deem safe and have permission. If you don't have an Open/Unrestricted FAC (often the case at first grant) then you need to make sure the land is cleared for the calibres you use, refer to police!3 points

It’s normal it’s what happens but in the wild she would have moved on now. He has done his job she will come out of season so split them up ......3 points

Most common mistake that I've seen over the years imo is a lot of people want to dig their dog out straight away, as soon as they hear them yap in a spot they have the shovel out . Sit back keep calm and have a cuppa then check out the state of play . Years ago we never had the pleasure of pin pointing the dog before on top , we had to search for the dog after a period of time . We still then after finding the dog had a cuppa and then start to dig to the dog . Makes for a better dog I'd say .3 points

I have used the Imbra trap for over 50 years and never found a fault with them they strike hard if the Rabbit is either going in or coming out and other than Hedgehogs I cannot recall a Foul catch about five years ago my hands became so bad I could not open the Imbra so I bought some Juby traps which are set by foot and I was back in the game , like the Imbra the Juby gives the Rabbit a hard smack just where it is needed but with a lot more power. These traps were designed by trappers who knew what they were doing and made traps that KILLED RABBITS but not really practical for rats because2 points

Maybe they have tightened up security. I was there before je suis Charlie about 9 or 10 year ago before they kicked off. Travelling through the train stations there was zero employees or security but every couple of hundred yards you would meet a half dozen immigrants curled up on the floor giving us the dirty eyeballs. I was well prepared to ninja kick my missus, knock her out and sacrifice her so I could safely escape.?2 points

The hunt near me build what they call wigwams ,branches and boughs all layerd up against a tree in a wood ,the base being 20 ft across ,These hold . They also use sleepers on edge dug in or not and covered in branches and turf these also hold . There is no rhyme nor reason to why some perfectly placed dry arts never hold no matter the encouragement and a wet drain further on has one in . A variety is the thing I’d say and don’t try it too often .2 points

get the ferret in your hand and sit on the floor let the pup have a sniff etc.if he want's to bite the ferret. give him a tap on the nose and a firm no.let them share some food. no good having either behind mesh looking at each other.it will frustrate the dog no end. handle the ferret for a few min's untill your hand's smell of ferret then rub your hands all over the dog's head especially around his muzzle nose etc. so he is continually having the smell of ferret going up his nose. but the no1 thing to do is keep everything chilled out and relaxed and nice and quiet and cal2 points

Mate, I was by one of those Football Lads Alliance marches last year, thousands and thousands of lads......where has that got anyone? Nowhere, absolutely nowhere. Im guessing your average bloke in Britain is about 2 pay cheques away from being in shtook at any one time with all the exes wrapped round him........that bloke is a piece of piss to deal with. One phone call to the Bank of England or the Bundesbank and all that blokes work drys up, his factory closes, his interest rate rises and bang, he is out the game.......so busy trying to keep a roof over his families head that he cou2 points
