Brought this woodburner off eBay for my pallet house I built at the small holding it was £135 all in with 2 1m flue sections and 2 right angle bends 2 wall brackets and a rain cowl I also got an extra flue section and bend at £12 each i thought I would take a chance but I tell you what it’s a bloody great piece of kit, really kicks out the heat it’s not the thickest of metal but no thinner than my frontier stove so should last a few years at least and it draws much better with the 5” flue9 points

Got myself a new 35e. I sold my previous 177 35e (export version with wallnut stock). Got a hw85 afterwards....great rifle but missed the whoawww factor. So I bought this one, its also a export, but its a .22. The .22 caliber is more suited for the shortstroke and 30 mill piston than the 177....-atleast thats what I think. I took off 4 coills, polished the piston and a few other parts. Re-greesed the moving parts and now shoots and cocks superb. So guys.... If youre in for a hw35: -spend the extra money and go for the export version -get it in 22 Cheers6 points

Colourwise, the Merle factor, (visually.. can frequently produce some really strange, end products... The general consensus is that the large plain patches on a particular individual denote the type. A dog with Blue (as opposed to Black) patches might be termed, a Blue Merle,..a Brindle hued specimen,..a Brindle Merle, etc, etc.. Whatever the result of this ancient gene,...they are all a wee bit different, in one way or another...?6 points

Headed out this morning with my brother, he's not really into hunting of any kind but he's likes to join now and again for a change of scenery. So I don't mind at all. Had with us a few purse nets which we chucked a hand full out, we back netted more than bolted into! Also the beddy cross bracken and a older jill along with a couple of first timers. A hob has shown some potential but plenty of time for that.4 points

Finally got a little paper work together with the old lady of 1978. The modern Genesis scope sits beautifully and gives a lovely crisp, clear view. The FWB Sport is no pcp and takes some learning of their characteristics/ hold sensitivety. Here`s the 124 carrying the Genesis UL scope . Here`s her first zero on a 5p target at 38 yds. Two or three clicks left should do it on the final zero. Here`s the FWB Sport 127 ( .22) at work on the squirrels. She`s ca4 points

I went for a quick wander earlier on for an hour with the hushpower 20. Amazing autmn colours and a bright fresh day. I started using a slab of Ely vip 32g 5s I was hoping they where going to be slower/quieter with them been a heavy load but they where just the same as the 28s iv been using. Saw 2 roe deer bouncing through the woods and had a enjoyable wander. No sighn of any rabbits tho it's been very quiet with them here this year. Here's a couple of pics...4 points

As per usual we were on the fields just as the day was breaking, after instructions from the keeper were he wanted us to tackle first we got kitted out and made our way out,I went to the left of our starting point and my mate went right, along a gulley which was littered with holes. Nell flushes a rabbit out of the reeds and gave chase, unsighted at times, now I’m sure if I had given chase I’d have picked it up, instead it made the safety of a wall, after a few choice words she was soon marking a small warren, so with nets round I dropped a pair of albino sisters in and waited, I didn’t have l3 points

My pals old bandog.Always placed top 3 in protection trials even though he didnt start competing untill he was 9years old and barely does any protection training and was just a pet till my mate got him aged about 6years.Even blowing profesional security dogs out of the water and imo the only reason he never got a 1st was dog world politics. The dog has also saved my pals skin in a few real life sticky situations and has proven hes not just a sleeve happy sport dog.Blue bitch is his daughter to a pure neo.3 points

Yeah I built it after my canvas bell tent got flattened by that heavy snow last winter and to be honest the tent was up at least 18 months and was starting to go mouldy even after being retreated so I’ve taken it down now for this winter so I’ll be camping in the pallet house or my old caravan for the winter its great I’ve got an old canvas hammock that hangs just in front of the burner so I can just put an arm out and chuck a log or two in without having to get up ??3 points

Over at one of my permissions yesterday to see if we could end the suffering of a young buck we had seen the previous evening with a smashed up back leg , he came out as we were leaving and we had no chance to get a shot . Yesterday morning we did manage to get a couple of glimpses of him but he was always on the move and never gave any chance of a safe shot . During the effort to get him we came across a doe laying injured in a dried out pond , another road casualty she was despatched where she lay , by now it was early afternoon and the place came alive with three or four bucks who all star2 points

Yep u heard it right a couple of boys from down the road where kind enough to offer a welsh weirdo and a Scottish gobshite a day/ night on there land. We met around 8am at a point off there choosing and set off. I must say I was alittle taken back with how welcoming the boys where to me and my son considering they where friends off the big weirdo and I was just a tag along ?. All dog’s there settled in not a bad atmosphere between them. We split up done some Reed beds and and a few burrows here and there and a few nasty knocks along the way. We stopped on 22-25 not quite sure as the hosts eve2 points

Had a little trip out this morning. I have not been doing as much of anythong as i should so decided to make an effort. Up at 5.30 for a feed, drink and get the gun ready.. off to mcdonalds for another feed and away we go I was early so had to wait for the daylight.. turns out the farmer was waiting for the same thing. It seemed like he was waiting on me to take the fun out the slip before he fired up the old quad He skipped around moving lecky fences and scareing the rabbits down the holes so i was not going to win today but as i wasnthere it would be rude not to have a look.2 points

My vacation is over - finally I managed to hunt a small wild boar on a driven hunt (and I also missed 2 foxes ?) and I was able to hunt my first fallow deer. The rut season is at his peak in Romania and a friend of mine just told me about this opportunity. After to splendid mornings of stalking, I finally had a chance to take a shot to this male. It was a moving target and I had to shot trough a small window in the dense forest. The male was hit in the chest (close to the right leg) and I recovered the projectile from the skin, near the tail. Despite this, he managed to raise again2 points

And just to add there’s a shaley deep spot we do that the tubes go down nearly vertically and from the entrance and you can clearly hear a terrier working even mute and we’ve dug this place at over 12 feet. It’s not the depth of a place that makes the difference in the way sound travels through the tubes.2 points

i think he shoots them with his shot gun then leaves the shotty in the hide and puts one of his air rifles down for the pic atvbjimmy and he is just as bad with the shotty as he still needs to freeze them to make the numbers look good2 points

Popped over to the perm last night for a play with the photon, couple of missed opportunity's, but the moon being out didn't help casting shadows everywhere and I was lit up like a beacon, but I did manage this 40yarder which I got on video too haha.. Liking the photon, just need to practice my stealth mode as I'm too noisy and clumsy haha..2 points
