  1. You should have seen the state of my mate when he realised he had to go to jail, had to be seen to be believed. Shouting, cursing, refusing the offer of food and drink. I'll never play monopoly with him again.

  4. Got up the shoot at 8:00 had a quick check of the zero which was still bang on, 1” high at 100 yds. Got to the spot where I wanted to be alongside a cover crop where I’d seen a fox two nights before but the wind was completely wrong so I changed my plan and drove two field on where I know there is always a fox lurking. There are a set of tramlines which run right down the middle of the field which I always park up on and it was ideal as the wind was coming right into my face. What wasn’t ideal though was that there was a fox already out in the field which clocked me before I clocked it and wen

  6. If you look at the pups the second from the left & second from right have a small white blaze on there chest which soon disappeared as the dogs coat change colour, these pups were 1/16 border terrier the rest was Rillington blood,at the time mid 1990s there was only me and Printer off this forum that had so much Rillington blood in are dogs apart from G Newcombe, the point I am making is these were very well bred dogs work wise yet they had small blaze of white on there chest, the pup second from the left I kept and as you can see he had no white on his chest when he was older but what he di

  10. So after yesterday's downpour I decided it would be a good idea to head over to my new permission again. Lots of nice damp green grass the bunnies would be out and gourging on it I told myself. Got there and sure enough plenty of rabbits around, however it was blowing a gale! 40mph gusts apparently. Rabbits were very nervous which is unusual for this bunch, I couldn't get within 60 yards before they scattered! Pigeons were the same, couldn't get near them. After an hour of stalking, a rabbit wandered out about 25 yards in front of me. Just as I lined up my shot a buzzard flew over,

  11. I wouldn’t say I’m confused as I know exactly what I want from a lurcher. In my case I wanted to start a proper well bred line of bull whippet greys , in order to do that I needed a well bred bull whippet that works to a high standard. Both the whippet and pits used were very well bred going from sooty Sam on the whippet side and Frisco on the pit. The bitch I crossed ace to also hunts with us and is a top class fox bitch. I’ve seen her dispatch foxes many times. Ace suits the hunting we do to the ground and really excels in regards to where and what we hunt. So I would say that I k

  13. The chicken sheds have been very quiet recently with very little rat activity due to the change of pest controller who knows his job (b*****d lol).Got the call last minute as usual and turned up with 4 terriers . Like the old days really with rats breaking out as the shed was moving and terriers doing their thing . Finished with 168 with about 20 killed under the shed as it cleared the muck and not in the pic . Hopefully some immunity has been built up . Brings our running tally to 19,775 since starting in 2008

  14. Arrange for him to get a work placement, apprenticeship maybe working towards a qualification... They happy to bend over backwards for some kid to change gender..... Poor kids not happy in a classroom, shouldn't be forced to go to school if he struggling imo. Tell the cheeky cnuts you get him a home tutor for English math etc. Government are some clowns..... Send parents to jail and cause a family that much heartache.....out of touch fantasists. Proper cnuts. Hope you get it resolved with your lads needs being the priority ?

  15. As said, do make sure that you get proper help. Also put together as much info as you can about the lads struggles, truancy, upheaval of moving school and, about his progress on the work placement - see if they'll give a reference on his attendance and behaviour. Let them know about your daughter so that they can see that you're not a 'Don't give a shit' parent. If you get the chance, let the court know that you know that your boy isn't cut out for mainstream education and, make it clear that his behaviour and the court case has had an effect on your missus.

  17. Adam C, chances are some ot that white, or even all of it, will disappear as the pups grow. They'll probably make better workers then lol. Good luck with them fella. And I know it's hard not to react to some people on here, but you certainly DON'T need to explain yourself to anyone ?

  21. Why is the selling of coursing dogs for crazy amounts of money accepted by folk on here who would cry murder at anyone else selling pups for a price not even close to that? That's not a pop at the coursing lads but more a question to those on here. Why do they get a free pass whereas others get ripped to shreds?

  27. Apricots are swelling up, so the jam pan might get a work out. Plums seem to be a little behind, but there's still plenty of time to make good. Strawb troughs dried out a little, big strawbs didn't do so well, but the Alpine Strawbs did ok, not a big harvest, but I only bought them to see how they went, 99p for 50 seeds and soil, seed tray, and closhe, so had to give them a whirl. Gooseberries did well, but I left them to the Blackbirds since they were stuggling, so no pix as they ate the lot. So some success and some failures. Sorry about the split post, but I can't

  35. Feck me I've been reading a few posts you've commented on morton and your full of shit.the lads been straight from the start about what he's bred and what he wants them for.the lads who have already got them must be happy with them and people have a choice either to buy them or not he's not bullshitting about what they are and to be honest I recon if I had 1 out of the litter I'd have it grafting not a problem

  41. One tip if you've never been on a forum before is don't take anything to heart . People will be blunt with you . Some will be bellends . Just the way internet is. But if your genuinely looking for help/ tips/ info on hunting this place can be a goldmine. Personally I've learn so much from reading this site it's been great . Most of the stuff on here is not something I do but reading about the mole catchers / falconry / fishermen on here it's great learning about it . But on here the dog running guys have really opened my eyes to hunting with dogs . Not something I've done or plan on doing bu
