Why not just get dogs from guys over here? To hell with the PED. Go out with guys and hunt, if you like their stuff get a dog. If the dog turns out great, if not so be it. I knew no one with dogs. Called a random guy near me and he took me out. Showed me his dogs. Explained their faults and what he liked. Explained why he bred what he did. Couldn’t ask for more. Since I’ve met a few other guys who have been nothing but help. Just work your dogs. If you do that the rest will fall into place10 points

personally if your bitch is lacking in any aspect of her work I would not breed from it, if you do its likely sentimentality driven, and wont be corrected by the dog, no mater how good he is. i would not use a stud with faults over a great bitch, so why go the other way.8 points

Try this lads it`s delicious. Grey on the left, chicken on the right A few friends round tomorrow and just the one left, atb Mark.5 points

That sounds like an honest comment from a decent fella Yankee, too rare these days when all you hear is this dog done this and this dog done that and stayed for so long bla bla bla, there's nothing wrong with saying this dog failed or that dog did this wrong because anyone with any experience can smell the bullshit a mile away and you'll be found out. If any of my dogs failed, so what!!! it's no big deal I'll just move on.5 points

Don't bother ACE, you won't be missed here .Change your name again and behave for a 3rd chance to fit in lol.5 points

I've fed almost exclusively on chicken with no issues and I gave plenty of pork to, again with no issues. The only issues I had from pork was they struggled to pass the bone, I had to take one to the vet for a quick "finger blasting" !! My mate had the same problem with his terrier, he phoned me while he was on the way to the same vet and I told him what he did for my dog. This boy wasn't frightened of "having a go himself", he phoned me back after a few minutes laughing his bollocks off, he was cover in shit, all up his chest lol5 points

Had an early walk out for the last two days now , it’s one of them tasks that can become fruitless on the other hand just when you think there’s nothing down for ya you spot something that’s makes it all worthwhile ???????? Early to midday seems to be quite productive lately4 points

I've used mesh like that for over fifty years no problems. As The One said it used to rot out after two or three years when we used to use chicken wire but now you can get good quality weld mesh. You can make two groves so you can with draw the mesh out for cleaning. I just have a nine inch strip of one inch weld mesh at one end of of the hutch works well for me, the wooden part of the floor stays lovely and dry. I've always thought the mesh on super market trolleys would be good as you never seem to see a rusty one. Cheers Arry4 points

Just found out recently about the air rifle range in Hartlepool so decided to take my youngest lad and my trusty old air rifles(should have left him at home really as he outshot me again little sod ) , I don't know wether it's been done already or not about the range but it's worth a visit to spend an hour or so and the food is a bonus. We,ll be back there next week to have another plink at the targets.3 points

Morton,my point was any terrier can be trained to do anything a Bedlington can do and I stand by that ,I agree they may not do it as quickly as a Bedlington or have the legs to climb stone walls but there’s more to a hunting than who’s the quickest terrier,I’ve been like You Morton impressed with the Bedlingtons speed & drive and I agree it takes some beating but in my late 30s I bought a Lucas terrier which wasn’t as quick as my Bedlingtons but in every way she was better at ratching about, she caught more rabbits ,she worked close & brain wise she could buy & sell my Bedlington,wh3 points

I agree two crows but how many bitches have you seen bred from because of there lineage produce some decent stuff but like wise I have seen some bitches work to a high standard yet produced nothing near themselves i suppose it's hit and miss or for those with a eye for a line to continue3 points

That's partly what I was getting at. If you put in enough work to any dog or bitch, you'll know if they're worth breeding off long before they reach 5 or 6 years of age. Like you say, at 2-3 years of age, some dogs will have been worked harder and more frequently, than some 4 or 5 year old dogs. And if they've remained sound, and have shown the abilities etc you desire, then you'll know what you have on your hands3 points

Put my 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddie over my pure beddie bitch. Should make handy little ferreting, bushing and mooching dogs. Both dog and bitch are excellent workers. I'm looking forward to seeing how they turn out. Atb Adam3 points

Especially from China, arrrsoo..... I got this smk DB3 thingy underlever in 17 and well, if you ever drove an old vintage tractor you will understand! Guessing the odd supersonic Superdome was not a good thing I stripped it down and did the usual work. Trigger too. It's starting to bed in after half a tin but needs more. Tonight though it took a rabbit and I am thrilled. It's a Springer as crude as they get but it has oomph and character. The air is all around me, no bottles, gauges and definitely a character! How's this then! Shot about 8am, on my plate for 1pm in my belly by 1.01pm bloody delicious! Pan fried the breasts and left to rest, made an orange zest and white wine reduction served with some rocket and watercress on a ciabatta. My first time eating woodies but definitely not the last. Was amazing, I would say on par with a decent medium rare fillet steak!2 points

Where revolver cartridges shine and are perfect for Britain but not popular are from rifles and carbines. I had huge success with my 357 w94. I would plink that rifle to 600 yards on full power and chip rabbits on sqib loads, bullet backwards. U.2 points

I like the idea of reverse bred types , something that doesn’t look like a conventional lurcher that you could walk any where with and nobody would bat an eyelid good luck with the litter ?2 points

I am not saying that what I am saying his quite abit different some change through age and change over night I believe this working animals at times can only be has good has there last outing some do dramatically either through maturity etc ain't the animal at five has they were at two .i prefer a jule that steadily begets better some two yr olds don't improve they hit there level then don't improve any more yas can never know that till they have a few seasons behind them and that s a fact why lots a men breed from well seasoned jukels etc his one a the reasons I seen animals kill hundr2 points

I see trump as a man who seen his country getting a liberal lefty cock up its ass and said nah no more, he cared enough to stick his neck on the line and do something about it so he ran for office and won and the world not just America needed him, now he has. Billions so doesn't need the hassle and can go to anywhere in the world when he feels like it. So apart from all the lefty lies about him why did he do it? Il tell you why, like most of us and working class America he actually cares about the wrong happening in his country enough to do something about it and luckily for us he's got the m2 points
