I don't agree with that statement buddy. You can Jack any dog but as a terrierman its your job not to let it get to that point. I agree all dogs even well bred ones don't make it. But 80% of time it dude to human error. It just depends how honest you are with yourself. For some lads its just easier to to blame the dog.7 points

The countymans weekly was the shooting news back in the day pabs, I'm beginning to think you're Sean Frain himself, I have to read both of your work a dozen times and still walk away none the wiser.7 points

The halcyon days, when you got home after a session poaching without any hassle. The "tingle" isn't quite there on permission and I sometimes feel that I'm not being as stealthy as I would be if poaching? Cheers, D.5 points

It's crazy how much it takes over your life an hardly nothing else matters, dogs an terrier work is constantly on my mind even through the summer months, when your ment to be relaxing before it all kicks off again, our lass was in Labour last Tuesday for 12 hours (what a f***ing nightmare that was) an half way though she said who are you texting? I said just a mate telling him what bitches are getting lined next summer? , she just laughed an said am mental.atb4 points

The world has changed and not for the better, i would love to go back to those days lugging a small car battery around instead of a motorbike battery that lasted 1 hour. Christ i wish i was as fit now as i was then, jumping ditches that would crease me now me , out till 4 in the morning and work next day never bothered me. I consider myself lucky to be born when i was, i remember walking down the street with a shotgun so long as the barrels were broken the police didnt give a shit. Halcyon days never to return . UNFORTUNATELY.4 points

Much as I think the world of him I wouldn't have a bull cross again I just don't need that amount of umph. I just want to catch a couple of rabbits not take out any game with in a ten mile radius every time I set foot out the door and he can't shoot for shit Not sure if a collie cross would fit the bill but if I have another I want some thing a bit more laid back4 points

I think we have all strayed from the fold,..the sheer excitement and thrill of the spotlight's glare, ignited in a fire in the hearts of most hunting men... It gave us all,..another way to work our dogs. ..it was great,..it was safe,...the night belonged to us... No,..I've never regretted, walking by night, but nowadays, I much prefer to see the dawn come up. and take in the fabulous sights of rural Britain...?4 points

I use to sell rabbits and harvested them with air, 22, hornet and even (to use up cheap components) 308! This was commercial rabbiting. The game dealer want 50-100 rabbits a fortnight, all head shot and paid me well. The down loaded hornet and 308 were rare occasions and fun but the 22 got most but on a windy night the WMR made things alot easier for the rifleman and in all honesty there was less missed due to wind, wind outside, not in the cab, although at times that was bad!
