  2. Several weeks ago i bought my 10 yr old grandson a 28g semi auto to learn to shoot with. I took him to a mates clay shoot (spit) three times to give him the basics. He had fifty shots with 14 gram carts the first time, one hundred shots with a mixture of 14/18 gram carts and the seventy five with 21 gram carts. Well last Saturday afternoon i took him to see if he could get a shot or two at pigeon coming into a small wood then maybe a shot at mallard at one of the pits. My mate had loaded some 24 gram steel loads up for his 28g and so gave me some for him to try on the ducks. His first sho

  13. That’s a great start to a lifetime of shooting , my grandad sowed the seeds for my lifetime interest in field sports by taking me ferreting and teaching me how to make nets . I will never forget those frosty mornings or him letting me have one of his woodbines “ don’t tell your dad “ .

  14. I don’t trust any of them at all mate, I have said for years career politicians are not the “best in class” at Oxford or Cambridge or Harvard or Yale......they are like the 3rd best Or 2nd if we are lucky. They are polytechnic grads and such like, maybe you get the odd barrister done good or property developer as president. What they are not is the finest minds in the world and yet we have all looked to them for guidance, we have danced to their tune socially and economically....... I don’t think things are that hard, just be sensible......wether anyone thinks this virus is real

Not long now and it will all be behind you, anyone with a brain cell should be worried about the fall out from this cold and the state of world economics, but proper men prepare for the battle ahead while spineless little girls are ready to sell out there own country’s for the promise of somewhere to hide under someone else’s petty coat, ?

  22. While I like to think of myself as pretty libertarian and would broadly support the aims and ideals of the Koch foundation who funded that declaration, there’s always alarm bells when something with big business behind it is telling people to do something. You can’t just roll back the state in one area, namely just to get consumers back on the street.......you have to roll it back all over the show. My personal opinion is pretty simple, governments have robbed everyone blind for the last 25 years and certainly that greed for private citizens money has been on steroids since 2008 so n

  30. That crash of the late 80s / early 90s was brutal, lads were chucking themselves off buildings and all sorts. Bloke I know had 300 people working on Canary Wharf on the Monday and on the Tuesday he had nothing......Olympia & York went skint and that was that. But the world turns, he brought himself back and we are all still sitting here talking about it so there you go........I for one hope it’s brutal enough to get the government off peoples back and allow them to thrive easily. Too many demands and too much regulation, take that off people’s shoulders and any downturn won’

  33. I'm currently working on a project which will see 200+ pop up job centres being installed around the UK. Such is the seriousness of this situation the gov has seen fit to spend 'a lot' of money on this extra capacity for the unemployed. If your lucky enough to have work at the moment, no matter what or where, no matter how much you hate it just keep at it because we're heading to dark place and being a job seeker during that time is the last thing you want.

  35. I really enjoyed reading this write up. It's just like being there. You can almost feel the odd drop of rain on the wind and the sound of the leaves on the wind. AND feel the football's of mud clogged on the wellies. I remember one time where I got off of a drilling onto a track and it felt really weird like being weightless after I'd scraped the mud off on the sheep netting.

  36. That needs to be taken in perspective. £300 for a terrier pup would be a lot of money until very recently. 1980's the big names in Russells starting selling off the family silver, mostly to USA and Europe then Lakeland/Patterdale men followed on. It's come full circle. Any fool can buy a terrier these days that would have been be a potential Great Yorkshire show winner 40 year ago, but it would struggle because other fools also now have them. They may all look the part but will they work like the ones 40 year ago used to?
