Nipped out to check how my guests were enjoying the banquet of pigeons I left them today. As I turned the car into the farm drive I was met with a fox staring at me 100 yards away. I eased out the vehicle, got my gear and slowly moved in. With the NV I observed something amazing. It turns out one fox was up wind of two rabbits trying to push the rabbits to another fox down wind of them! Never seen it before and frankly I was very impressed. Oh yeah, I got on with the shot and as soon as the lamp struck the fox it was glued to my light, the prospect of it running at any moment so11 points

Local good farmer mate of mine has losed some lambs already .so after a good day or 2 of serious down pours me and my youngest boy ventured out today.we tried a good few earths and got a strong mark out of one .brian entered fox was out in about 3 minutes but made it to a another spot .brian in again and he bolted .was cleanly shot .one happy farmer ,and on the plus side it was him that shot it . Old brian doesn't like photos with other people .?11 points

on my kennel, all treated so waterproof, should last good 10 years. Had a chippy do it for me he done few jobs before. Nice and warm in there, both dogs got heat lamps, and sleep on horse blankets from of my neighbour who keeps horses and alpacas and sheep. They both got there own beds and own space. ?8 points

Well I thought I’d give the sheep farm another go tonight, now the wind was still mental but at least it wasn’t raining, tonight I took little Hugo’s dad with me, I gave him the chance to shoot as he has had a couple of misses lately and needed to redeem himself, I even let him use his chopstick shooting sticks, On arrival I noticed that a group of ewes and lambs had been moved to the top field as this is the driest place on the farm, so that’s where we headed, getting to the top of the field it was a few seconds before we spotted the fox heading at a good pace along the track towards the lamb6 points

6 month old pup came through mange and now developing into a nice dog. A real pain in the house though worse than any bull breed I have had, ruined everything, just starting to up his exercise a little now as he has too much energy.5 points

Dropped onto a spot I was at last week when I shot a lone vixen. It’s only a smallish field but it’s safe shooting and it produces foxes constantly from surrounding woods and land. Nothing after 30 mins squeaking then I the flicked the lamp on and there was two sets of eyes, obviously a pair and very close together. They hadn’t come to the squeak, they weren’t interested. They didn’t seem too mithered by me shining the lamp, they had other things on their mind. Both disappeared for 5 mins then reappeared from out of some brambles. Whack! 75 yards. The vixen dropped and her mate left the scene5 points

For a stone cottage like mine, I could not afford to run my oil heating to keep the house warm it would cost me more than £50 a week in oil , yet it costs me £25 in coal .. electric would cost me well over £75 a week to heat the house .. Yea the fires there just to look pretty ?????5 points
-
I don’t know one single person that has an open fire or stove because they’re pretty, they’re all used as a cheaper alternative than central heating.5 points

It's a dual focus for most manufacturers mate, hydrogen is very difficult to store but easy to make, electricity is easier to store but expensive/difficult to produce...full hydrogen or electric vehicles are so far away from being mass produced and mass sold its untrue .. the UK is perhaps one of the easier market places due to short run times between most cities, look at the USA, lots of Asia, Africa and Australia where you could be travelling thousands of miles before hitting a city...in face the reliance on diesel generators to keep whole towns in power in many sub continent areas is huge..3 points
-
The infrastructure around the new electrical age is monstrous...I mean to the point of impossible..so alternatives must be used .. the past 2 years working in Paris and getting a verified, independently audited report from the Mayors office has greatly changed how alternative solutions are looked at, ours being one of the many....electric is not and never will be the only answer to Fossil fueled engines...well not in our lifetimes and probably not our kids.... Now personally I dont go in for the climate change argument, I think the world, earth and all those on it (all forces) are impossi3 points
-
As you know mate I have a business based around reduction in emissions, particulary particulates from diesel engines.. Now we have been talking with some very big generator companies, utilitlity providers etc...what people donta see is whilst the government are blaming road vehicles, cars particularly that is the tip of the iceberg... on one site alone, that are one of our new "green" energy providers, there are 15'000 diesel generators for back up.... so its smoke and mirrors all round..as we know... also these new diesel generators have a lot of problems with after burn cleaning, result3 points

Open your eyes man, as soon as you see wood stoves and open fires rolled in as one you are being lied to and some of the modern pellet stoves are possibly as clean a source of heat as you can get whilst using up recycled wood as fuel3 points
-
That is not an answer. You said: "Most people burn wood for looks, just because they want to sit by a pretty fire, they don't actually need it." Nothing in the post above supports your statement. In fact it undermines your opinions. I really don't expect you to answer me properly because you obviously haven't got any facts to support you opinions. And remember that 9 hours ago you took Wilf to task and told him: " I suggest you check facts before you quote " I suggest that you do the same.3 points

Had a mooch out this avo. Heard a bit of a commotion....... local beagle pack had lost ten couple hounds. No one to be seen and they were hunting like stink so I went with them for a good while and had a bit of hunting before finally getting hold of the huntsman.3 points

I just think we have been burning wood for hundreds of thousands of years......it’s only since the industrial revolution that air quality has deteriorated. So, I recon that a massive clue right there ! Nobody wants to be realistic because it don’t suit them, they can continue to buy shit from China, go to f***ing Tesco, have central heating, live in new build housing as long as you stop Fred Blogs having his open fire because that makes it all OK ! Its complete f***ing nonsense lads......round my old way they are going to build 30,000 new houses and a massive f***ing crossing ac3 points

Chernobyl is poisoned for the next 25,000 years with clean energy. Never mind some blokes log burner, stop eating anything with palm oil so that they stop cutting down the lungs of the planet.....or is it easier to just stop the bloke using his log burner? stop using your car so that asbestos particles don’t come off the break pads any more...... You know, the list is endless...... Picking on a small minority of people to make everyone feel better and f**k doing anything about the big inconvenient things that may affect “us” Nonsense I’m afraid chaps2 points
-
Fair is telling another bloke what he can and can’t do when you are doing everything yourself mate. I still can’t get to grips with how forcing a bloke to sacrifice his log fire helps when nobody is sacrificing their central heating or Imported goods or factory meat. Fair is everyone giving up their carcinogenic particle generating things if they expect the other bloke to give up his fire........it’s easy to “do something” when it’s at someone else’s expense.2 points

spot on, old bryn is top dog , only because now Buck lets him , you here few growls etc from Buck , when bryn want to go in B uck side for what ever reason. But 100 % there better of with there own space , Buck not dog aggressive , he dont want to fight any dog , but i honestly believe if shove come to push , and he got to fight another dog , he either kill it or damage it very bad, he fit powerful 90 lb dog with very strong jaw, no there better off with there own space. and it be spot on if i ever get another lurcher pup , they settle alot quicker with there own space, but still see t2 points

It is propaganda which is designed to make the uninformed and gullible believe it, if this badger, the foxes and the crows previous were really hung up by someone not him wouldn't he be showing the pictures of them doing it from his CCTV camera's ? Don't believe the hype.2 points
