Good shift tonight - everything went well and I got all of my trains in and away a little early Apparently that is the longest railway gantry in the country - I have no idea if that's true, it's what one of our lads told me. It supports the overhead power lines outside the yard. The Pheasant berries have ripened a bit early - they're quite nice, they taste like caramel. And, I found out that hedgehogs can get the hump .......... this little one was in the middle of one of the tracks - I think he was too small to climb out over the rail. He was m11 points

Here is a snippet of ours Wolfdog. Might give you a few idea's. As Arry said, we also done it our way, and was very laid back. To be honest, the wife was the brain child behind it all, and I just turned up on the day.7 points

Sausage and mash with a shallot gravy, I’d of liked to of left the shallots chopped, like proper onion gravy, but she won’t eat it like that so has to be wizzed up, says she doesn’t like onions but they go in almost everything I cook, she’s a strange one4 points

I’ve said this before on a post. Two old dog men, sadly no longer with us, who I had a lot of respect for, had completely opposite views on dew claws. Typp Ratcher would penalise any dog with dew claws when he was judging lurcher shows, and I had many a “discussion” with him about this but he was adamant that they should be removed. Paul Sagar, the saluki man was just as adamant that they should NOT be removed as they were attached to a tendon that went across the wrist and would weaken the wrist if removed. So, who knows, I’ve had dogs with and without dew claws and to be h4 points

Walked in a small creek in town today.I seen bubbles.I knew it was a yearling otter.I sat and watched him hunt. I didn't move as otter can't see good.He made his way right to my feet.He was spinning in circles to catch his prey.It was strangely similar to a tactic that I've seen dolphins use. Finally he spotted me and was gone.4 points

I always take the work when it’s there, because one day it might not be, it’s a shame a lot of the young’uns aren’t like that, the amount we’ve had that want a few quid and manage a day before rapping is ridiculous, I’ve given up asking now and just do it myself3 points

My lad and his now wife did it out side in a field out side a summer house sort of thing with some lady doing the ceremony bit pagan like, still very nice. its what they wanted they live in a thatched cottage on the side of Dartmoor with farm building around. Also the rings were past around for every body to make a wish on the rings had long ribbons on incase they got dropped I suppose. Reception was in a barn a Cornish band "Flats and Sharps" with pig roast people could wear what ever they wanted. Big bonfire beers in a big tub of ice very laid back the most relaxed wedding I've ever been to.3 points

What got me into the wild camping was about 17yrs ago and old cumbrian mate I used go lamping with asked me if I fancied a camping trip up in Scotland. I can't remember the exact route, but was on Rannock moor above Kinloch Rannock we started from and did a solid 5 days and 4 nights out. Stopped in boffys for 3 nights and 1 night in the tent. I loved it, I add my old dog with me. I remember back then I had all old bog standard kit which weighed a ton lol. Kit has seriously moved on now as my pack now fully loaded is about 6kg ( that's without food or water ) tho. A old pic of me3 points

Think its a case of a little dog getting away with things lol. If that was a 30k bull cross it would be viewed differently. The little JR here was the best dog of my life time and wasnt a fighter but he was the boss. Lucky for him here the big fella was a gentle soul lol2 points

I've been thinking about this one all weekend, and I just can't wrap my head around it. It's one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen. Is she mad or is she bad ? . Her actions are pure evil of the very worst kind imaginable. It's impossible to put those evil actions with that innocent looking young woman we've all seen on the TV , the two things just don't fit together . I think my brain just can't accept that anyone could do such evil things , to innocent little babies. I could cry just thinking about it.2 points
