Child benefit is not means tested every one gets it no matter how much you earn .. If you earn over £50,000 you can choose not to get it or choose to receive it and pay a higher tax rate .. It's got nothing to do with churning out kids to get free money some people really are clueless on this site

I do yes. But I can only speak of my experience in working class northwest England. I see plenty of money about, plenty of work and a people who see luxury as nessesity, a reliance on government to give them a trouble free existence and a division in society of grafters and takers. I go into hundreds of houses, see people's expenditures and finances in courts and know a local community well. I just don't see the issues I'm told we are all suffering. I see people in 'deprived' areas living off expensive takeaways and junk food while having up to date technology and fat chav pedigree dogs.

It doesn’t affect me so I’m not sure, but my point was the duplicity of Labour, and all politicians come to that. Call the other side’s policies all the names under the sun ……. then use them yourself when you get into power ! Cheers.

I'm in Alabama.This recent trip was just across the line in Tennessee. Everything in the woods here can bite or sting.From poison ivy and black widows.To alligators and snapping turtles.The only critter here who might kill you is poisonous snakes.Cottonmouths are the only aquatic pit viper and in my opinion they are the devils handiwork. The most dangerous part isn't the critters in my opinion.This recent trip temps rose to 95 with a heat index of 105f.Thats 40.5celsius. There is no cell phone signal.If you get in trouble you are alone.But that's the same part I enjoy lol.

I’d love referendums on things such as capital punishment, net zero, a complete ban on illegal immigration, a halt to overseas aid, a ban on Central Bank Digital Currency, to name just a few, but the politicians are well aware of how these referendums would go and shudder at the though of giving the people a say !
