Being an open forum means we can't post any hunting bar rabbits now. I've used up all the overseas hunting pictures I have and haven't any new ones. The "other" forum, where we could post most anything we like has been ruined by one man who has achieved his aim because the admin buried their heads in the sand and allowed him to do it. This site is basically just a chat room now. Some laughs, some nonsense, sometimes even a decent thread, but it's not a hunting site anymore, sadly Cheers.

I went out on the shoot before I finished in January to shoot my last fox as a gamekeeper. The mission was to get a nice head and give it to the local taxidermist ( Mark Ball) and have it mounted for posterity . I shot two and gave him both capes and said take your pick of the best one . I think he did a good job .

That wee fella doesn't know or care the way his legs look ,it's humans like myself that judge those type of legs.It's also fair to say that once you saw what the dog had to offer, underground, you would think his legs were the best damn legs a dog could have, grafters do that to you and are a joy to spend time with while involved in the sport.Sadly good honest workers are becoming hard to find.

As Churchill said " democracy isn't perfect, but it's the least worst of all the others". Much the same for our justice system, it's not great, but it's better than the alternatives. I was once in a debate asking what could replace democracy. I said a benevolent dictatorship, like Solomon, but the problem there is that dictators don't stay benevolent once they gain power. Yerr, some snowflakes on that airgun forum as well. They seem to add their own bits on to the general license to make life harder for themselves. Just like they’re trying to talk themselves out of actually shooting anything. ?

I don’t really believe in luck , you make your own luck . If you didn’t put the effort in that you do it wouldn’t have been as good . I know some shoots that happen to be near or in between large commercial shoots that put little to no effort in and have fantastic results but they are the exception. I’m sure that if it wasn’t for your diligence and hard work the syndicate members would have very little to shoot at .

My misses ,youngest and mother ln law have been to Scotland for a week and they came back last tuesday on the train and it was a tormented journey for them what with the strikes but yesterday she got a full refund for all their tickets so i myself am behind the strikers all the way...

My brother did jury duty years ago, a very old man was charged with shoplifting, he had walked out of a supermarket with a packet of bacon. As the jury deliberated , my brother said he would never find the old boy guilty. He said the old chap may have just forgot he had the bacon, or he may have been desperate for something to eat, and either way, why should 12 people take days off work for the price of a packet of bacon ?
