Just read all 116 pages of this thread and I must say it's been a roller coaster, from saluki x's to bombing the middle east, our governments war and nhs budgets, non-ped whippets running rings around their coursing counterparts and of course who can forget the slop! Couple of quick observations for anyone not wanting to read the entire thread: Greb asks a million questions, sometimes the same questions just worded different, this has kept the thread very lively. MC foooookin loves the slop! The hares skipping and skimming, also saluki x is clearly the best. Fens is a walking en13 points

Know what lads and lasses. I have had a shite of a time over the last couple of years I was on here every day either helping, buying, asing or being a complete knob (which I admit to). Well, on December 12th I had my new hip fitted which, to be fair, I was a bit distressed about. Not a bit of it. They did the op with me fully awake and within 24 hours I was back indoors having a glass of beer. Chucked the crutches last week in favour of one of my sticks (some of you old guys may remember them) and looking to a new future. Don’t know about ferreting yet but you never know. Wish you all the bes11 points

Evening guys hope this post is allowed. I have recently learnt how to colour black and white photos on Photoshop. I've been doing some of sighthounds and posted them on Instagram (sighthoundsincolor). If you post any black and white photos of lurchers or sighthounds i will attempt to colour them for you. All I ask in return is that I can post the end result on my Instagram (can crop people if desired) This is just a daft winter hobby of mine that's helping me improve my it skills. As a thanks for reading, I've attached a stunning bull lurcher from ww1, I wouldn't want t10 points

The scene is set little bike ride and a bit of skip diving has given us enough wood for a good burn, cable tie repairs to the chairs, the beef still has 5 hrs in the slow cooker, few other bits to go in the oven later and should be all set for a 7 o’clock kick off ??7 points

Just put a nice lump of beef brisket in the slow cooker, got a pile of crusty bread rolls and a few nibbles going to chop a load of wood in a minute and later anyone sad and lonely in the marina is invited to sit around the fire pit talk shit and have some scram and a few beers though I won’t be supplying the drinks ?7 points

I was wondering about sideloader the other day. Well the pigeon shooting was good. Only 46 birds but heck they were hard shooting. We were on top of a hill with a pit behind us. The birds were either coming up the hill low or from left to right with little notice at speed with the wind. By the time you got on the birds they were 50yds plus. Had a brilliant time with an old friend, I haven't shot with Colin for a decade or more! I'm covered in mud and stink of dog after lifting his old labrador over a fence and getting a face full of muddy dog?, I wouldn't of changed a thing4 points

As for the leg cleet i was told my one was a fowl crook by a old boy i showed it to as his father had one and only ever had farmed fowl and used one regular catching them.. Every day is a school day eh..4 points

This is a quarter of a Chicken which I bought for Christmas dinner but as I had a cough and a cold I could not have dinner with my sister and brother in law. My brother in law is getting over Cancer and his immune is very low due to chemo treatment. So this 9lb Chicken which I had off a mate who grows them free range in a orchard. So I cut it into quarters and froze them. That quarter weighed over two and a half pounds and the legs are over one and a half. Was bloody delicious. Cheers Arry4 points

I've seen a few similar types... Looks to be a Pyecombe Crook...the Sussex Downland Shepherds used to carry them... I could have bought several, over the years, wish that I had now? You still see the odd one, on the wall of country Pubs..?3 points

For the fkn life of me i can't see why prince Andrew didn't just apologize in the first place for bringing the monarchy's and his own reputations into disrepute. The accusations i have seen center around a 17 year old in the UK where the age of consent is 16. Unless there are more accusations than i know of I think he or his advisors have handled this badly. Instead of people considering him a sleezy/dirty old man type, he has made himself look more guilty of worse (if he's not) than taking advantage and abusing his position.3 points
