smoking and alcohol , have wreaked many human lives, i smoked for 15 years, then stopped for 30 years , not sure where the money went lol, but feel 100% fitter, regards the booze , well it got me into some situations i have never done sober deff , i only have couple cans on sat or sunday watching the football, nothing mon - Friday .

Nothing has changed mate it was like that when I was young and had kids never had two half penny to rub together. Worked hard and harvesting game to help saved and still got in trouble after the first recession had to take a loan out that was a mill stone around my neck. Hate to say it but it's the kids that keep you poor and still helping my son out now from time to time. Would I change anything if I had my time again? It's the most noxious habit I can think of, foul smelling and disgusting BUT it should be individual choice, though my missus worked in a cancer ward and hates the habit because of what she saw. indeed we need to look for long term strategies to meet these issues but that doesn't take from the fact that tobacco is the low hanging fruit and as a percentage of users in comparison to say alcohol causes much more harm, 2 out of three long term users will die of tobacco related disease which is a lot higher than drinking.

Sad state of affairs that they have created a system where we either vote for the least worst option or vote to keep the worst option out. I'd probably still vote Conservative because the Labour option is terrifying. That's sad as fck really

Yeah, I sometimes cook up 'lights, lungs', etc when they are included in the Beef and Tripe mix, as these superfluous bits of offal can sometimes, go straight through a jukel,. but I would never feed cooked bones to a running dog.. Obviously,.. scores of family dogs get away with eating left over chop bones from the dinner plate,. but I would rather not risk that expensive trip to the Vets...Bones in any shape or form, can cause problems, but on the whole, the raw choice is frequently the safest method... so what we have gathered from this is you like a drink but don’t smoke so therefore smoking is bad and should be banned but drinking is fine and shouldn’t be ? You are a simple creature aren’t you. Alcohol causes as much or more misery as tobacco. But ultimately the issue here is that I don’t believe a government should be quite so able to tell us what we can and cannot do. Self determination is incredibly important and something no government should be able to take away from us.

My whole family coughed our guts up for 6 weeks when we first moved here mate and I still smoked then. I firmly believe it was our lungs clearing out. Go back now to visit and I can literally taste the air, it stinks…..hard to describe but the best way I can put it is that it’s like breathing in dirt. No wonder nearly every kid in my kids classes were on some kind of medication. I think mine were just about the only ones that wasnt.

Could be argued that it did harm your kids. instead of being up and about early bells spending quality time with your children, possibly out for a nice walk in the countryside, you were laid upstairs in your piss.

I guess it all comes down to ways and means, some things, to me at least, are acceptable and some things are definitely not. I have no doubt we get poached a bit but theres barely any evidence and therefore it's not on our radar too much. Previously we've had trophy animals killed, beheaded and left, gates smashed and vehicles and property stolen. This illicits an entirely different response simply because its an entirely different crime. No doubt this pisses off our "regulars" who have been carrying on quietly and without doing too much harm
