As though they've gone over there themselves and dragged the animal off the streets. This whole rescue thing is bollox. Most of the dogs in UK sanctuaries aren't 'rescues'. They are from owners who got fed up with them or couldn't look after them so handed the dog in. I have no problem getting dogs from sanctuaries, but this whole importation of foreign dogs is just a production line for profit.

Personally hate the attitude that excuses someone for being or acting a c**t if they breed a good dog, or own a good dog. Same as anything else, you see it all the time, someone is rich, or attractive or from a certain family and folk ignore their behaviour and condone it. We been short of staff across the whole NHS for decades mate so it would be simple to fix in a decade by offering free university placements for people who serve a certain term after graduation or if they leave then pay back amount taking consideration of time you served?

In the 70's there was a huge exodus of British doctors and nurses to the Middle East, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand. Why ? Well obviously better pay but also better conditions, better prospects, better life style. They were replaced by doctors and nurses from India, Pakistan, Philipines, etc., which lead to less and less nurses and doctors from here being trained. Then some bright spark decided nurses needed a degree ! How many perfectly capable people were put off being nurses at the thought of having to study for a degree ? Feeding time at the pheasant zoo again, this good weather is making a big difference, they are quiet and happy, taking feed and enjoying the sunshine, with the pens being dry they are able to dust themselves and really do look better for it, as the birds are a little older than when they normally go in they have no problem hopping the wire, this isn’t a big problem as they are roosting in and around the pen as they know where they live now, the pens are starting to stink a bit but as they are dry I’ll just keep an eye on them I can’t think of anywhere else I’d rather be on a day like thi

There are a lot of carassin carp in the rivers out here in SW France. They are basically brown goldfish, but confusingly the have the same Latin name as crucians.
