  1. Just to show it’s not all doom and gloom my daughter has been nominated and won a local hero award for her work through the pandemic, we may not believe all the shit being pumped at us on the news but are willing to help others, and she has worked right through all of it looking after key workers kids and she has raised £1000s of pounds to provide Christmas food hampers for the less fortunate on the estate, which she is out delivering as we speak so the fact we don’t go along with all this pandemic and vaccine bollox actually means we can help others out who are suffering, if she was scared an

So set of with the stock in one hand and the barrel with fore arm clipped on to the barrel. Well I set of walking and gets to the square at the bottom of the town on the way to my perm when a copper pulls up. He gets out right Arry the gun has to be in three bit if it's not in a case and yours is only in two. I handed him the gun and said put it back together then, he tried and tried. After few minute

  10. Here's a bit of bullshit from me ; Some years ago, my late daughter was living and working in Australia. She 'phoned me and her mum to tell us they were having a "works do", and Joe Cocker would be singing a few songs and mingling and having a drink with the guests. I said to her " make sure you tell Joe who you are " ! She asked why, and I said Joe and I are mates from a long time back. She was understandably sceptical, so I said tell Joe I was a mate of his back when he was a gas fitter in Sheffield. Anyhow, Joe came to her table and she said her dad was an old mate

I owned one for about a year as a favour to a friend who asked if I could find an appropriate home for him as the family who had him were c**ts. He was tiny and angry but quickly settled in. He was also the most reckless terrier that I have seen. I refrain from using the word game, but he had no regard for his own safety and never learned from mistakes. He ended up with good people with a nice garden and a cat problem.

I,ve put a fair few out over the years never had a problem, came home from a short dog walk last year and my cat had managed to turn on the cooker and start a fire couldn’t see my hand in front my face but still never thought about phoning the fire brigade, I,m a little bit to pro active for my good maybe but I couldn’t sit waiting for 21/2 hrs while my house was on fire, I even rescued an old couple from a burning house a few years back, got a £50 from the family and a bollacking for going into a burning house, got the mug to prove it ???

I once pre ban hunted the same roe buck for about four months, from harvest until sometime in December, ran it a few times in different spots and it very fairly got away through shear speed, agility and running brain, the thing was awesome to watch, eventually it lost the race, and to be fair the dog really deserved it, and it was a kind of happy / sad moment. I’ve still got his head.

The white one I would have shot but the owners wife took a liking to it , the other one I sat and watched for five or six minutes , from no more than thirty yds while I was sitting on a quad bike with the engine running ..this was his first year as one of the master bucks on the estate , and this was his rutting stand ..the following year he was the number one buck on the estate a position he held the year after as well .. I ended up shooting the white buck four years later on a different farm after it was involved in

They say, 'Hi, we're hookers! Do you want to have some fun?' That's obscene!' the priest exclaimed, Then he thought for a moment. 'You know,' he said, 'I may have a solution to your problem. I have two male talking parrots, Which I have taught to pray and read the Bible. Bring your two parrots over to my house, And we'll put them in the cage with Francis and Peter. My parrots can teach your parrots to praise an

It's mind blowing how folk think, With potential food shortages on the horizon and an insane population that no longer stockpiles food and an increase in food banks nationwide, I reckon people will be to distracted in years to come to worry about us, and the fact that we butcher millions of livestock a day I struggle to comprehend how running dogs get a mention. Off my soap box now? Atb

  25. Wilder's punch power has been 'elevated' because he's fought no-one with a top class chin. 90% of all his fights have been against, to use morton's favourite word, DROSS. Fury is 'probably' his best opponent, and we've all seen him dropped quite a few times, by four different fighters, so how can wilder's punch power be accurately assessed to be the hardest?

  26. Well I've put the word about had some offers of planned breedings from decent bitches but not really what I was after, then yesterday a mate phoned to tell me he had exactly what I was after and the bitch should be dropping them over xmas. So I'm much happier now.

  31. Tbh Max it's all about how effective that punch is. It's no good having all that power if you can't land it. Tbh to Wilder he has found the money shot more often than not but that has mostly been against poor opposition. Mike Tyson was technically one of the best HW's of all time.

  34. Yes I did have for a very short while the MTC Vioer Connect. Not great in my opinion, an expensive mount is needed if not included with the scope, mine was not. Very close eye relief which I found uncomfortable but a big issue with white out. To be honest not as good as I expected and if you are going to use an add on nv, they are rubbish and in fact are listed by MTC as not suitable with nv. Buy the Hawke every day of the weeek. Phil

  35. Here's another from my list of "Strange But True"; My late son was a very young diplomat at the British Consulate in Saudi Arabia. He was at a State Dinner, and was placed at the table between Bill Clinton and the Queen of Jordan. My son asked why he was in such a prominent and privileged position, and the British Ambassador looked at him, and said; " to keep Clintons wandering hands away from Queen Noor ! ". Cheers.

My logic is for walked up the birds are very often flying away from you or quartering or crossing but sometimes at a fair distance. They are only a small bird and don’t need 32 grams of 5s which some guys shoot . I can honestly say I didn’t once feel like I needed a heavier load , the kills were clean and at good ranges . I am a firm believer that it’s all in the pattern.

  39. That time of year again . My now annual pilgrimage to Cheshire for some fantastic woodcock shooting , great dog work , great company and this year a feast of toothsome treats supplied by my very good friend Steve who invites myself and fellow keeper Anthony for this special days sport . We traveled north from Gloucestershire on Sunday evening and stayed at a premier inn so that there was no rushing about and could have a chilled out breakfast and easy drive to the meet . Bloody hell !!! We were the only guests at the inn , the only ones having breakfast . This Covid is crippling th

I prefer a leather upper to gore-tex etc. When I replace then I’ll look for another well made, lightweight boot with a decent sole (Vibram usually a safe bet). Try a few pairs on before you buy, and wear the socks you’ll be walking in to make sure they fit right. Should be plenty deals about once the shops are allowed to open up again.
