  1. I popped out to the butchers this morning for a nice bit of Topside for tomorrows dinner - while I was there, I asked if they had any pig skin ( I've been fancying homemade crackling for days). It turns out that they don't do anything with it so, it all gets binned but, because I was shopping, they cut me some off and, didn't even charge me for it He asked 'Do you want the fat taken off?' .......... Hell no - that's the best bit. So, I got it home, cut it up and, deep fried it in olive oil - it was crispy on the outside and, soft and warm in the midd

  2. I've had two many years ago, 30+ years ago ! Jesus that makes me feel old. They were both wreckless to say the least, one I only had a hand full of digs over before I had to PTS, the other I parted company with because it was heading in the same direction. I was to young and stupid to own a dog of that nature, my experience didn't match the dogs drive and and nature. If I was honest, even now I wouldn't have a dog like that given to me, with all the experience I've had I couldn't watch a dog self destruct like those two did.

  5. Took dear old Dusty for her last walk today...? I was gifted this good-hearted pup, from a guy that in reality, I hardly knew. I traveled from my home in Hampshire to a Welsh Valley and collected her... She was a super friendly pup and fitted into our lifestyle, no problem. She served me well, for nine long years, we had some good times, caught vanloads of game and enjoyed plenty of laughs,... I am sad to say goodbye ... Alas, the Big C has no mercy and seems to enjoy inflicting horrendous pain.? I feel privileged to deny this heartless monster it's perverse en

  6. Me, my brother and the old man have been itching to get on some new permission we've managed to grab. We've got a young brindle deer hound, greyhound x collie grey hound who was yet to catch. And our bull grey hound x collie grey hound bitch. After seeing the old bitch catch on her first run that fired up the young dog and he broke his duck. 2 in 2 runs and retrieved straight back. Cracking little walk out and to say the old man was chuffed is an understatement.

  9. ive done bit of beating in my time, prob only me at that time kept/worked lurchers , and the other beaters were either had gundogs them selves or there were riflemen . now any lamping was always given to the riflemen 1st, gundog blokes, 2nd and me 3rd , now this is me doing 4-5 seasons on the bounce, it never changed with the keeper and it was very similar that other shoots i did beating at not just this keeper .The bottom line is this lurchers are not liked on any ground, yes you get the odd keeper give you the odd night lamping, but like above most stuff been shot to fook by then, it been

I was with the mrs on holiday once and we were walking along the cliffs and some runners came along and I said look at the daft fookers killing them selves but really I was jealous as I hung off the gate with me 10 chins and more spare tyres than dunlop. So i started running well crawling. Couldn't run for 3 minutes solid to start but two years later ran 50 miles. Ran for few years cycled to work for a couple and now on weights coming upto 50. Torn a groin muscle which is hold me back called a sport hernia which is a pain. Tell you what a healthy diet fooks the old gut lol. I used to be able

  15. Ooth and sweeping The chicken ranch was having the odd bird lying around with its head missing so I strolled up there to take a look. I scanned as I went and then out of nowhere there it was, 30yds the other side of the wire (chicken side) watching me stroll by! In a smooth and fluent manner I brought the rifle to bare without stopping. No cold winter nights for that vixen! U.

  16. ...means alot to me but it helps if I get out first ? A quick scuttle about at first light and I was shooting at crows and Jackie's. Missed most! Then Jess worked a squirrel and between us got it to pose for a picture. On the way home two pheasants left a hedge bottom. The first was a not so good opportunity but the second was so I shot. It was a going away shot at 50yds! I guess full choke is handy sometimes. The gun was not ejecting to well and on inspection I had surface rust in the chamber! Shame on me! When I got home I fitted a mop and wire

  21. , you should try chicken hearts if you like a bit of cheap ofal , they are absolutely lovely and cost a couple of penny,s for a kilo, younger people don't see a link between meat and animals just things in cling film or packets are food, not skin, tongues and internal organs, everything tastes better when it's free or cheap and you make it yourself, enjoy your pork scratching,s???

  23. That's another option but in my mind you really don't know what your kenneling then as your dogs are not being tested. People can say what they like and it doesn't bother me who they are but if your digging Quarry and pts all the time then you dont know what you have. I have seen so called good seasoned terriers from over the water come away with their tail between their legs once entered on quarry that knows the score soon sorts the men from the boys so to speak.

Realising he would have time to get to me before we left I invited him out for an afternoon session. Forty five minutes later he was here and another forty five minutes later after coffee we met my pal over the ground . Cunning plan agreed we set of , my mate worked the top ground to get into a seat we’re we have been fairly consistent most of the early part of the season and we would have a look on t

I have never put any man in an awkward place and also would not ask any man to enter a terrier where I wouldn't enter one of my own.I have also seen that sort of shit done only for the smerk to be wiped from their mugs.what I meant was I've had lads here blowing smoke up their dogs arses saying their this that and the other only to be made look like fools in relatively easy places.foxdropper as you we'll know their is a big difference in green grass and grass that's been grazed.

Once the carb cravings had gone it was great plenty of energy wile building muscle, i could go an on its all scientific stuff. Its not for everyone, but if you want to loose weight fast, its a

  31. If you cut out the carbs alltogether your body goes into a state of ketosis, in this state you will experience low energy, but if you keep going an get past this you body will adjust an you should be flying then. Remember this is used to lose weight fast an effeciently, once your bodies in ketosis its using up the fat storage as fuel cause less carbs. If you mix it up with a little carbs like vegtables this will take the edge of ketosis mate.

  32. its a very intresting subject francie.....its the way most average humans should look to loose weight....those complex carbs and sugars should be the first thing out of a diet for your average human ..or at least cut them right back....but of course it still comes down to a simple formular of calories in against calories out.... however for most athaleats I think some complex carbs...some fiberouse carbs and some sugars...mainly fructose are vital....but that doesn't mean you cant keep them low if nessasery .......interestingly though..i think its the brain that only functions on carbs...

  42. One of the issues the guild raised with the Putange trap was it didn’t allow for seasonal/size variation of moles quite the opposite the Putange is the only trap that can be set to trigger at variable sizes You secure the trigger to stop it being lost they also took issue with that fact you have to stake the trap to stop it being dragged away not so it’s staked so the mole can push against the trigger and not push the trap away from itself
