A young Arab boy asks his father “What is that strange hat you are wearing?” The father said: "Why, my son, it is a 'chechia.' In the desert it protects our heads from the intense heat of the sun.” "And what is the long flowing robe you are wearing?” asked the boy. “Oh, my son!” exclaimed the father “It is very simple. This is a 'djbellah.' As I have told you, in the desert it is not only very hot, but the sand is always blowing. My djbellah protects the entire body." The son then asked: "But Father, what about those ugly shoes you have on your feet?” "These are 'babouches' my s9 points

See, where some of these immigrants come from that and many other things we would find abhorrent would be considered part of every day survival. I don't want the majority of immigrants allowed into this country, but I can't fault them for coming here and trying every wee trick in the book to get what they want, they don't know any different, it's what they do. The problem lies with whoever is orchestrating this shit fest and forcing different cultures which realistically are a good hundred years apart to come together in too short a time and without any fecking thought and considerat7 points

Funny in 2018 when i happen to switch on to that c**t Jeremy kyle i get the same perception of english folk. Also bit ironic with that statement when you listen to the pundits during an English game. And im prob one of the few scots who want the England team to do well but by f**k its hard to ignore the pish spouted.7 points

So sorry to hear this sad news... Alan was a superb net maker and enjoyed the old style ways of harvesting game...He also liked hunting with a dog and during the late 1980s, he contacted me for a lurcher pup. He came down to my place in Hampshire and I let him have a nice strong Red Merle dog, from my Australian Cattle Dog lurcher x Collie /Greyhound litter...and like anyone else, back in the day, he quite rightly asked to see the Dam of his new pup working. We had a quick shine with my Speckle and Alan saw,... what he needed to see... He was a nice genuine countryman...?7 points

Looking forward to this on bbc2 tonight, it’s about time we had a fishing program on normal telly, two of the funniest men on the box, one a life long angler and the other one Bob Mortimer the best thing to come out of Middlesbrough apart from the A66, I hope it brings back some good memories of watching John Wilson and a passion for angling with my dear old dad when I was much younger ?6 points

I was sadly told last night whilst out rabbit shooting and will sadly miss Allan. I only spoke to him two weeks ago when he told me and apologised for not being able to mend my rabbit chewed long nets, which he had done beautifully for many years...and charged me only pennies. I did mange to take some film of him at the Midland GF I think two years ago on the long netting stand, mending nets like the craftsman he was and then how he shot out his nets. One day if i get time i will put this on another DVD , as the knowledge he had is differecult to find nowadays. RIP6 points

Hi Kerny No they're not from a book and all of the photos are my own. Apart from one, they all either came here as puppies, or were bred here. All were laid to rest here. Kindest Regards - Barrie PS. And before Dilly says it.... NO I CAN'T FIT IN THOSE PANTS ANY MORE !!!!5 points

Heartbreaking and difficult reading that.....it appears firefighters went above and beyond to rescue residents BUT what I find particularly distasteful, were those who 'claimed' that their relatives perished when they didn't exist........disgusting.....5 points

I just wish some of the limp wristed bstards in this country who are outraged by this had gotten a bit more outraged by the systematic abuse and rape of our own children. What is it with these lefties, they really do hate their own kind.4 points

thank you that's her now, the depth of breeding in our modern coursing dogs today is fantastic, and the physical quality of the faster lines is such, that I believe there a better dog to cross with a base breed to produce a lurcher than ever a greyhound was. just mhop.4 points

I think we have gotten a really bad habit in the UK and that is somebody always has to be to blame. We don’t just have tragic accidents anymore, we have to find a scapegoat. I personally think that is just one massive pile of wank, and what’s more it costs everyone a fortune because everything you do as a business has to be an arse covering excercise (with all the related cost passed on!) With Grenfell I believe the fire started in someones kitchen and they just bailed out and left it, that dude probably got roasted so now we have to blame the builder and the firefighter instea4 points

This permission`s rabbit numbers are now well under control. Just single rabbits are the normal nowadays . On the approach into the permission a single rabbit was nibbling away so I slowly stopped my van, got out, loaded up and took a rest as best I could, against the back of the van, range 53 yds lased. I had to shoot under that overhanging tree. You can just make out the white of the rabbit`s underside, centre of the disused lane, upper left to the blue water barrel. Here`s the camera view on full mag`. Lased to3 points

He certainly threw his stamp and if you look at Mick 16 years on he was almost his stunt double. I remember a certain person, to some a big name (I won't name and shame) using him on a very none descript bitch.... and then a few years later advertising his pups as being "The finest strain of line bred fell terriers in the country". It takes all sorts LOL3 points

Lying in front of the compound?! They're locked up in detention cages, mate. Here's an article from the L.A. Times which contains a 60-second video clip of the facility. The Monitor has another article on it, with a couple of photos of the facility. They are saying there are around 200 kids in there at the minute with a high of around 1200 last week. The Associated Press has an article on it. They're saying that kids are lying on mats on the floor with around 20 per cage. NPR breaks down the detainment process and reports that 2000 children have been separated from th3 points

I can hear about atrocities and think, shit that's bad and have sympathy, but, that's it. If it doesn't affect me or my family, I move on and forget. All this outpouring of grief from people who didn't know people seems to be the norm now. I used to hear the term professional mourner bandied about, seems it's making a comeback.3 points

Agreed mate they need to keep the intensity up, and obviously covert the chances when they come. Sterling misses too many sitters, he seems to panic on tap ins but can score a screamer.. personnlay I would’ve had Rashford on earlier and had Ali off earlier. this ain’t the best team in the tournament (not sure who is yet ... Ronaldo probably lol).. but they’re far from the worst, quarter finals will be a good run for this young team,.. no super stars (yet), not too much pressure, Southgate seems calm and composed, I like the system, I like that they keep trying to play, I like th2 points
