You are right there Trigger... With some dogs it is a few second's glance,..a quick, tip ya the wink kinda thing,..and you need to really know your dog to catch it... Whereas with others, it is far more obvious... I once had a canny cur that marked so strongly that she had to be physically dragged off a Warren before she would leave it... As we did this she always seemed to give us a bewildered and frustrated look of, 'Ya C**ts, there is a rabbit here, for feck's sake get the ferret in"

That’s my type of ground for a good days walk out. Dog looks strong and Looks a perfect cross for those hills. Going to start doing a lot more of it and when I get more time I will head out with overnight kit and make a couple of days of it. You cant beat a solid mark. Either to ground or in cover.

I hear that. I don't have a mobile and I don't always take a camera out when I'm walking the dogs. Even when I do take the camera I'm usually too preoccupied to sit behind a viewfinder for every step of the journey. I actually like to take it in the traditional way! Nice one. I used to fly fish for pike a lot from my kayak and boat but as there are few places here that I can fly fish for the perch and pike, I went back to lure fishing. Mate I,m in my 50,s have a £9.99 pay as you go phone, carry a camera to take photos and have absolutely no interest in owning an I phone or simular, I,m pretty normal in my age group and know several older people who can only be contacted by knocking on there door, regardless of the price of the phones you can't force people that have managed most of there life without one to change there ways, we don't have to take a picture everytime we eat or shit to prove its happened, we are capable of making our own minds up without a picture of everything, maybe if you took the phone away from your face

The likes of that video is a lot of what's wrong with fieldsports nowadays. By calling that sport it makes people think that's what sport is. Nowadays lads think infra-red, night vision, electric calls, high powered lamps and scopes and high powered automatic weapons is how you go out in the countryside and use your wits to beat your quarry's wits. One or two things to remember here, a clouded leopard is quite a small cat and would fit in a fox trap, after seeing the mess made in Wales over the escaped Lynx would you want local council involved, ? Nope, I walked through a hedge yesterday and beside me were two Hinds who just sat there looking at me. The farmer would have thanked me for taking them out. But why ? What would I have done ? Killed a freezer load of venison just for the hell of it ? That is not why I go hunting .

Rob, as far as I know deer were proven not to be spreading TB here in Ireland last year or the year before. Personally I also think the Badger is a scapegoat too. There's a lot of vets making a pretty penny from testing who otherwise would be quiet. The Irish governments method of culling ,snaring, is wrong too. Nothing wrong with snaring as I use them myself for vermin but now they ask the farmers to check them and at this time of the year when a farmer's rarely on the land I know of Badgers lying in snares for a couple of days. Personally I love Badgers and I hope the vaccination p

Its definitely not the silver bullet. The highest rates of tb are also in the area with highest deer populations. It'll be nice to know theyve stopped culling them as some areas are untouched whilst others are nearly depleted of them.
