Cheers pal. Iv got an opportunity to go and spend some time with a good butcher now......so I will have a play at it for a while. My sticking point is always going to be finding a premises that tick all the boxes. But I'm looking forward to a few years just learning about butchery with the aim of just enjoying it as a hobby......then who knows ?4 points

Seen bayers knocked up by them ..But when you are doing terriers for an old otter pack they are there to be got rid of, The damage they do to crops and banks of dykes and rivers they had to go...Like saying ferreting is cruel a pest is a pest...Trapping and hounds was the way back then4 points

Each to their own but personally I think the book is of very high quality, the images are of a superior quality to volume one,the action shots are superb..pics like that are not just a given when your out EVERYTHING has to be just right even down to the weather as it affects the light which in turn affects the exposure of the photographs so believe me for every good shot there will be hundreds that just don't cut the mustard, the tens of thousands of miles travelled, ferry journeys, the walking, climbing of mountains,it ain't easy & lugging a camera with a huge lens on don't make things any eas4 points

One near here does well. Family business with their own on site abattoir, so people from the villages prefer to use them because they know the lamb, beef and most of the pork is locally grown. They are also close enough to the motorway that the people from the nearby culturally enriched urban centres come to buy from the continental department of the butchers. They also run some fridge vans doing home deliveries and catering supplies. Their staff are excellent and must be well looked after to do the long hours and good customer service. There was also a one man butchers 3 villages away un4 points

Dave Courtney is an embarrassment ? Remember some thing he was on called "London gangsters" with Tony lambrianou ??? couldlnt bring myself to watch he's film Full English breakfast ?4 points

You are of course right however I can not bring myself to hand over a young pup to just any old person off the street I’m afraid. The hunting world is quite small really and through six degrees of separation I’m sure even the most anti social hermit in the UK could find a way to connect with myself if they are genuine and keen. I have to do some due diligence or I wouldn’t sleep at night.4 points

Seeing fox tracks in the snow the other morning was to much! So last night I found it. It's been hanging around for carrion that occasionally ends up the other side of my back hedge! So after getting busted last night I fed her a cooked chicken carcass and then tonight, all wrapped up, waited. It was just after 7 when she turned up. I knew she would wind me but I gambled on her looking back which she did. The thirty yard shot crossed her ribs and she folded up at 80yards. In prime condition and coming into season. U.3 points

Very open some of them broads you could walk into a field with cattle grazing and we know what cattle are like with dogs let alone a pack of hounds ..When they ran towards the hounds drawing along a bank the whole field moved ..Terriers have got to have no fear of water and there were small trenches covered in rough grass and the coypu loved them some were a fair old length muddy and maybe up to the neck of a terrier in water but if bred right the terriers would run them and take hold..The things would walk on the bed of dykes etc strange animals but it was a break from the hunt work and ke3 points

What about starting with a market stall i buy most of my meat off one. He is a farmer and his beef is his own Dexter and Devon's proper beef. I think a lot of people would like to know what breed it is and where it came from, instead of all the cross up tasteless stuff you get in the supper markets. But you could start slowly with a stall and not give up your other job in one hit. Atb. Cheers Arry3 points

Looks like they're second generation or linebred wolfhound x grey if those are the parents? If you're wanting to use it on coyote I'd imagine the biggest boldest dog pup would be your best bet unless there's a bitch that really stands out to you. Keep us updated if you end up getting one would be good to see how it turns out3 points

Fair play to the lad for producing books like this which in time imho will become historical accounts of a bygone age surely they carnt be much profit in books like this in this day and age with such a limted audience.2 points

Ah the Christmas single, A good little earner if successful. Dragged out every year just like the decorations. I wonder if the royalties would be going to Mbongo or the Sally army or her pocket then to her lawyers to evict the Tennant's of her residence,2 points
