Few hours up the fields this morning at the make shift hide. No real specific targets but missed far to many birds at 40 yards... No idea why. Aim points are on. Walked back through a few wooded areas and dropped a few greys. Hopefully Ill get in the paper Could of had a rabbit, but missed him too. Damn it. My son and I were up early this morning so after a visit to the barber's we went for a stroll up the farm. Liam has been out with me shooting rabbits but this morning was his first on the pheasants. He did well flushing them for me and we both really enjoyed our stroll in the rain.

I can imagine some are! I feel like I'm getting better at navigating it. I do miss a couple of the old functions but it's not like any of us are conscripts. It's been free to use since I joined in '04 so I'm in no position to complain how the site owner chooses to run his gaff. If anyone doesn't like it they're free to leave.

I like this time of year for hunting - there's less leaves on the trees and, the grass and stinging nettles die back a bit. I seem to do best on the rabbits when the nights are cold and a little misty. Summer is good but, Autumn/Winter is my favourite time to be out

finished work early yesterday,so shot down to the elevator and shovelled up 8 x 100lb bags of soya beans.ripped down to one farmers yard (got to keep em sweet) and dropped off 2 bags for him. ripped to my mates and grabbed my 2 cams.dumped 4bags with him. so got across fields,the bait had been nailed by my initial thoughts.game trails everywhere. swapped my mates cam out for mine and stuck another cam 50 yards back from these pics considering atleast moose got plugged two weeks ago there seems to be no shortage of them here.couple of different buck whitetails are

I can only speak personally but I really enjoy reading, debating, sometimes arguing with other lads on here. It has reinforced my opinions about some things and made me think again on others. ill be honest and say I find most of the hunting stuff boring as f**k, especially the dog section save for the odd good topic......but the general section has been a window into other ways of thinking about things. Shame some lads think they have to checkout but I get it, this is pretty shite compared to the last lay out for what I find the best about this site.
