  1. No rumour DC, the bitch in the lads hands was from a dog rescue center, without her there wouldn't be any of the others in the other pictures. If I could get another that worked like her I'd have the kennels on speed dial

  3. I had a border Russell from the dogs home many years ago when digging was still legal, sadly died of cancer aged 9 but the most sensible level headed dog I,ve ever owned, she would stay down for hours, bay but never engage and you could call her out if the dig was a no go, she was also very true and if she went in 9 out of 10 times something was home, also got the best lurcher I,ve owned from the dogs home, I think it's more to do with the time I had to put in to the dogs than the breeding of them, I was out 5/7 days a week never worked and the dogs were with me everywhere I went, they even spe

  7. the two scoops of kibble and tin of dog meat is a give away, no brand mentioned for the kibble so I will assume its a cheap one so no real nutrition for a working dog sae with the tinned meat 60% water rest generally rubbish, its a diet problem mate, you got a working dog on a diet that's not likely fit for a pet dog , maybe try grain free kibble or raw feeding

  12. My guns never liked H&N pellets , Rabbit magnums are to heavy for sub 12 IMO . JSB Heavies 10.3 gr pellet are very good in most guns What ever is the most accurate for your gun . I put up a post a few years ago about heavy / light pellets ,well worth a read http://www.airgunforum.co.uk/community/index.php?threads/massive-177-jsb-pellet-velocity-test-0-50-metres.174275/ In my HW100k I use AA express 7.9gr Both will do the same as long as you know your set up ie , Gun , Scope , Pellet and more important exactly what you are capable of

  19. As you know I'm more of a medical necessity kind of person as opposed based purely on tradition. This case is one of many and highlights the dangers of such practice, and isn't exactly rare in that community. Even the ritual itself is questionable. Like with a lot of these things I think they should be left until the child is old enough to make the informed decision for themselves unless there is a medical issue that requires earlier intervention.

  21. Hi all thought take time to do a quick post took dog out other night first slip with him he followed it up for two large fields (bugger for using his bloody nose) didn't return, found him in the middle of the road stone dead, Range Rover hit him, gutted to say the least he was a good dog building himself a great reputation for catch rate and for just being an all round good hunting dog, I'll re-load and fire again, luckily some of you might remember 12 months ago I bred a litter of pups and due to circumstances I had gift away the bitch I had kept back, thankfully a man I had never met before

  23. Hello, I'm new on here... Well I'm new to everything to do with hunting! I got my first lurcher 18 months ago and he got his first outing on the lamp last night with a very experienced mate. Had I trained him well? Would he catch and run off into the night? Would he embarrass me? There had been a good, steady wind all day but, as has been the case alot recently it dropped after dark. We went out anyway as there was still some wind and the moon is waxing. Rabbits were thin on the ground and sitting close in so we moved on to a different bit of land... Same story! Tried one slip but the la

  27. The Vulcan works fine, but it’s snappy to shoot. I have a few shots with it now and again for nostalgia, then put it away again for a long rest...I still remember the first rabbit that I shot with it. My friend stealthily creeped up on it,battling through brambles and undergrowth with a fourten shotgun. Just as he was getting into position for a shot, I shot it with the Vulcan from the same spot that he’d left me in to creep up on it.

  28. JSB Heavys 177 my hw100 loves them but i did a test shoot on some potatoes at 30yrd and the pellet was going strait through them then i went over to 22 and using jsb exact jumbos 15,89 and they were blowing them apart at 30yrds rain stopped play so i could not test them out at a greater distance . But iv put plenty of pray on the table with the heavys mind 22 go for it all ways good to shoot both that way you learn how both shoot and its all ways handy to have a back up rifle in case one fecks up atvbmac

  29. Should be done when the boy is of age to decide for himself not the religious beliefs of there parents. It's his body and has to live with it. Different if it needs done for medical reasons then the onus is on the parents. A lot bang on about rights etc.well the kid should have the same right And if he does decide he wants it he can get it done professionally and his church can pay for it
