I love deep, deep snow. When nature says quiten down mankind. I command you to turn off your engines. You are not going anywhere. Just submit. Appreciate the new beauty, slow down and hear the hush of the countryside. Time to think. What's all this rushing about actually for? We scurry about like neurotic ants only to end up where we started. Feed the birds, they are really suffering. Get the dog out to play crazy games of tig, they know how to live now, to enjoy the moment. Then hole up in the house, get yourself a toddy and actually talk to your family. I love deep snow...nature'7 points

Good idea fellah Dogs can lose condition in this cold weather,..more so if they are kenneled in an unthinking manner.... I've seen more than a few large, spacious "Cathedral sized", volumanous sleeping blocks, that seem more akin to high security prisons, than kennels... Facts are, the best 'boxes' for keeping the working dogs nice and warm, are frequently small... All a dog really needs in this cold weather, is to be able to crawl in and lose himself, in snug amounts of dry bedding.... I remember visiting a noted breeder/trainer of 'Bird Dogs' in the Highlands of Sc7 points

My misus said to me why don't you treat me like you did when we first met. To be honest, I felt really guilty. So I took her out to watch a movie, went for a meal and a couple drinks afterwards and dropped her off at her mums house.5 points

I figured it was lambtons, old George Wilson wouldn’t have had that fox there.I remember getting 20 pheasant there in a couple of hours with my Wembley Vulcan one night as a kid,and doing my works experience in the lion park (after it closed, but they hadn’t got rid of all the animals). been feeding the birds in the snow, didn’t see one turkey then going home saw 6 feeding right on the roadside half a mile from home.3 points

Minus two and thick fog at the moment, just going to load the dogs up and get up on the Cotswolds for a wander, often snows up there when all around gets none plus the fog brings out the beast good time to find a fresh kill mmmmm3 points

At a guess a small lamb would be at the biggest end of its range, I have a book at home somewhere called a highland year by lee mcnally I think he was a gamekeeper and hunted them with his terriers, worth a read if your interested mate funny enough we had a dna result back a while ago from a roadkill in Scotland and it was what they call a Kellas cat which is a black highbred of wild cat and domestic, but the body was bigger than both parents and could probably of taken a small deer3 points

So you take pleasure in other people's misfortune ? It's not just the little fence (few quid from B&Q) but also the paving slab that will need to replaced. But mostly the ignorance and could not give a f**k mind set that people have these days, and that is the problem, I will find out who is responsible and then I will no doubt end up in trouble.2 points
