I mentioned a while back on here that we have become friends with a couple of guests from liverpool, they have cooked for us when they have stayed here and we met up with them last time we were in Liverpool and had a great afternoon/night... I promised them next time they were down id sort a beach day...well we did it today and it was bloody hard work but they loved it... took him out on the jet ski abd caught bass, set up bbqs on the beach and a full beach set up, he is a bbq chef and brought a massive lump of steak plus his special rub! Was lovely.. I filleted and scaled a few bass, a b31 points

Honestly it really depends where your at. Here in the US you have 100's if not 1000's of hunting and fishing sub cultures and they all view stuff different. But as a general carp are still viewed for the most part as rough or trash fish. Doing much more to catch one past threading some corn on a hook is really seen as pure lunacy to many and the carp themselves are usually views as nothing more then just some "shit eater". Most won't touch them because they've been told their whole lives that their too boney to eat , they ruin the water ect, and it's just easier to not question. I've asked p5 points

Give up on the sections last night because I was rushing and it wasn’t going well, fresh start this morning and it looks like my mate was using a malfunctioning tape measure, I’ve had to cut 3 of them and there was only 6 to go in, then I had to make brackets as he hadn’t thought where the clamps would go, never mind, stav will sort it whilst you play in your digger4 points

no one's interested mate...Boris,Sunak and that silly Bint that only lasted a few weeks in power...Only in the job to line the pockets and bank accounts of their rich little school pals...sat about laughing at all the sheep complying and crashing the economy ? no one will be held responsible for it...the media will find something else to take people's minds away from sussing the truth ?4 points

Spot on post i was in the same boat both me and the wife never had a day off all way through it me in a logistics warehouse and her in a mental health care unit and what i did witness was the worst in some neighbours and people in general. I feel embarrassed now to think i was took in by all the government and other authorities shite especially being a veteran of the 84/85 miners strike when misinformation was peddled by the government and main stream media.4 points

So we've been tied up most of the day. Got a fleet boat to help us re arrange tow so where sitting 4 wide four long now and where just creeping on down the river One of the anchors bargers we where tied up so had a bunch of bird life having around it. Swallows....well what I think are swallow I'm pretty sure where nested under the rake and inside of it there where a bunch of old stacked up damaged lids for the dry cargo barges and a flock of pigeons made it their little roost. Honestly I have to say it's pretty amazing how critters adapted and nature it's self has made little4 points

Busy old day, sand starting to come in, no panic now because we’ve just been told we can’t have the rubber for 4 weeks, repaired the guttering on the shed where the stables are being built, burnt all the crap and started to install the concrete sections that didn’t turn up until half 34 points

Bored alot , take alot of pics so idk . People said they wanted updates so. So last night was the first time this trip we had to wait on a lock. Had a pretty decent line in front of us so when just tied up on a piling and waited around Lotta wildlife seems to congregate around these locks I noticed. Lots of deer and various birds on the banks. Some Canadian geese over here Load of fish too.Been seeing a lot of trophy size common carp schooling on the surface last two locks we went though. Alot looked to be easily 30lbs and some real monsters too ! Whis I could have t3 points

This time of yr,I only take the odd rabbit with wires or the odd duck/squirrel/wood pigeon with a catty , purely for fresh ferret food(freezers always full with what we catch through the season and the raw for the dogs anyway)..I leave any cubs alone these days unless asked to deal with them..I know loads of lads who don't stop? spend all summer killing anything half grown? ...I used to be that ruthless...that's not for me now...I like to spend the summer evenings fishing up the river or down the coast, and take a dog and a kid or 2...find that stops the Mrs moaning to much in the season then?3 points

Update: received a call today from my FAO scheduling a inspection of the cabinet next week. So overall it’s took 343 days from handing my application in to having the inspection. just a little update to anyone looking for a timescale on how long it may take to process your application with Northumbria police.3 points

This has been the case for ever, yet every time there is an incident FAC holders risk tighter control, it makes no sense, other than the fact we are an easy touch. The Police should focus their activities on ILLEGALLLY held gun crime (estimated to be between 98-99% of gun crime) rather than clobber us every time. Jo public doesn't seem to get it either, all they ever do is bay for tighter Gun Control (usually spurred on by the media), someone needs to tell them it isn't us!!!!3 points

I am at a caravan park in camber right on the beach and it’s crawling with rabbits. The fields around it I have been walking the dogs in also, not great rabbit land either it’s to flat so will get wet in the winter but plenty there despite loads of people. I say that because if the virus is a easily spread as I hear then the volume of people from all over the country means it must be about here ( I think it’s very widespread now anyway). This suggests to me that over hunting is as big a problem as the virus, another place I know (woodland England land) is literally overrun but the estate it ba3 points

The real scandal is how debate was completely shut down, there was no cost benefit analysis and the media for the main were awful at providing a balanced view especially the BBC. The government actually used a nudge unit to discredit and remove anyone going against the narrative. Had anyone done any decent research every lockdown bar the first one would have been seen to be unnecessary (that was to but at the time that perhaps wasn’t clear). I lost friends and argued with family that the whole thing was bollocks but feel completely vindicated now. The damage done has been immeasurable both to3 points

Danielcain: My experience of the taste of Rainbow Trout seems to depend on where they were caught and where in the reservoir they feed. Back in the days of fishing the ledgered worm it seemed that trout caught on the bottom tasted different more muddy to those caught on fly higher up the water. Take what you want from my comments. Otheres may find things different.2 points

there as always been summer hunting, but it's far worse now. infra red, thermal imaging call it what you want, they don't have a chance. they all shout pest control but it's far from sporting. if that's hunting I would rather be skinny dipping with fxxking barrymoor (again).2 points

Let’s start with this, I’m absolutely over the moon…..getting to watch that with my boy is something I’d never thought I’d do. Now, let’s put away the fans head and be brutally honest: We were f***ing terrible against a proper team, just like we have been f***ing terrible against proper teams all season. We sat in that poxy low block and they kicked the shit out of us, when Zouma went off we were all over the place. Thats the coach does that !…..and the clue is in the fact that it’s the first thing the bloke has ever won, ever !!!……and he was in charge of the biggest club2 points

I really believe that. Politicians should be co_opted. Otherwise narcissists and egomaniacs become our leaders. And its getting worse. Trump and Johnson would never have got anywhere 50 years ago. Now you can tell lie after lie, have the sexual morals of dog ferret and still be voted in. Somebody said you get the politicians you deserve...but Christ almighty we don't deserve people of that calibre.2 points

Your talking to the bloke that had the only nesting bramblings in the uk in his back yard as well not just one but two or three pairs also probably never recorded before, bit of a pattern emerging, nice one on your cuckoo knowledge mate you’ve obviously spent a fair bit of time studying them I,m always around water so I guess most of what I,m seeing is based around there relationship with the warbler family, really interesting bird been good to see and here quite a few around me this year2 points

Don't doubt that its going to happen again it was a very clever tactic. Keep 70% of the population in lockdown compliant by paying them 80% or full wage and the other 30% have to keep the wheels turning but cant be non compliant because everything is shut down so have no option. You imagine them saying to the local pubs, shops, small business now with the current climate of high fuel, utility bills, produce costs etc where most are considering jacking anyway, were going into lockdown and are going to pay you 80% of your income again for six months, the shutters would be down before you could b2 points

I'm not against airgunners but once the warm weather comes there out in Force all over the country on the rabbits I'd of thought they'd be more on with rats greys pigeons n crows etc, problem is alot of people don't let rabbits build up over time n once they start seeing a few there on them they can't recover well enough..2 points
