Another good dodge if you left a few carcass by the verge is 2 set up cones and temporary traffic lights then proceed 2 resurface the section o Road where it is no one will ever question u then9 points

I'm an oldie, so I no longer want (or need) to freelance,...but, in the past, I have experienced hassle from a few misguided fellows, who vigorously offered,.. to either take my dogs from me, or shoot them....? This type of behaviour is completely unacceptable.... Over the years I have noticed, that the penalties for having a walk out, have slowly but surely been getting far harsher. I've always paid my dues and somehow, found the vonga, to pay my fines, and of course, I have been handed out several thrashings....mostly well deserved..? But,.. I always believed that such e9 points

A mate lost chickens last week, ten being killed with two taken. He wired a spot just near his coop and had a dog fox two nights later. He thought he’d seen another along his boundary fence same night. It only took a few minutes to get this vixen close enough for the .17HMR8 points

I changed the call to pheasant distress and cracked on with that. It must of been thirty minutes later when i saw a fox through the hedge to our left mooching about in the horse paddock field. It kept having a stop and listen to the call interested but wary. I watched it for ten minutes then changed call to field mouse distress. It d to be very interested but something was holding it back. I think it was the same fox as we had seen earlier. I kept watching it through the hedge with the scope and laser switched on waiting for it to move into a gap where i could get a shot at it. I’d love to know how many folk do actually take bigger stuff home. Mind I don’t suppose half the stuff folk say they catch is actually caught. But I bet a lot of lads leave pretty much everything where it drops, possibly not by choice. But I think there is a growing percentage of dog lads who’ve grown up with the ban, so they’ve never actually taken anything home, never eaten their catch, or sold it, or even fed it to their dogs. They mostly seem to do what they do for tik tok so they can post shit videos with bad hip hop playing over them and refer to them selves as a ‘crew’.5 points

You may well decide it is a lot of hammer to crack a nut and you alone can make that decision. There are a lot of things to consider before switching to n/v. I know for you it is a hobby same as me, do you need to kill every fox that turns up on your patch? Or if a lamp shy slinky shows up will it gnaw at you till you get it or it moves on? Will a considerable financial outlay make you more efficient and make your hobby more enjoyable? How many switched on foxes do you have to deal with every year and does that number justify the outlay? Are you comfortable using that kind of technology o5 points

Spot on sadly pal .......My family had an animal feed business, made good money,70s to 2000 but once the steelworkers, miners etc died ,kids stopped keeping pigeons, lurchers etc ,you could see things were never going to be the same again......... I've had running dogs of some kind,40odd years, my son is out 2/3 nights per week with men my age 50/60 but when they go I think my lads age group will be the very last lot to work lurchers........at least I can go to my grave knowing I raised him without a PlayStation as we were too busy with the dogs , rugby and boxing ?........sad times we now live5 points

The days are numbered for the man that wants to match and compete to show his fine hound doing what it was bred for , but for me life will go on, catching for the pot as normal ,take what you need and leave the rest for another day, they can take your motor take your dogs and take your freedom but they can't take what you have , the right to live off the land, good luck lads and lasses for the tough times ahead ,ATB bobza4 points

Thank you. Brilliantly put. Especially the shaking bit ?. Hmm. Well there are many occasions I wait at dusk for one to pop out of cover. I see it working well then. I often feel anxious when I switch the guns light on for the shot wondering how many seconds have I got..... Sometimes I have to sit and wait up the chicken sheds for one to arrive. I often wonder if it will be better for that job. Others lamp around here and educate them. I do get regular slinky educated fox's and no its not really my fault! Sometimes, but not often. I am tempted to get with it so to spea4 points

It's all but over for average lurcher owners, sure there'll be the die hards that will carry on regardless but normal lads that made up the majority are getting out of the game for one reason or another and there's very little younguns coming into it and who could blame them, in my local area there would of been at least 10 lads that kept lurchers some also kept terriers but now it's me and a mate and what we have now will be our last. Times are changing and not for the better when you can get locked up for coursing a hare but walk free for having 4000 indecent pictures of kids.. The whol4 points

Actually Tony Blair isn't a well man. He had to have an areshole transplant, but the arsehole rejected him. Then a triple honesty by-pass operation was cancelled as it wouldn't have made any difference.3 points

So figured y'all might get a laugh out of this. Been on the hunt a scope with a little more power to it for testing reloads . My 3-9's are meh, I mean they work but kinda a pain. Well was trolling eBay and they had a nice refurbished mueller 8-32 ATP tactical on the bidding block. Well I have the 4.5-14 version on my .22lr and loved it for Plinking out past 150yd and for the bidding price I said why not. Was half price basically so dropped my bid and ended up winning ! Now see , Mueller makes kinda long target/ benchrest style scopes and I figured it would be a little on the lengthy sid3 points

I really like the P35 Jason, accurate and now a bit quieter now I tweeked the shroud mod and fitted a spare mod I had kicking around. The new Carm mags work a treat with 11 shots instead of 9 in the standard mag although quite often you can only get 8 in. Despite being very happy with the gun, I will be sending (or taking) it up your area to Mark Dempsey for a tune and replacement shroud / mod, not that it needs it but so many people have had the work done by Mark and raved about it that I simply want to have the same treatment for mine as this gun is a keeper. the old saying was ....."a year up and a year out" old greyhound saying....and i think theres a lot of truth in that which means in there first year they get there hight....and in the second year they get there muscle... i think smaller dogs ...like whippets are done in hight by 8 month...3 points

I've never had permission to course hares, even before the ban. Its allways been illegal for me, so no change. Will a magistrate put a 70 year old man who's dog run off and chased a big rabbit in jail ? I doubt it. Going team handed to course hares, hundreds of miles away is a different story. Stay lucky, lads ? Cheers.3 points
