Cheeky wee Friday off so had arranged to meet Joe and his dug Glen for 7ish this morning and first light. I had Jess and 4 ferrets and joe had 3 of his. Laid a fair few nets on the first bit between us and got 3 off it, Jess marked well and again held in the nets, still better than nothing. moved along a bit and dogs again marked spot on, took 6 off that bit between us with only 1 dog required. Glen as always is reliable and steady but was chuffed with Jess, marked and worked like she’s been at it for years. penny has well and truly dropped.17 points

Just an update on my first cross deer/grey, Nancy; Seven months old today, 27" and 62 lb; Coats coming in, and she's shaping up nicely. Still on course to give her a run around February. Cheers.14 points

This is my last deer/grey, Lima, at around the same age; She made 29" and 75 lb. This pup is stockier and heavier boned, but I think she'll make around the same size, maybe not quite as tall. I think she'll be fully grown by then, but obviously not fully matured. I'll make my own evaluation when the time comes if she's ready or not. If I thinks she's not, I'll give her more time. I'll not risk ruining a dog by being impatient ? Cheers.9 points

And there you have it……the level of utter nonsense the everyday bloke has been reduced too ! I listened to leader of the gang once at a school disco, should I now be associated with Gary Glitter ? f***ing hell, no wonder random spades are faking attacks on themselves……they know your latter day moron just loves to lap this spurious shit up and make 2+2 add to to 30 ! If anyone thinks the Queen has knowledge, condoned, assisted or any way was a party to the trafficking of young girls then they need to seek help because they are so far off the flat earth scale it’s just no8 points

Feeding again this morning and I was there for first light, it was a lovely still, cold morning, deathly quiet, just with the odd pheasant call to break the silence, after feeding I was heading back to the farm and I bumped into the ranger, now he’s a lovely lad but he does ask to many questions, he was asking about deer numbers in certain areas, so I did what any responsible keeper would do and sent him in completely the wrong direction to where I’ve been seeing them around our fields ??7 points

My first cross deerhound/greyhound bitch Nancy is six months old now, so measured and weighed her today. She's 26 " and 58lb; Progressing as expected. Recall is good, retrieve just so-so, but hopefully will improve. She's going to be a big strong bitch, will probably give her a run around the end of February , but no rush. Cheers.5 points

Takes a certain type of Lowlife to steal another mans dogs ..and then to attack someone when they ask for it back..why do the wider community not put a stop to it?stop the scum stopping there? you don't just drive on a site ,dump something and disappear in to thin air... someone there knows who done it....is it worth 15 yrs for attacking someone who's asking for their stolen gear back???Ive met a load over the yrs ...they not made or can't handle a stretch...don't wash or come out of their cells...no power without the numbers see...they take the easy way out, playing with some rope around the4 points

I’ll be totally honest, when I smoked I loved a cigarette……white China mug of strong tea with 3 sugars and John Player…..that was me in a nutshell. After a decent meal out with an expresso, perfect….loved it. But, I was younger and fitter and well able to take the piss out of myself. I knew the day would come when I just thought “that’s enough” and it did, you can’t get away with that shit forever. I wouldn’t thank you for a fag now and I don’t miss them. I use a small vape, not one of those f***ing walkie talkie type monstrosity’s that are like a fog machine, but that3 points

Netflix how to be a cowboy … good little watch of a real working ranch and a couple of youngsters learning to be bull riders. A little tongue in cheek as most of these programmes are but some serious spills and danger moments. Watch the bit when they think they’ve loaded up a runaway bull ? ……2 points

A bit of wind ain't a bad thing, it really helps dry them out. But yeah, keeping them out of it should be a big consideration, they'll be a lot more hospitable in the winter for it. Sun's nice but not having any won't harm them imo.2 points

Smoking isn’t good I used to smoke up until last year I’ve seen an had people I love die or be completely f****d due to smoking my mum being one of them heart attacks an stroke’s when you see shit like that it puts life in to prospective it makes you realise what’s important an what’s not. I couldn’t stand there dictating or preaching that no one should smoke but I think it’s up to them what they do tbh I do think a ban is a good move though it should of been done years ago but governments are greedy fecks that do well out of revenue via tax made through fags then they profit out your death it2 points

I just watched that. Honestly, typical bollocks with a shit ending. All modern British villain movies are the same at the moment - crap. McVicar is 100 times better.2 points

Right no laughing . I admit it; l'm a cheapskate. After the previous posts of amazing artisan lures l'm a bit embarrassed to post my recent efforts to make rubber lures on the cheap? Still, it'll possibly amuse or act as a warning to others who are too tight to do it properly. Having seen how many lures were lost or shredded on our last boat trip l determined to make a few and bought a litre of Plastisol and bit of Poundland glitter. Proper moulds are expensive so l used plaster of paris to make my own . I already had the PoP and some old plasticine in a drawer which2 points

Yeah, I sometimes cook up 'lights, lungs', etc when they are included in the Beef and Tripe mix, as these superfluous bits of offal can sometimes, go straight through a jukel,. but I would never feed cooked bones to a running dog.. Obviously,.. scores of family dogs get away with eating left over chop bones from the dinner plate,. but I would rather not risk that expensive trip to the Vets...Bones in any shape or form, can cause problems, but on the whole, the raw choice is frequently the safest method... However,.. its a personal choice so,.. 'each to their own'...? Stay safe ,2 points
