  1. Won’t it be wonderfully self satisfying if the whole system just keeps on stopping, and we can go back to basics, fire, water and food, while all the fat winging wankers sit and starve while complaining about the lack of deliveroo drivers ????

  2. The BBC have all the facts , they have had them for years , there is no way they will tell all for fear some of them will be found complicit and then have to face the court or their accusers …theirs nobody in the higher(or lower) echelons that will be up for doing a stretch at her majesty’s pleasure ….the whole truth will not be aired in a programme made by the BBC that’s for sure .. If the bbc wanted to make an entertaining programme about saville they could dig his body up and kick the bones round the streets …it’s a f*****g disgrace , these people have no shame ..

  4. This is happening across the manual labour market, everyone wants to work in IT no one wants dirty hands and a bad back, we have not invested in the next generation and as us old feckers leave our occupations there is no one taking our place the manual work market is propped up by old feckers, in the last year I,ve worked with with more people over 50 than under 30 s, not good for the future, this is a result of decades of not investing in our own but reliance on cheap foreign labour ?

  5. Not really, the entire country has been undermined by cheap imported labour, but even those imports start to realise there worth and the cost of living here so they are either channel hoppers taking money with them or they stay but need to earn more than a fiver an hour to live here, pay decent wages, train your own youth, invest in your self for a long term future,,,

  6. When hunting squirrels in woodland, I school the dogs to 'go round' and stand opposite to me... The Greys frequently try to hide behind the trunk of the tree, and they will often keep moving around, as you move...? The dogs looking up at them,..fool them, and then the bushy tails generally offer a nice easy target..? As for gundog based lurchers,.. I used to have some grand old times walking out with Thistle... She was a Whippet /Grey x Labrador and I saw her catch all manner of critters? Her retrieving was, as expected,..totally on point,..and she was a joy to hunt al

Sorry mate but it would also affect my rights to wander were ever I want so I don’t see it as good, we have enough laws just limp waisted management that won’t enforce them, police are as useless as the majority of society and would rather give out fines to mums who’s baby’s drop a sweet wrapper, than spend a day wet and cold rounding up unruly crusty,s, sorry but that’s my view on it ??

  8. At some point you have to question the coaching of a boxer who has been " built " like Joshua has......Joshua isnt a natural boxer thats clear,he has been manufactured into a strong, aggressive physical specimen who can get the job done when he go's after opponents. Joshua needed to use the physical attributes that got him there yet chose to stand off and throw single shots against a masterful boxer like Usyk.....Joshua is a devastating combination puncher with strength and speed, but lacks ring iq......yet he spent 12 rounds throwing single shots and never changing his plan when it clearly

  10. Went out tonight with just the pup, not the best conditions, warm still and ambient light from a nearby industrial estate but the rabbits obliged lol. First rabbit, jumped about 10 yards away, he never saw it ?, second one, good run and put 3 turns into and unlucky. Third one, a squatter, took it out the seat ? two laps of the field later and he dropped it at my feet, well crunched ? Fourth one, he ran it into the hedge and it popped back out and he had it, couple of small circles and he brought it back, almost to hand. ? Had a few more handy ones but he wasn't looking d

  13. On a more positive note though, what a fighter Usyk.....it was really enjoyable to see a heavyweight using pure boxing ability rather than size or strength to overcome an opponent.....the angles he gave, the speed of his feet...it really was a joy to watch......having watched it again on telly the next day,and on the subject of what a crap pundit Johnny Nelson is as someone touched on earlier in the thread ( which i totally agree with by the way ).....what an excellent pundit kid Eubank is i really enjoyed listening to him he spoke clearly and honestly.....he,ll be a good addition to that little

  14. Actually I have no problem with the story behind told, it should be and never forgotten, I just don't think it should be the BBC who tell the story, how can they when they were so complicit in what he was doing? It will no doubt be some dramatisation that just plays to the victims, leaving the BBC out of the picture for the most of it .

  15. Well the birds are here on the family patch ?. Settled In lovely very lively birds just how a like them. I've indoor flight cages in the house spare parla room kitted out. With auto dimmers in air con too it's a nice set up. Don't get me wrong it's nice to have birds out side but in this day an age there's too many dodgy t--ts about to be having your birds outside.

  18. I was out the other evening with my .17 hmr and I had just shot a rabbit in the head at about 110/120 yards I have a pic but it’s a bit OTT perfect shot I was happy, but whilst skinning and gutting it I got a sense I was being watched, behind me in the opposite direction was a fox just sitting there at about the same distance 110/120 I looked through the scope it would have been simple to stick one in his bib but I hesitated what if it runs off injured what I’m saying is if it just doesn’t feel right let it go and buy a CF.

  20. Have you bred litters yourself? I know there are always people on here giving their opinion on how much dogs should be sold for, but have never bred a litter and never intend to, but they still think they should dictate the price which of course they can to an extent because they are the market. That is if they are buying from peddlers who are producing dogs mainly to sell. If you came to me for a pup and said anything about price, the phone would go down, because a man whos first thought is money will never appreciate the breeding and hard work gone into proper breeding. Your question o

  21. Personally i would forget all about rimfires and foxes, the two should never be mentioned in the same sentence. I don't understand all this "you won't get c/f on first application". That is so wrong its untrue. If you have "good reason" to own a c/f and controlling fox is a good reason then they have to grant it, no ifs no buts. They may try to insist on a mentor but that isn't lawful either. It is up to you whether you take them to task over mentoring or not. My advice would be to gen up on the 1968 firearms act and amendments also the home office guidance on firearms because if you do y

An otter usually swims under the water with only his head above water. On certain occasions I have seen an otter float on top of the water exposing his back. When they float in this manner they are angry and will return to a terrier for another tussle. This little devil returned to the terrier and started up again.

  24. I dont think Joshua is scared to let his hands go i just think he is " over coached " ....he doesnt have the instinct to feel his way through fights and put the heat on when it feels right to and so he sticks to a script......the trouble is his script is written by a man who coaches amateur boxers and is based mostly around the basic technical aspects of boxing.....but it wasnt technical boxing basics that got Joshua to the world stage it was physical strength and nastiness. I just think they have got too far away from what got him to the top and like you say its too late in the day to le

  25. I think the .22 is the most versatile calibre out there , shot thousands of critters with it. One night I shot a hare in the head with the .17 HMR and couldn't understand how it was still sitting there , on closer inspection I couldn't believe it but the round had taken out both its eyes yet it was just sitting there full of life , I had to dispatch it by hand .

A long ear ear came calling says give me a veteran Says I cannot be stopped, says I've got the engine Then after the Sixth turn, I'm not what I thought, then the tempo picked up, twists, and turns ensued, a calculated reaction followed, the veteran worked with the approaching hedgerow never had it witnessed such a goalkeeper, and over the next half a minute the action that followed lit up the land, courtesy of the short coupled piece of perfection that never had to find her feet, she was born a natural ,

  31. That sounds like what I do these days, mooching with a flask of tea, rucksack and catapult. I must admit Im a bit soft these days and tend not to kill much with the catapult, unless I fancy putting something on the menu for myself. My dogs however are squirrel mad. The springer lurcher has caught more squirrels than the rest of the dogs I’ve had over the past 35 years put together....Christ knows what she’d be like if I started dropping them for her. It never stops amazing me how the squirrels can be totally safe from the dogs, but then you get the odd one that panics, runs down the trunk

This 6 foot black racer snake(nonpoisonous)wrapped around my leg so I killed him.Normally I wouldn't kill one of these as they eat smaller poisonous snakes. But when a 6 foot snake is wrapped around your leg it's hard to think clearly. Only found two sets but a coon bolted from one. A few clips of beaver behavior. When a beaver bolts into shallow water he will

While everyone is on here venting there feelings about a very dodgy subject, may I suggest if it affects you then send an email to the bbc explaining how you feel, I know it doesn’t achieve much but I do it just to let them no we are not all simple sheep that just follow, and some of us can see through there sickening behaviour, bluff and bullshit, I’m a grumpy old man so I do it regularly, my last one was over a local speeding campaign on bbc Gloucester, so I asked the police to explain why they can’t afford to attend a burglary or car theft, but have millions of resources and man power to pa

  36. Or maybe it's just all propaganda so the Tories can go back on their word to halt mass immigration? I mean it's only a matter of time before the shortages call for EU drivers to return.

  37. Yes but let's not pretend that Brexit hasn't had an impact in these short term shortages, again it comes to piss poor preparation. Anyhow I don't see why folk are complaining, the rough with the smooth and all that.

  38. Couldn't agree more. When the number of rabbits around by me dried up, I was gutted at first but, as the kelpies gradually shifted to wood pigeons and squirrels I'm actually finding it even more fun. We don't catch as many but the "near misses" and the trying are a joy to watch. I've always found that all my dogs seem to be more excited by squirrels than any other prey...though Scout found rats a close second.

  39. Nothing individually, but on a national scale it gets us into an unsustainable situation. Also you are automatically presuming that degrees and education leads to high paid jobs. Don't forget a few years ago there was a massive number of graduates without a job or working stacking shelves. I myself once lost a job doing quite a practical job to a graduate who would work full time for 18 grand a year when they were paying me to do it self employed previously. Perhaps it's a plan to get all British people into dept trying to be middle class or perhaps its just an unavoidable symptom of pro

Don't think you can seriously describe him as an establishment man. Ffs don't shoot the messenger here, he's playing the paedo. He's not in sympathy with Saville, he's examining. the way he fooled so many people for so long. My Mrs told me Saville was a creepy paedo in 1971. He was well known in Manchester clubland as a weirdo and fantasist. How come the establishment took him to their hearts? How was he knighted and spent lots of time with Thatcher?. Perha

I didn't vote in the referendum based on supply chains or labour shortage, If this is the price to pay to get out of Brussels grasp then it's small change, I dare say things will get worse but let's face it remainers forecast the end of the world just holding a referendum, still don't respect the will of the people and democracy, buckle up I'm confident we can pull through, there's nothing to say it's not politically driven as said I think fuel companies should be penalised for lack of investment.

I’ve also got a bed/whippet x collie/grey/whip.....small skinny looks the part.....she’s a lovely bitch but not a patch on my other and the amount of skin tears just from catching herself on old branches is scary. If you enjoy a daytime mooch and appreciate watching a dog happily working for fun then I’d say go for it. Id love another in maybe five years. I know it will be hard to find one though. I loved my whippet, he was small and hard, I’m not so keen on these taller types I see a lot of today. He was a bloody good worker. However my spaniel lurcher gives me much more in a similar sized
