To the negative posts questioning our freedom.....perhaps you would like to take a short holiday in North Korea? Brexit was never going to be a massive change. It was just the first step. Brexit was never going mean automatic control of immigration, we still need the right mps to do that. But controlling anything was impossible when in the EU. Now we have to vote the right people into parliament. So get out there when the time comes and campaign. Don't like any of the candidates? Well stand for election yourself. You can do that you know! That's freedom. We got the first step10 points

The point is, Wilf, WE are now making our immigration policy, not the EU. If we make a pigs ear of it, that's OUR fault. And , as you keep reminding us, if we don't like it, we can make it known with our votes........something we couldn't do when the EU was making our immigration policy. Of course it won't be perfect, but as I keep stressing, it's about sovereignty, us choosing our own destiny. Cheers.8 points

Strikes me back to the 7 o'clock news on Radio 4 the day after the referendum. And I said to the Mrs... " Bloody hell we've only gone and done it" !!!! and all the agro and votes in parliament. And the traitorous b*****ds like b.lair and major and bercow and the turncoats and all the mp's that tried to form spin off parties but who all got chopped at the election. The worthless libs and the traitorous Scots. Oh and don't forget the bloke that kept hollering out outside parliament every night and the bias of the bbc. There should be a lot hanging off of the railing outside parliament.8 points

Fast food, processed food, lack of exercise etc etc has had a big bearing on the unhealthy Western world norm.... you are completely correct on saying that...but it still doesn't alter that this rhetoric of 388 under 65 is bollocks... there could be a million and 1 reasons why they have died, but covid pushed them over the edge... its just an easy figure to chuck about and claim as fact... I like how you look at things mate, always read your posts and agree with most, I'm personally just watching this unfold and can't make big sweeping statements as we ate still in the middle of it....th7 points

Or non of them, a night of the realm should have made a real change to people’s lives or invented something that helps everyone out, not sit in a car being pandered to like rockstars and driving really fast, it’s all become rather meaningless in my opinion ?7 points

Naive........Hmmm. Is it naive to be free to regain sovereignty? Is it Naive to be free to make our own trade deals ? Is it naive to be free to make our own laws ? Is it naive to be free to spend the billions ourselves, that we gave to the EU ? Is it naive to be free from the ECJ making our laws and over ruling our courts ? Is it naive to be free to control our own waters and fisheries ? Is it Naive to be free to deploy our own armed forces and not for them to be part of the "European Army" ? Is it naive to be free to make our own immigration policies, a7 points

But at least our dictators are now elected by us and not just sworn in for back handlers and bribes, every journey starts with one small step ?7 points

I've got two Mitchell Match reels, both blue and in very good nick. They get an outing every now and then. Also got a Mitchell Half-Bail, the type Richard Walker used to catch the record carp, and a 1955/6 model with full bail. Also a 300 and ABU 506 bought with my paper round and Saturday job money. A few more centrepins too.... A 1940's /50' Arerial Popular This one is unique. It was made in 1912 probably as a prototype by a reel maker who left Hardys and struck up shop on his own. I agree with you ! I have no trust in politicians, after all, the vast majority of them didn't want Brexit, and did everything in their power to reverse it when we DID vote for it ! But we won the vote, and against the odds, it has finally been completed. We showed that the people CAN change things ! It just saddens me that the die hard remainers are STILL plotting against Brexit ! Cheers.6 points

If I was a gun and couldn’t attend because I lived in Tier 4 , but others could shoot , I would wish them a great day and hoped they got some good sport . What a bunch of mean spirited tossers , they are behaving like children. Deal with them another day , forget about them and enjoy whatever shooting you can . ATB ?5 points

As was posted earlier; this isn't the end of it. I was going to say that the EU will start to test the UK by putting obstructions in their way. To try and make things uncomfortable for the UK, but it appears that Boris has got in first and banned the Dutch pulse fishing vessels. This is going to be the start of niggling disputes. Basically the EU will do anything to get the UK back on the payroll. Getting a no tariffs deal was a big thing for EU industries. With a WTO deal they would be put at a big disadvantage as the EU's protectionism has kept non-EU goods at higher prices for years g5 points

I completely get Greymam being reluctant to take a vaccine as he has said the time developing isn't long enough for him to feel assured its safe, its a hard fact to argue. I also think Greyman is actively dropping off the radar/rat race, from his posts and the short time in his company id say solitude, peace maybe even a little isolation is what he enjoys and thrives on...living the dream!! Lol.... so why would he need or want the vaccine?? Is that the case with all other anti vaxxers?? I dont think so personally...it seems more like a f**k you to the establishment, government, pharmas a5 points
-
If you travel to most far flung destinations you have a vaccine, in fact a few vaccines So is the reluctance based on the short time the vaccine has been developed only? 99% of people vaccinate there kids, hundreds of thousands probably millions have the flu jab... Is this a kick back against science? Because science has in the main been one of humans greatest strengths. Who truly gives a f**k if the pharmaceuticals are gonna make trillions...they're already billions of times richer than any of us, who cares?? I'll never ger my head around blaming the government5 points
-
From my own personal perspective no conspiracy, just not willing to be a living Guinea pig for a vaccine that has been created in 10 months not 10 years of a normal vaccine has had lots of the crucial testing skipped is making a handful of people an obscene amount of money and will protect me from a virus that I have a 99.8% chance of recovering from naturally, I think it’s more common sense than conspiracy but hey ho ??5 points

I’ve been waiting to react to this post until I spoke to my sister in law , who works at Gloucester Royal . Now I’m all for a conspiracy theory but this is just a journalist who was looking for a story and stir the shit . The area she filmed wasn’t near the covid wards which are in the tower block and can’t be accessed by the public, she filmed an area of the hospital which was more or less shut down because of the holidays and staff shortages . The members of staff at GRH feel insulted and angry with this story .4 points

I’ve just had a phone call from the shoot captain, a couple of the members are not happy that we are shooting tomorrow, no one is forcing them to come and the alternative is I go up and rifle the lot, as it has been from the start of the season, you make your own decision as to if you feel comfortable being there. The captain said they won’t air their thoughts with me because they already know my response, if I get my way next season they won’t need to worry about it, TWISTY FACED OLD TW*TS ?4 points

That was certainly why I voted to leave mate... I didn't for 1 minute think every issue we have would be resolved the day we leave...but at least the power is now in our hands, that silent majority that has come out a few times over the last few years could have a big bearing on the future of our country... We must remember all of us want slightly different things to thd next man, there is not 1 policy that suits all...but the British will now have the say.4 points

The airlines and the holiday companies and places like Spain and Greece will be so desperate for travellers I can't see them imposing severe restrictions unless its forced upon them. Another blow for the Remainers, is that there's just been an agreement between the U.K. and the EU that we won't need International Driving Lisences and they will recognise our UK lisences. Just another instance where common sense will over rule "project fear" ! Cheers.4 points
