Ray,its clear you have no real understanding of depression, you can take all the meds in the world and it will never sort out the mind of a manic depressive, and you got the patience of a saint ...id be very happy not to have you anywhere near any poor soul with mental issues, you have a very selfish outlook it seems after reading your thoughts ..ive lived with a family member for 50 years with mental health issues, and its horrendous for all the family but 10 times worse for the sufferer13 points

I suffer with depression myself, and it is a bitch to deal with on many days. Sometimes even getting out of bed to face the world is more than hard work. Not going to go into it too much, as there are certain people on here that will NEVER understand it, and due to their own mental ineptitude, would see it as an opportunity to take the piss in some form. I know there are others on this site that also suffer with it, and I'd just like to say 'keep your heads up guys, and keep battling on' ?. f**k all to do with this thread really, just saying like lol ?9 points

She turned 6 months last week and is really starting to find her feet now, a touch over 23" tts and right solid lump. Had a few blips on the way, mainly being lulled in to a false sense of security with stock breaking once she realised it was fun to chase stuff? Anyway back on track now, brilliant recall and does all the basics, jumps low fences, finds her way over most dry stone walls etc and touch wood... stock broke. Really enjoying just going out and mooching about with her watching her learn the job and develop. Few pics from today ?9 points

Been cursed with this debilitating malady all my life...? It's a c*nt of a thing,..unfortunately, as you become older and less focused on a passion, one that can distract the fecker, it invariably becomes worse... The only respite for myself would seem to be, walking out with the dog,...this cures it, for a while,..but, you cannot stay out in the woods and fields forever...?8 points

if you could put depression into some sort of order this is the way id describe it ,,firstly ,theres slight depression ,kind of like an umbrella over them,...when some one gets down in the dumps, ,,they see a doctor, they get a bit of help and a pill or two and after weeks /months they get back to their old self then theres the shawl on their shoulders of fear ,/dread and uncertainty ,,some get through it some dont ,a lot of counselling and meds ... then theres the Manic Depressive ,there covered in a blanket of doom and gloom, the glass is always half empty ,they see no joy whatsoev7 points

A lot of depression and associated illnesses (anxiety, ocd etc) are due to a lack of serotonin hence a lot of antidepressants are serotonin boosters. That's why telling somebody to "man the fcuk up" is as pointless as telling a diabetic they don't need insulin.7 points

Took the old lady out today to a sitty tree i`ve shot over for a few years. The 1986 HW77 was flawless. Four presentations and she took the lot. I checked zero before going out and checked zero on arrival, i had to allow 1/2 mill dot left to right today as there was a slight prevailing wind. Range is 38 yards. Here`s my poser. Retrieval to hand of the squirrel. After a working day. atb Mark.6 points

With my missus it was a whole bunch of things, we have 2 autistic boys that we love to bits but can be mentally draining, our financial situation was wank, our housing situation was worse....all that coupled with her own personal issues and she just became withdrawn, not enjoying life at all, she did need the medication to help pull herself out6 points

No mate, VERY different from just feeling 'a bit down', it's a fecking b*****d of a condition which NO-ONE can just shake off. Feeling a bit down, and suffering with depression are two VERY different things5 points

Is complete. I missed a few but made a few good shots. I don't think I will get anymore rws HV ammo again, to many are sub sonic! Wish I could find some eley local. Oh and it disturbs other rabbit none, no worse than a subbie! What most forget is the racket made by the bullet hitting anything which is usually louder than the subbie leaving the gun! Anyway another thing about rabbiting is sometimes Charlie comes and takes a look and one did, a mouse squeak and in it came. Shot through the heart in thick cover it crashed about and then silence. The keeper will look for it tom4 points

In my case, I suffered a fall in which I broke my shoulder blade, collar bone, some ribs and fractured my skull, and left me in a coma for 5 weeks. 50% deafness in my right ear, constant tinnitus, balance problems, sight in right eye affected, facial palsey, fatigue and forgot how to read and write, all of which left me with just a smidge of f***ing BITTERNESS!!! Lol. Trained all my life and kept fit, went into hospital weighing 16 stone 10lbs, came out weighing 8 stone 11lbs. Seen the replies above, and yes, it is a bit surprising reading some of these figures. But with all this faceboo4 points

Trials using psilocybin (magic mushrooms) have shown great promise in the treatment of clinical depression. Hopefully more research can be done, and without the stigma that the research and administration of cannaboids had simply because they’re also illegally used recreationally.4 points

Respect to you fella and i'd say there's very few folk in the modern world who haven't suffered some sort of mental illness during their lives and i'd say many a man has suffered is silence due to the ego stigma involved in asking for help when your struggling... I wish you all the very best shaaark ..4 points

Mentioned elsewhere & seeing as its good to talk - which typically we dont! Zinc Magnesium! Over-the-counter magnesium tablets can banish the blues in just TWO WEEKS without the side effects associated with antidepressants Taking a daily dose of the mineral eases depression without causing side effects Some 61% of the study's participants would use the supplements in the future Magnesium combats inflammation, which is linked to the mental health disorder Improvements occur regardless of the patient's age, sex or antidepressant use https://w3 points

Because i got convicted of 1 out of 9 charges 9 ( i got a conditional discharge for it ) there is little the papers will do now , Unfortunately unless there a solicitor there is nothing any one else can do i knew from the start it would be a long old haul ill stick with it hurting them as much as i can . I must be doing something to them as they insist on coming round every few months saying they have received a complaint from a member of the public and can they see my animals only to be throw off the property3 points
