  3. Hit the woods again this weekend... took the dog, for a change and it was more about him getting out and about but the little sod wouldn't leave the house without pinks. Proper working dog So I took the closest rifle in the cupboard and had a walk round the estate with him. Wore me Davy Crockett warmer. Bagged a nice brace for lunch tomorrow. Clear day too. The cathedral in the distance is normally out of sight. We set up shop in a heavy wooded area and buggered off home after an hour or so. Not quite a kaiser... but he's learning. I think.

  4. If your not watching the British legion festival of remeberance then you should watch it on catch up ... NO you should be duty bound to watch it to appreciate what the great service personnel past and present have done and do for this country ... their sacrifices let you go about your daily business without worry ... watch it and see the pain in the hearts of those that have lost loved ones that died defending this country .... watch it and listen to what hell of men now in their nineties went through and still remember painfully today ... watch it and be thankful it's not you that has to hav

  6. 1st WW, 20th century weapons and 18th century tactics......terrible. Was looking yesterday, 51 blokes from the little town in Ireland near me were killed. the modern day population is only 2000 must have been about 1200 then. 2nd WW my old man would have been 98 this coming February. Joined in 1936 And was part of the BEF, they sent them lads over to fight the most modern army the world had ever seen with absolute shite kit sometimes only 10 rounds for outdated weapons. My old fella and his pals were some of the many that got left behind to fight the rear guard action

  7. Heard people have been getting more creative with pheasants and as I had a few brace in the chiller wanted to have a go at sausages. I had half a bag of complete mix left over from some venison ones I’d done a week or so back (chilli and coriander) so thought what the heck... 2 kg pheasant breasts 1 kg 70/30 VL pork belly Bunch of fresh coriander. Handful of soft apricots 650 grams of complete sausage mix 750mil cold water Natural hog casings. I chopped the apricots into quarters and put them through the mincer along with the meat. I added the ch

  11. I decided to give the Mk3 it's first proper trip out last week, on the rats at the manor house permission - there's usually a good few around the grain silo and the chicken sheds. First things first, I tried a couple of different pellets to see if I could use something with a bit more clout and less penetration. ....... I ended up opting for Baracuda Hunter Extremes In total we got about 20 rats - mostly off of the frame work on the silo. The Baracudas were cracking them hard with a lot of noise and, barely any movement after they'd been hit. ....... Mos

  12. Up to see in the dawn which promised to be a decent day . Got to a local perm in plenty of time to evaluate the wind and where to head for first . The very first field held what appeared to be a tiny button buck on its own and just what I needed for a chap I’m working for at the moment who’s been pestering for a beast . Easy stalk to within 70 yards , deer feeding slowly away unaware . On sticks and back of the head shot to which 8 more explode from the hedge including a buck still in hard antler . No point in dropping anymore today so watched them move on into next field . Just about to start

First into work the next morning is Mary, and she has a bad hangover. He says to her "Mary, I have to lay you or Jack off." She replies "Have yerself a wank then, I'm f****n' dying."

There are some very good forums - a few of the bigger ones have a mixture of competition shooters and hunters ..... there seems to be a funny ol' divide between certain shooters sometimes where different sorts don't agree with others. Indeed, I know a couple of target shooters that don't agree with hunting and, I know a chap who owns rifles and shotguns that thinks I have no business shooting animals with my 'toys'. I like this

  19. Polish go to the UK and integrate?Really? They are exactly the same as Pakistanis, africans, syrians etc, they "ghetto'ise" an area (Is that an English word?It is now),as soon as you see a few polskie sklep's springing up in a high street you know the areas f****d,they do pull the race card, and if they did have a nationalistic mindset why dont they make Poland great instead of abandoning it en-masse?

  25. Met up for a mornings ferreting with my pal, he brought his beddy x pup and the honey badger x ferret. Was a nice cold morning for it and we soon warmed up as we soon realised that digging was going to be the trend of the day. I fetched my whippet Patch with me to snap up any that miss the nets but it wasn’t happening today, paddy(the ferret) was making short work of bottling them up in stop ends.

  26. Andrea Pirlo retired this week, I just thought the retirement of such a great player was worthy of a mention. Probably one of the greatest examples of how football is played with your brain as much as anything and one of the great exponents of the creative midfielders art. Thanks for the memories......and for making Joe Heart look a cock with your penalty skills !

  30. After reading moxys post on pistols and jonjons pellet testing I thought I'd combine the two. I borrowed the beeman p17 below from a pal of mine and looking back at his records he says with predator polymag in .177 it doing 417 fps which is just over 3ftlb. I routed out some odds and sods of pellets and set up a target at 12 yards and had a plink. I was shooting with the open sights and at all times aiming at the centre cross without changing poa with different pellets. By far the worst pellets were the pointers by Remington as they blocked the barrel on 2 occasions so onl

The thing is with most people wilf out of sight is out of mind, most people can see when an areas being swamped with Africans, pakistanis, syrians, but not polish, you see a few mothers walking to school with their kids or builders in a van they look the same as the average brit, its only when you know an area, when you realise that polish is englands second most common language, you realise that poles are the biggest immigrant group, more than the highly visible Indians, and as with all groups birds of a feather flock together, folks are tribal no two ways about it,polish are no different,f**k sakes som

  35. Whilst raw minced bone and meat has got to be better than a complete food, feeding only mince kind of defeats one of the objects of feeding raw: that of getting a dog to chew its food, which cleans its teeth and exercises the jaw. I can understand why some people, if they've had a bad experience of feeding bones in the past, might not want to give carcases or raw bones, but without chewing on stuff like that the dog will still end up with brown, plaque-covered teeth. If I was at all worried about a dog swallowing a bone whole (wing, for example) I'd feed the dog quietly away from other dogs a

Shoving to front pf ques then when getting pulled up about it gibbering away polish. Drinking cans of beer and cheap vodka then throwing the empties on ground when a bucket is not 20yards away. Then there is the theft. Shoplifting, stealing bikes washing etc etc. Was on a bus about 3weeks ago i swear shut youre eyes you would swear i was in some eastern European shit hole. 38. I agree. I rate Mourinho as a manager but he always buys for the present time and for himself, he has no interest in a clubs future or any youth players coming through. He buys the latest stars, wins a few trophies and fks off to the next club. I hate to blow hot air up players arses but Loftus-Cheek looked fantastic against Germany the other night. Be nice to see him flourish.
