Now, I’m a rank amateur and don’t profess to have any farming knowledge of capabilities beyond any other random lad you could lift out of a council estate…..but I did study this subject extensively. Now, over here it’s all cattle in the main and the given wisdom is “the bigger, the better”, killed at 30 months, start again along with all the prescribed medication/worming programmes as set down by the ministry ! My postman has 300 cattle and his bagged feed bill alone every month is €1800 ! But, during the course of my reading and studying I came across a breed of cattle called A4 points

Do you think your system would work at a bigger scale WILF? What your saying all makes sense but from what I can make out from this cattle game it’s no different from horses your trying to produce something that the market wants to buy. And in Ireland that is big cattle. Big difference farming for fun and making it into a business. I’m scratching my head on a daily basis seeing the bills that land here3 points

I've found over the years , that the more I eat game meat , the more I prefer it . Not liking it is more in your head , than on your palette. I remember the first few times I ate squirrel. I was a bit freaked out by it , because I'd always seen them as rats , but once I'd eaten a few , my brain realised that they're delicious. We eat much more game meat that I've harvested myself, than shop bought meat.3 points

Im afraid some Labour MP has kidnapped WILF and is having up all for fools. Release him now and we will take no further action. Personally I can do a full 180 on the Good Friday agreement this is not an idle threat.2 points

So it should grow live stock…..it can only artificially grow wheat and that comes at the expense of destroying the soil ! Nature always tells you what’s best. Ill also add, it need a chemicals to grow a monoculture crop but may not need chemicals in a mixed planting scheme in conjunction with over sowing, the soil can be adjusted naturally…..that farmer is just spewing what he has been told all his life by the same government bodies that get sponsored by the likes of Monsanto and Bayer !2 points

The crop fields should be full of wild flowers etc as well as the intended harvesting crop, like in the olden days, all the pollinators thriving doing their job and providing insect life for songbirds to feed on, it's all a big con2 points

The lads go round the housing estates etc with the knapsack and pump spray or the quad bikes with the tank load, cannot be doing any good, even the cosmetic look of the dried out and dying vegetation looks pretty shitty2 points

I'im supposed to be attending college next month for the spraying course, I've never liked the idea of spraying chemicals on the land, didn't they find some link between glyphosate or some other weedkiller and parkinsons disease some years ago?. Anyway it's to be included in one of the many courses I get put through, so will go down to do it, but I will avoid any use of the stuff during work2 points

It's hard to get hold of hens mate I've just bought loads of canaries in. Turns out more cocks than f***ing hens. Lol. Nightmare. Leave it with me. Loads of time yet. Let me see what's what. I'm not promissing but if it turns out I've got something spare. He can have a canary hen. Half of the birds that I've bought in. You can tell they've just been in flights food thrown in fat as f**k they are. I'm slimming them down on conditioning seed and wild buds now.2 points

Fair point definitely. I have just watched it. I actually get where some of it comes from, the fashion that is demonising of white heterosexual men in certain sections of society is unsettling to some. I felt the tikkytokky guy came across as immature and a bit insecure, but guess kids won’t see that. Social media platforms have the ability to amplify opinion out of proportion to reality if no-one puts out any counter argument. I’d treat these freak shows no different to the tranny pedlars, or the race baiters and either ignore or ridicule them. My boy is 16, and I think very similar to h1 point

I used them for rat jobs at night, plus fersls and generally mooching with my ultra se,s snd np02, fantastic! Then I sold both those rifles and have over 10,000 of them in stock, my fx,s don't like them and neither does my new kral puncher jumbo , so will be selling them on.1 point

I agree with you mate I really do, but I spent day with my eldest lad yesterday at his family sn friends open day on his infantry training course an it was refreshing to see so many lads still wanting to get out there own bedrooms/streets/schemes an comfort zones an test them selves an get out among it, lads from all walks of life, granted they won’t all do well at jt, but it shows there’s some youngester about that ain’t fcuked1 point

My Harris bipod was used on my 452 and fitted a treat, it doesn't seem to like the 457, the gun stock studs are much bigger and the Bipod struggles to pull it tight. Padding out the bipod should work, I'm looking at the self adhesive neoprene as first choice.1 point
