He was originally charged, and found guilty of murder and sentenced to life with a minimum of nine years . The charge was reduced to man slaughter on appeal on grounds of diminished responsibility, and his sentence was reduced to five years, of which he served three. An absolute disgrace, he should have been seen as a hero for defending himself and his home, in my opinion, but the establishment doesn’t want us to take the law into our own hands, which would be fair enough, if they meted it out fairly ! Cheers.9 points

Goly ,you are a genius ! Killing old people to save the state money ,great idea ,we could have incentive schemes too ,like it you persuade your grannie ,who is only 68 to go at the same time as your grandad ,then you get a tax rebate ,and why even bother with the cost of drugs when a cushion when they're having an afternoon nap costs nothing but why stop at old people ?what about disabled people and the cost of all those fkn ramps ,surely we could cull them even earlier ,sick people ? cancer? some of them little bald bastids last fkn years ,it must cost £££££££££££ ,downs syndrome ? they stop7 points

2 fully grown men(career criminals), actively took a teenage lad with them to rob the old boy( and not for the first time)...sent him in through a little window, old boy shouts down the stairs, let's off a barrel...they left the kid bleeding out then ran off lol....if there was any honour amongst thieves/gypsies,then their own kind would of delt with the cnuts? The one prick even had 200,000 compo because he couldn't get a hard on after being shot...the whole case was a f***ing joke from start to finish6 points

The idea of a meaningful UK castle doctrine seems like fantasy these days. And yet arguably needed more than ever. Most right minded people would read the facts of that case and wonder what he did wrong.5 points

The hare coursers of Hull have genetic adaptations to hear high frequency sounds of up to 120,000 Hz. It's an adaptation to help avoid potential threats like drones & police cars, etc.5 points

It’s because they get battered now, it’s rare to see a fox that makes it past 2 now, when I started out shooting there was a lot of old foxes around, all the rifle lads were out after game to make a few quid, if they seen foxes they would shoot them but wouldn’t go out looking for them, they’d just leave them for the dog lads, now some only shoot foxes and with all the NV, thermal, callers, means there’s very little skill required now, I took a lad out a bit ago and he couldn’t get his head around a lamp and calling them off my hand4 points

They do take a fair bit of stock in areas where they overlap mate, but they do a right number on the wild game (moose, elk deer)as well, pretty much to the point the populations collapse and then they starve and die off anyway. It all goes in cycles., its just the cycles can take years / decades to play out and if the numbers are controlled the goal is to try and keep it in some semblance of balance.3 points

8 years ago near here an old bloke and his sister lived in a caravan in some woods right next to Heathrow.Local rumour was they were eccentric millionaires, they were burgled a few times. One night two blokes arrived at their caravan with zip-ties to shackle the siblings, the old guy shot one dead with a shotgun. The caravan owner was sentenced to 10 months for owning an unlicenced shotgun, nada for the dead burglar.3 points

You sound like an anti, I bet you’ve killed foxes, an never ever even had chooks or lambs to protect, or even ate them after, who are we to question folk, remember the govt questioned us an banned it. I do3 points

Exactly. The concept that someone who’s fleeing is no longer a threat is insane. The moment you cross the threshold you should be considered a threat until you’re out of shot or surrendered. Its not even like these fellas were an edge case. They were career criminals from a family of criminals. Its as mental as catching a fox at your birds and not shooting because matey is running away.3 points

I worked and studied hard, took one or two risks in going abroad to live and work, way, way out of my comfort zone. It worked out well and I planned to retire at fifty, but at the request of my employers I waited until I was 51. Ive greatly enjoyed 21 years of retirement and at 72 years of age I’m still fit, healthy and active, and certainly not a burden on the NHS , ( yet) , or the Exchequer. I owe nothing and claim nothing and I could name plenty at half my age who should be way in front of the queue for Grebby’s euthanasia plan before me ! LOL ! Cheers.3 points

Final thought. Goly is demonstrating the arrogance and selfishness of youth. Oldies aren't appreciated or cared for by the wider family as they are say, in the rest of Europe. We stick ours in care homes, take the houses and possessions of those that have them and farm them out to private entrepreneurs. Their carers are paid rock bottom wages which reflects the importance they are given. But oldies fought the wars and built modern Britain. It's a shitshow.3 points

That is something that has been on the agenda for me for a few years now. Something always scuppers my plans :-). Funnily enough just before reading this post I had got the urge to put a few rounds through one of my prized possessions. Just goes to show you cannot put a spring powered air rifle away for a few years and expect decent groups when you next pick it up. Won't say the range, embarrassingly close, hence the desire for a bigger garden. If I'd went for chest cavity them antelopes would have dropped though.3 points

We certainly do mate. I'd inject the lazy, thieving b*****ds for free. I'd even work weekends if they asked me to.2 points

I'm 64 and feel sound so I'm going to go for a no on that. What I would vote for is any lazy b*****d who has spent more than 30 years (or whatever number you like) living on benefits should be euthanised. That would probably save the country as much money.2 points
