Still have to pop back every 3-4 weeks to make sure things are still good but its a start! Poor thing hasnt been off lead for coming up 4weeks. I always compare the whippets and small whippet types I have seen with there exciting type of running to the goshawks I have seen on rabbits a lot more exciting than the Harris hawks I have seen on the same quarry.

If I was you I wouldn’t run him until next season, if you have to get a front toe off it could be all downhill from there. Best way to look at it is your seasons been ruined anyway so just write it off and give him more or less a full year to recover, a bit of patience could save that toe & the rest of his career

Brilliant pics green lurchers. Some of my earlier memories were of whippets taking rabbits and hare's on land that was not easy going with small fields thick hedgerows and fences. I know when i saw for the first time one of the Caithness dogs that came to the area that was predominantly a stocky whippet it's recovery rate and tenacity was very impressive to say the least.
