Just back from top or Scotland, daughter was mackerel fishing I had mackerel for breakfast and tea every night but one ha she did good she had a full house (5 ) on her £14 Boyes fishing rod I thought it was going to snap !

In the village down from me it’s a common sight to see women doing the shopping in their pyjamas and dressing gowns and slippers. They are what we used to call “chavs”, they’ve just got older, lazier and have more children. They can be seen coming out of shops like Lidl and Iceland with a trolley full of 2 litre bottles of own brand cola, multi pack crisps and copious amounts of chicken nuggets and turkey twizzlers. I've been visiting Skeg on and off my whole life and I think it's a general drop in standard of females theses days to be honest. They don't make women like they used to. Take my late mum for example. Always on the go.. a proud woman with high standards. I used to wake up on a school morning and smell that day's dinner being cooked before she went to work so it was ready and waiting for us when we got home and running the hoover around at the same time! Not the greatest sound to wake up to as a teenager! Also.. I could go out on a Friday night and the shirt I'd worn would be washed and ironed

My son and i went out last night looking to catch a brown trout for the table, we got one, but slightly bigger than we expected! Flesh is a lovely red colour and will be eaten with home grown veg and a glass of dry white wine.

The only reason its not been attacked like other feildsports so far, is because the government have used it over the yrs to promote mental health and well being...was the first/only thing you could do when that covid shit came about ?I love my fishing personally,but I am a dogman first and foremost( fishing filled my time when my dogs was knocked up or waiting for the season to start)...ive always said they would eventually stop it ,same way as the hunting with dogs...I honestly believe they have been actively polluting our rivers and seas for decades,telling us its not safe to eat/swim etc

I’ve seen a lot of feet, tendon and muscle injuries, especially dropped graccillis, on non ped whippets, more so on the extremely fast ones. I put this down to the fact they spend most of there time on a lead and the rest of the time running in a straight line. We didn’t seem to have those problems many years ago when I had them and they were multi purpose coursing, hunting AND racing dogs. Cheers.

I'm working with a lad now who lives in a horsebox..he owns 83 acres of land..he showed me pics on his phone of the horsebox and what he calls his outside kitchen..its more of an open fronted large wooden shed..lovely looking setup..polly tunnels..chickens..large veg plot etc..looks a very nice place he's made for him and his missus..no mains electricity or water mains..its a very smart clean setup he's got..
