Shoots sweet, will keep my 9 yr old lad entertained and get him off the playstation and out in the fresh air,will fit a little sling and swivels,and get him a slip?

Just back from a trip up North West Scotland. Mainly spent in the sea kayaks exploring various areas. Wild camping on headlands along the way. Very lucky with the weather and a great place for adventures.

Like I've said a few times in these threads, I've not seen one myself, and I don't believe there's a thriving, breeding population of any species of big cat here, but the odd pairing up every now and again, very feasible.

I think he’s stopped making them, one of our team uses them and rang about a new one, but unfortunately he’s not making them now. I’ve used rabbit fever nets for the past 2 seasons with no complaints, however I’m going with les Nelson nets this season for a change, cheers Neil B

I got the expression from my old man too. The days of political,correctness hadn't arrived. I remember, just after the war, ( 2nd World War smart arses). We had the luxury of meat for Sunday dinner. The old fella was just about to divvy up the roast when a stray cat appeared through an open window and tried to take off with the roast. The old man was on it like a shot, grabbed it by the back legs and smashed its head against the wall. He the finished it off, put it in the bin, and went back to carving. Job done.

I'm close to finishing the frame of my Mark2 fishing canoe . It's very similar to the Mark1 version l made a few years ago but a lot lighter and hopefully without my built in design faults . Anyway today l had a stroke of luck when l neatly sliced a big chunk off the back of my thumb while cutting a tricky angle on one of the long side strainers. I dripped so much blood l'll save a fortune on wood stain!?
