Looked at the tides at the start of the week and we decided exactly which tide we'd be fishing. Me, Mills, Tom and Decs headed up; when we left it was -2 but dropping rapidly and by the time we got out the motors it was -6.5⁰c. Went out this afternoon tracking in the snow , not a lot of snow but enough to find fox tracks. I had only been on the ground 10 minutes when I could smell fox , you wouldn't believe it but it appeared around 60 yards away out of some cover and sat down. Luckily I was to its left and I managed to get the rifle on my sticks and take a lovely vixen. Carrying on not 10 minutes later I spied a doe couched on the edge of the wood. Neck shot 150 yards through the neck ? A beautiful afternoon to be out, made me feel alive ?

rrwe done an over night trip up bush done well with the ferrets and dogs done some spotlighting of at night done well. We ended up with just under 200 bunnies but we could have done better if we didn’t take a wrong turn and we all got stuck. But at the end of the day we all had a great day with great company. And it was great week end
