I always like a walk on a full moon with a lurcher, done it now for 35 years, and still like it. Went out last night 10 pm with Buck , i take me small lamp just in case lol, .Buck was out in front, i go on these few fields by me, i find a hole in hedge and pop in lol, never much on here the odd rabbit, or munjack or fox, but norm dont see alot when out, but thats ok it just nice 50 min walk for Buck before i feed him , and shut him up in his kennel for the night. Buck gets his head down, i knew something been there , the way he was moving, i was watching him along the side of the hedge , wh25 points

Had an "ooh, are, nearly had it" run yesterday with the young deer cross bitch . Not many about, and what we did see were sitting close by the hedges or cover, and on their toes in an instant ! First was what looked like one of your 500 yard slips, but in reality was probably "only" about 200. It was sitting close to a hedge and I only slipped to loosen the bitch up, it was gone before she got near it. Second one was again a longish slip on one sitting near cover. This one she managed to put a bend in before losing it. Third run was much better, about a 75-100 yard slip, s14 points

It's just we've gotten kinda used to peoel noticing and going all around the world trying to ask without being offensive or sounding ignorant we usually just kinda break the ice and let it be known, other wise it tends to get akward lol. But yeah they've tried to scout him for football a few times and he's just not super interested. He's more of an academic . Gentle giant type. Kid enjoys tending to his cucumber plants more then being a little thug even though he could easily destroy most of his class mates ? Seems to have found himself and I'm pretty happy about that ! Happier still he'8 points

One of the trapping demonstration I filmed the weekend . Jeff super experienced with mink, think he averages 50 a seasons on a really low year and much higher if he's doing adc work or he's actually hafer them hard..mainly a body grips guy. Anyhow figured it might interest some of you guys since y'all have mink over there ? Btw I'm freinds with the guy and we talk fairly frequently so if you have a question I'll be happy to ask for him. ?7 points

Was given a couple of broken DOC traps a couple years back. Finally got round to fixing them and made a couple of boxes to see how they preform. Bait basket on the underside of the lid which is inaccessible when lid is closed stops the victims buddy making a meal of the bait. Cable tie indicator so at a glance trap can b checked without opening lid.3 points

I have good days, and blank days, like anyone who is honest about their dogs, no dog takes everything it's slipped on. I enjoy all days out , but it is nice if you get something for the freezer ! ??! Cheers.3 points

A young black un. Bill Brightmore bred, bought him directly off Bill. He was getting on in years when I met him, but what a character. Sat in his farm house listening to his old stories. The dog had a good start, a bit too hard and grew a tad too big for the sandy tight earths I was working at the time for me. But a lovely dog with a good nature.3 points

That's where I believe your wrong Tim..pay cheap, you pay twice...plus when you use something day in,day out you want it to be comfortable ,use the minimum amount of effort and last ..otherwise your sure to end up with tennis elbow or other aliments...you wouldn't hike up Everest in your sliders would you??3 points

Good for you, what a lovely post ? Amazing achievement to get a scholarship so well done young man, I couldn’t actually tell your older brother had any type of “disability” (for want of a better term) but there are few lads on here have experience of autism (myself included) and we know that don’t alway make people “disabled” …….it’s just different challenges. You just know that young man is going to get to college and they will look and say “There is the protection for the quarterback !” Lol …….they won’t be letting him play trumpet while the QB is getting sacked right, left and cen3 points

He used to do little league for a while but about two years of that he just decided it wasn't for him and my parents to believe in pushing us to stuff like that like a lot of parents do. But yeah even when he was just a little kid he was a brick shit house and he was a beast on the field. I mean I'd help coach and I'd watch hime hold three other kids in place ? and with them cleats there just wasn't any moding him . He rarely would tackle but when he did...man it was like a f***ing wrecking ball, thank God he doesn't have my temper ?? was trying to find some pictures of him back then playing b3 points

Was check trail cams at my parents place and dad just kinda out of know where said " you know ...wonder what to catfish we stocked in the bottom pasture pond are doing ?" Probably been a year or two since we did any fishing together, and my little said he want to too , and he's 17 goin on 18 now so now's the time to do some family stuff . So 30min later down at the pond. Few small channel catfish probably 60-80 bream ( these little farm ponds are full of them and once they get in a school it's back to back as fast as you can cast). Little 4' Ulta light and 4lbs test make2 points
