So tonight I was meant to be out on the moor for a bumper rabbit session with little Hugo’s dad, but he had rang his dad and ask if he could come over for a dad and son movie night so you can’t fault him for doing the good dad thing, anyway I thought I’d give the sheep farm a go, when I got there the wind was very strong and even though it was a 3/4 moon it was very bright. I decided to head to the back of the farm where there’s one big tree that would give me a bit of cover and some shelter, setting the caller out 40 yards down the field from me it was 15 minutes before I seen the unmistakabl9 points

Beautiful morning try and catch a few before the rain sets in. Managed 8 but I'm knackered it was so warm and a rabbits bolting at the bottom of the 100 yarder then the top, and the ferret was not even in. I'm not the racing snake I once was Lol. Cheers Arry7 points

Just to get away from the covid, we are all going to die and boxing nonsense on here have been for a nice wander to a little hidden valley on the Cotswolds picked up a nice bag of pine cones to use as fire lighters and a few walnuts to nibble on and set up another camera near a natural spring on a good pinch point along the valley edge ?6 points

Guys what you reckon. Found this one field away from where William of Orange held his first parliament in England. Do you think any connection ??? Cheers Arry5 points

This is the set up my FIL has ; 8kw system with 4 48v 100ah lithium batteries and another 12 panels to go in. He had 2 options 40k to have mains run in or 15k for solar. Solar is technically on wheels but you can have 3m² without planning.5 points

Paulus. I am shocked at what is seen as normal viewing on normal TV. I know we need to open up to it but our grandchildren are being indoctrinated to this. I’m not in the least impressed. Jok.5 points

Im cooking about a third of them now, fried a couple of onions and few cloves of garlic, put to one side. Washed then dried the cepes (boletus edulis), chopped em up & fried in oil for 10 minutes, then added the cooked onion/garlic, 15 minutes slow frying on the woodburner then ill put a third into an omelette. Knackered me out just a couple of hours in the woods (still getting over my op), no hunting this season for me, but still need to be in the woods.5 points

Another way is to get a lid that fits your frying pan and when the white of the egg is cooked put a little bit of water in the pan put the lid on straight away and the steam will cook the yolk perfectly in about 30 seconds.5 points

Are these any good to any of you that reload, there’s 30 .243 once fired, most are Sako with a couple of Norma and there’s 30 .223 once fired and all of them are Hornady, if anyone can use them let me know and I’ll send them to you, if not they will be tossed in the scrap bin4 points

Was out this morning with the dogs for a walk and noticed where my van was parked there's an Audi jeep parked beside me could tell no one was inside looked about and spotted a lad walking around the field looking at his feet so went over and had a chat turned out he's only picking mushroom ? with plastic bags on his feet and driving a £20,000 grand+ jeep times are hard4 points

Yeh, make you right, liberty caps. Theres another one 'wavy caps', growing in lots of uk carparks on these new retail parks, grows on the woodchip weed suppressor thats all over the place. Cubensis kits are very easy, 'apparently' according to my friend...4 points

Nice one Stavross , very generous as usual. I get good results with my .223 with a 50grn Vmax , using Vihtavuori 135 . I would post what measure I use but it’s over what is in the manual, and someone is bound to blow heir face off and then take me to court. ? Tbh I’m doing most of my shooting with the .243 now . I get unbelievable accuracy and better stopping power than the .223 . But like bumpy says it’s louder . But while I don’t want to draw any attention or disturb the locals , I’ve got every right to be where I am and do what I do so they are going to have to put up with the odd bang . Th4 points

I allways thought, in a sporting scenario, that "doubled up" was testing dog against dog. Whereas "single handed" was testing dog against hare ? Cheers.4 points

It’s funny how you perceive people ain’t it. , I always imagine gnash as being a Victorian dandy walking around the east end in a three piece suit , resplendent with bowler hat , cane and pocket watch , tipping his hat “ good morrow” to passing folks as a game dog strains on its leash on its morning constitutional. Whilst frequenting sawdust tavernas of an evening to partake in marquis of queens berry pugilist scenarios. all the while such phrases as “ blast Cecil ! It’s the law!” Are uttered . Like a kind of green street crossed with pesky blinders type scenario .4 points

I decided to go up mid afternoon today to see where the birds are heading back towards the pens from, I’m happy with Gordon’s pen as they are in the drives I would expect them to be in by now, not so much with forestry pen, I’m now cutting back on the feeding at forestry and feeding more in the drives surrounding the pen, with only 4 weeks until the first day I really need to push them further out, I have got a few more adult birds kicking about and just as I was heading back to the farm about 5pm there was a group of 8 adult cocks pecking at the wheat I’d scattered on my way to the piggeries,3 points

ran two this morning...left the field empty handed though...first run was a good one maybe just touched the 2 minutes mark...I got them back they were laying on the ground blowing hard when one 50 meters away decided now was a good time to move...of course they ran it....but they were still to bolloxed...got them back on the lease after it was gone and went home... just drove over that way half hour ago and two lads driving the fields in a 4x4...I stopped and asked if they had anything .. I hate it when the dive my land ...lol3 points

I don’t want anything for them, I just thought someone would have a use for them ? and as for nice man, I wouldn’t go that far, I think I’m just trying to make up for all the horrific things I did when I was younger ?3 points

Don't get me wrong, that's why I especially said "in a sporting scenario". ? Ive ran single, doubled, daytime, night time, in the snow, and if I want one for the pot I'll take them out the seat ! My point was that "doubled up", such as in the likes of the Waterloo Cup, is testing dog against dog, and killing the hare is almost immaterial ? Cheers.3 points

A bit of an update. I went back to do a job there ,and had a wander about the garden. Sure enough , there is plenty of deer damage. I had to grin when l saw this though.3 points

As mine has been at various stages over the years, unlike some i have no desire for my name to be up in lights and have wherever possible had it removed......not many people realise but any person has the right to have their name removed from most points of public record its called the " Right to Erasure "....sometimes you can do it yourself through " Opt Out Request " on pages of most websites.....other areas it will involve solicitors.....but ultimately if it means enough to you to pay for it " Reputation Management Specialists " get shit done.3 points
