Started the middle of July, here are a few pics of various packs I’ve been with so far. Some are early mornings and some are evening meets.

Been some amount of work in this one, architect had a field day the twat! Pretty much every type of industrial roofing and cladding detail on one job, to finish off hand pressed wall panels with extruded, tapered aluminium reveals.... in orange! The silver infill panels below window are bespoke made aluminium casings, we had to design and draw for fabrication.... Architects don't have to fix it, only draw it!! decent size sports hall roof, with cranked eaves...God i hate that detail!.. got 2 weeks left to finish, its gonna run over.... oh well...lol

By far and large yes. But equally that type know f**k all about breeding really, and their interest in blood is superficial, beginning and ending with a bit of paper with some red on it. The lads that take it seriously tend to be kennel huntsmen with hounds, terriermen, greyhound trainers etc. Breeding to these fellas means more than the Kennel Clubs approval. In my experience some of the lads that take breeding the most serious are the same lads that treat their dogs like tools. Performance tools that require proper maintenance, schooling, etc etc. But tools, rather than companions, nonetheless. These lads would cull 100 dogs in the pursuit of one outstanding dog, if necessary. Blood and performance is everything to them. Out again last night again with my mate to redeem himself. C50 zero checked and Ok so off we went to 1st location , a smallholder losing hens. Got set up on barn roof and within 5 minutes had a dog cub coming in nice to the cub call.....job sorted and owners happy 2nd location off to the local Hall again losing hens. By now there was no wind at all and very warm . I've successfully shot over and beat with border collies and a GSD. I herded sheep with a spaniel and cattle with the GSD. To some extent you can do anything with the right dog, but a good pedigree or blood line line will always stack the odds in your favour. Nothing guaranteed, nothing is in nature, but the genetic traits will swing the odds.

If I was looking for another pup it would have to be bred this way but sadly I don't think I'll be getting another runner

A bit early but have made a start, Had a nice morning out with a mate and our dogs and one of my new ferrets this years young.. he worked well alongside the older ferrets and is showing great promise, well happy with him! also some good signs of the rabbit population picking up so all is good atm we ended the morning with 6 good rabbits ?

We have or had lots of different local types of dog . Seemingly every other town ,village or big country estate kept a strain of working dogs. That might've been terriers for ratting , badger hunting or fox digging. Dogs for fighting ,baiting or racing. Or maybe a local type of hare,otter or fox hound or harrier. Even before landed gentry developed gun dogs specific to their needs, there were older breeds for hawking and hunting boar , wolves and deer . I ve been the same with all my lurchers for 35 years, enjoy them and what they have done when I've had them, all have something to rembered for. But this dog now Buck, deff ticked more boxes for me than the others, deff more in the field, and his temp, never had dog before with such nice steady nature, good with people/kids and dogs, so I deff won't forget him in hurry.
