As usual politicians are leading us into ww3,but it won't be there sons an daughters going to die, power hungry physcopaths who don't give two fucks about the people, putin needs to stop immediately an make a deal an Biden needs to meet him in the middle before we end up dead f***ing scumbags the lot of them.9 points

Best guard, protection dog I've owned, a pit/Am bulldog, not pretty and no bluff in her as she proved many times. Sadly had to PTS last week at nearly 13. R.I.P Hurley. She protected all the family and never hurt any of my other animals from terriers to baby chickens but hated all other humans.9 points

i find that very odd for somebody that has hunted all over the world and in many different ways ... now whilst i have never had any dealings with wolves and as a man who loves dogs....and lurchers in particular and there hunting prowess i just find all wild k9's absolutely fascinating ...and I'm surprised a fellow hunter and lurcher man wouldn't think the same .. so to say you hate them ..is very alien to me7 points

Not since the world wars has so much propaganda been pumped out to make us view things in a certain way. It's the most disgusting, one sided, dangerous propaganda machine we have ever seen. I recently saw a primary school decked out in Ukrainian flags. No discussion of the circumstances that brought us to this point, ask any church, school or empty head flying the Ukrainian flag about the situation in the area over the last 8 years and they would stare at you with a blank face. This whole war is being framed for the goodies/baddies Facebook mindset and its going to lead us to a dark place7 points

I usually have plenty of spare eggs, I give some to my neighbor, who happens to own a heating business and sees to any central heating problems I may have, F.O.C. I give eggs to my brother, he gives me fish. The cost of feeding my hens wasn't as much as buying eggs for myself. The manure from the poultry is also great for the veg I grow. So far, so good. The cost of feed is going up, so I've had to shop around, but up to now, I'm still in front, money wise, basically getting my eggs for free. I breed my own hens and ducks, so no capital outlay. Also, it's a h7 points

Popped up the river with the mutt to do a recce on the banks I want to start digging next week, don't know why but I find the lime kilns fascinating and beautiful. Then grabbed a pasty after dropping the dog home and popped up the top of the tidal tavi6 points

I think the point is we in the west shouldn't be having anything to do with labs on Russias border, just like America wouldn't allow Russian labs in Mexico. These countries were a border, a border that helped to end the cold War. Now the west is rattling that border, that agreement and that peace. It's like finding a phycopath sat out side weatherspoons drinking cider and repeatedly poking him with a stick.....then complaining when he bites your nose off. Yes of course biting noses is wrong.....but don't play the innocent victim.6 points

Popped out yesterday evening in search of a buck that I had seen on a gorse banking back in March. The weather was OK but still a cold easterly wind. I headed to my chosen destination but no luck only seeing 2 does. So I headed up the valley seeing nothing else except fields full of new born lambs. I then started heading back and spotted a fox along the edge of some gorse , I tried getting closer only to see him disappear into the gorse. I got myself set up 200 yds away hoping he would pop out but no sign so I did a little hand calling but still nothing. I then got my phone out6 points

The supermarkets, are a major cause of animal cruelty imo. Animals and birds are pushed to ever more limits to improve profitability. As soon as their efficiency drops below the required standard they are slaughtered. The average consumer doesn't think about welfare, they just look at price. Yet, often, they are the same people who give us stick for providing our own food via country sports. The hypocrisy is staggering. There is way more barbaric cruelty in intensive farming than there is in shooting, fishing or coursing. Try telling townies that though.5 points

I think every single one of us would agree that ukraines response to the attack was a well planned action by well trained soldiers and well briefed leadership. I don't know obviously, but I believe, that the west has been investing and training them for this for years. Now the world bankers stand on the side lines, waving our wealth (credit cards, loans, finance)...showing off our freedom (but remember you can't burn coal to warm yourself or run a hare with your dog or drive a car you can fix yourself) ..... "roll up roll up, bring your grain supplies and natural resources....freedom and5 points

I detest two animals wolves and baboons and both for exactly the same reason. I understand most people wont get it and I was the same and found them interesting to say the least. But the day you have your own loved dogs torn apart by either of them you will understand. I dislike most predators as during my lifetime I have had multitudes of my animals killed by them from my pet cavies to dogs and ferret to turkeys and even my fish collection. I admire most and have had many as pets etc, but I do not like most with the exception of one or two like weasels and skunks.5 points

People don’t realise that in a lot of cases when they are buying food from the supermarkets they are paying for it twice. The shelf price and then tax thats allocated as subsidies to farmers. It allows the supermarkets to squeeze the farmers on price then the taxpayer picks up the slack. currently the way we eat, buy and produce food is in a lot of cases a shambles.5 points

Today a customer gave me some useful metal dog run sections on the understanding that l also took an old safe away and a bucket of odd bits of plumbing offcuts and bolts . I don't know why but instead of taking the bits l didn't want straight to the scrapyard l took it all home. In the bucket of bits was a key and unbelievably it fitted the safe! And in the safe was this. A Diana SP50 Quite a scary looking thing when cocked. And even after a strip down and lube the accuracy wasn't exactly impressive . In fact some of the pellets were actually hitting the target si4 points

I boxed mate, only amature, no great shakes enjoyed it, loved the training, watched boxing since i was a kid, my Dad loved Ali, he hero worships no one but Ali was a big thing for him... I was only around 8 or so when Tysoe beat Berbick and can remember it like yesterday...some things stick in your mind .. I bet loads of lads on here have boxed a bit, or other fighting sports.... talking boxing, football, hunting, fighting, shagging etc is what blokes do... For the record, I think Fury has done amazing to come back from severe depression and be undoubtedly rhe biggest draw in boxing4 points

Amazes me how celebrities living in cities & towns in mainland Europe know what’s best for African wildlife , I suppose all it takes is a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti and your an expert ..tossers . This man has spent his entire working life doing more for wildlife in Africa than Gervais , Mrs Johnson and the entire celeb world could ever begin to understand …4 points

Or until the west stops incroaching on his border countries and investing in bio labs on his doorstep, maybe until Ukraine agrees to stop shelling ethnic Russians , maybe when the west stops trying to convince the whole area that freedom lies in debt to world bankers.....i don't know?4 points

I honestly don't think it would matter. Non-membership doesn't exclude them from having relations with someone other than Russia. I've said it before, even now, especially now, agreeing to not accede Ukraine to NATO won't be enough for Russia. They want Ukraine totally removed from having any sort of relationship with the West. I'm not intending to conclusively say were good and they're bad. I'm just really arguing against the opposite of that, that it's all our fault. It's just the reality of power structures and geopolitics. It's alright for Russia to have their proxies at our bord3 points

Farmers are also partly to blame for staffing difficulties. Farmers do in many cases live on another planet, if I'd of had decent bosses paying what I knew they could afford I'd probably still be milking cows, at least part time.....i know a lot of other lads who left the industry for the same reason. When you eat your dinner while driving a tractor or expected to interrupt your food 4 times to keep checking on a calving cow.....then see your wage has been docked an hours dinner break! I know lots of farmers, many good friends, but non understand managing people3 points

? I guess the guy has got his own reasons,...I suppose it all depends on where you have lived, and what you have personally experienced. Wolves, and wild dogs, can certainly present major problems to a livestock keeper... I've no feelings either way, regarding these amazing wild creatures,.. but I bet our skinny lurcher curs would pretty soon end up mullered, if we had Wolves prowling around our yards, at night... It must be emotional, waking up, to find your pet jukel ragged about, and left in several pieces? My missus would go fecking mad3 points

World peace can't be achieved if you can't or won't stop the war mongers(Biden) making billions from their destruction of other countries, just to plunder their oil and gas. Kiev will end the same way as all the other bombed out countries, just another waste land.3 points

I watch CNN and FOX news ,there is a strange type of honesty in their dishonesty (is that an oxymoron Rich?)neither hide the fact that they are biased ,they lie ,distort ,omit and preach an agenda ......you know they are doing it ,they know that you know ...but somehow by listening to the lie and what they don't say then you can get to an approximation of truth ...it's like doing a cryptic crossword .3 points

Do you know what mate, I don’t think there is imho. I think we live in an age where you have to research everything from various sources until you get to something like the reality of the situation. You also have to sift through countless, meaningless distraction articles released into the ether by people looking to cover something that’s really important. We live in the age of the moron !3 points

If you use Chrome make sure you update it asap. Apparently there’s been a hack and serious vulnerabilities exposed. On desktop… top right, click the three dots, select settings, settings page on the left hand side “about Chrome” it should update to version 101.0.4951.41. I don’t think they’ve release the update for phones yet.3 points

This stuff always makes interesting reading . . . . . . Supermarkets are b*stards, and screw their producers badly at every chance. Costs have gone up a lot, and that needs to be passed down the chain, not just stuck onto the producer. With regard to eggs - the issue is that a lot of people dont know the cost / value because there are lots of folk who basically have a job, and pay to subsidise a hobby of keeping some chickens and producing eggs, with money from their other job. They then give these away or sell them for f**k all, they are losing money on every egg. . . . . and3 points
