Being a sea angler there's a few things I look for - moon state, tides building or dropping, dropping pressure, cloud cover and water temp. Well all these seemed to tie perfectly tonight and we had an insane night catching smalleyes. Me and 1 lad met another mate down what is probably my favourite mark. There was 22 caught; 4 to me, 3 ton one lad and then my other mate had 15! We had 6 over the specimen weight of 9lb with my mate getting a further 2 over 10lb. We also had a small huss, a dog fish and a small eel. Definitely one of those nights we'll never forget.

When we were moved out to the suburbs during the 1950's slum clearances, there were 15 storey flats on the estate, and many people specifically asked to be housed in them. And why not ? They had indoor plumbing and toilets, central heating, electricity, and even lifts ! I lived in the third world, ( oops, not supposed to say that, should be "developing world" ), and when you see the electrical installations, you can guarantee it will be overloaded and will start a fire ! Outlets with multiple appliances plugged in, bare wires pushed into outlets, if a fuse blows, just put a bigger one, or a nail, in, that'll do ! I'm in no doubt that such a scenario will have contributed to the Grenfell disaster. Cheers.

Over the years we have used loads of products that were subsequently found unfit for purpose or dangerous……asbestos probably being the most well known.
