cheers for comments hes from a very long line of collie lurchers worker to worker over many generations. the last few matings have been related matings. I bred him out of my late bitch miley to her nephew a dog called rudd. Miley was out of a bitch called taz from teeside way very good bitch. taz also produced a dog called todd and it was a pup out him i later mated to my bitch miley. Miley was awesome for me and opened my eyes in that clever dogs can be quick dogs too and caught more than her fair share of larger game. Elvis is very much the same hes 26" and 26kg is fazed by nothing yet16 points

Personally, I would sooner gift a rabbiting tyke to a genuine good home than accept vonga for it... Loads of good lads around the UK,...plenty of nice average hunting jukels available...? Obviously, if you desire something special, a coursing /racing champ or a similar paragon,..you will have to pay the seller's price...but, really,...is it THAT fecking serious.. Life is too short Brothers,..I've been there, done that,..why not settle for a good honest worker and leave the super -priced, super dawgs,... to them as craves em..?9 points

The old dog on the right was a great dog to ground he was as old as the hills and still been dug too, he wanted to scrap that much and that old he would try and sneak up to foxes in cover for the fight instead of a hunt wasn't my dog but a good friend of mine. Dog in middle was a line of springer Russel with a touch of bull and bitch on left was mainly Russell with a touch of Patterdale and border, one of the best all rounders I had sadly lost her to ground in a sand earth9 points

I didn't read many of the modern day terrier books.I was more interested in the older terrier books such as Lucas book, diary of an otter hunter,Otters and otter hunting. Several years ago I received a phone call that an elderly British author and terrier man was visiting 4 hour drive from my house. This man was telling glorious tales of the otterchase.Me being the Confederate gentleman I am I jumped in my pickup truck and drove 4 hours to shake this man's hand and invite him on a trip in my boat.Upon meeting this man he informed me that otter was too much for a terrier and basically proceeded t7 points

A friend of mine who regularly rings me to inform me that he has got me a new foxing permission if i want it, contacted me earlier in the week. The gist of the conversation was along the lines of "some of the farmers locally are starting to lamb can you have a look to see if any foxes are about". I said i would go this week weather permitting. This place consists of four farms more or less together and is quite a large area to cover. So large that if it where to be done on "shanks pony" it would take all night to cover just one farm. Fortunately all the ground is accessible by vehicle and can5 points

So I went to the village bakery, got myself a flapjack, came home, made myself a cup of tea and sat down for a read, cracking write up, it was like I was there. Nice way to spend a few minutes on a Saturday afternoon ??5 points

Years ago when i worked for a living myself and a couple of other lads were waiting for an inbound aircraft to land. Amongst other things i used to tow aircraft with a special tractor used for the job. Anyhow i was looking at this tractor one day out of boredom and noticed a shut off valve used for draining water from the fuel. It had stencilled underneath it "DRAIN MONTHLY". I pointed it out to one of the lads i was with and said to him "i'll bet that is a f*****g boring read".?5 points

been thinking on those same lines ever since this crazy price hike began, lurchers been in my life for 65 yrs, born and brought up with them, remember when no money ever changed hands for dogs, just on the barter exchange payment, in the1960sremember blokes paying round the 10 or15 pounds for quality bred lurchers, last lurcher ibought was in2015 paid 300 pounds thought itwas steep at the time, but he was bred for the type of work ineeded him for and suited my life style, never did ithink i would see the day, lurchers and dogs of all types would be reaching telephone numbers, lets hope prices l4 points

Shooting times used to be a really good read, my mate would buy that and I would get rifle shooter or sporting rifle and we would swap when we were done with them, as more things came online like shootinguk less people bought the magazines and they all became really ad heavy, so I stopped buying them, now I take my phone to the bog with me4 points

Private school with eighty across Europe take first batch next week (over 4000 eventually) 400 in school buses in New Jersey off first production run, around 1000 went to States as "paid for tests" looking good on some of them. In construction sites, roll out starting now (meetimg rooms, canteens etc) A national builders merchant have just taken some to view with an idea to roll out. There are a couple of big ones bubbling including a public transport bods.. The testing in January is our launch pad mate, there is no argument as its certified. 11 months from design4 points

Thank you very much mate. We managed to get full testing and certification in January. This is to international standard proving our claims it kills 99.9% of all microorganisms (all viruses, bacteria, mould spores and fungi). That was a big step for us....loads going on now, New member of the team is an ex England and Lions player (not Matt Dawson lol) so he's helping push it out... Its busy!! Lol4 points

Had a day out with Paul who is known as nighthunter whippets on youtube. His new channel is called @moucheroutdoors. We were traveling light. He was using his poaching bag from rabbitfever. Anyway we decided to try a couple spots of hedgerow ferreting bolting to the dogs. We ended up digging 5 rabbits and my Bud caught a runner. Young Roe was working great too.Brilliant day out.3 points

I would say my little bitch averages probably 1 in 4. but daytime bushing, mooching with a single dog is hard on bad ground. but still enjoying it ?3 points

I’ve nothing against puff guns,( I’ve had quite a few, all springers, I’m not made of money) apart from the fact I can buy half a dozen rimfires for the price of one PCP, on the other hand people who wang on about them as if they are amazing do my head in, my .243 will make it deader and in a more spectacular fashion than anything with a bit of wind behind it ?3 points

That's a good question, Tomo. My daughter in law is scrupulously clean with our five year old grandson, washing his hands every five minutes. When he's here, I have him down to the allotments, eating tomatoes straight from the vine, eating blackberries, raspberries, etc. He climbs in the hen and duck houses to collect the eggs, digs in the soil, plays with the dogs I know she's not that pleased when I bring him home scruffy, he's straight in the shower and his clothes straight in the wash, but she accepts that he's getting an education he otherwise wouldn't. I think b3 points

Tough call mate, truth is I don't know..but Hopefully when we go back to normal living we will be exposed to all of the "bugs" required to build a healthy immune system in everyday life. For many there is too much sanitisation already, I think most on here grew up as dirt little urchins and still are too a degree..lol Its all personal choice in your home, if mum and dad are off to work or kids at school and protecting the air from any virus brought into the home is good (my wife is a good example as flu is dangerous for her) this helps to stop spread through the air. But in publ3 points

i would leave it a few more weeks before you breed her.....if you do it now kits will be born first week in april.... for me personally i think the beginning of may is early enough....we could still have a very cold spell or snow in early april ....and just leave her in with the hob for a week3 points

Now there’s an annoying man for you ” welcome to the air gun show” sod off you over excited puff gun plank ?3 points

Shooting times is pathetic, mostly ads and the same old crap rotated. The two mags together in theory have a chance to produce something of interest, but i won't hold my breath.3 points

I'd rather shite in my hands and clap than use them LED lamps? beam are very hard to see anything with them. I have an ordinary lamp with no dimmer but dimmer is the only way to go.3 points

that book kind of sums up the future of the Plummer terrier type. Written to justify the reason for KC recognition for a type that had got along very nicely as a working terrier up until then. A lot longer than the Plummer type. They got them registered, closed the gene pool, made shit loads of money.3 points

Two OAP's were enjoying oral sex. The old man says " i can't stay down here for long, it stinks. " The old lady says " Sorry, that's my arthritis " " In your fanny? " says the old man. The old lady says " no, in my shoulder, i can't wipe my arse "3 points

There's a few break away groups doing there own thing but not heard any of them disputing how the plummer started as such, but that was years ago and iv'e heard of all sorts popping up in DNA tests lately so does it matter any more. Some lads are trying to do some out crosses but what sort of programe they have going i don't know, but good luck to them and if they do it right they should produce something worth taking out..3 points

Seen some good whippets had a 7/8ths whippet 1/8th greyhound out of bigland boy killed fox single handed and wasnt a bad dog around a hole. Most whippets iv seen have been good lamping dogs for rabbits and seen a few whippet dogs hold there own on fox. I think there Well under rated for there size. My son and nephew have a dog and bitch now dogs first season and bitch still only learning but the kids love them and love watching them catch rabbits. Next season will do plenty bunny bashing with them3 points
