It was a cold, wet December night in 2008 when the phone rang. It was next door, “Have you got a Dog?” Sue asked. “Don’t be silly” Mrs A said. “You know I don’t like Dogs” “Well there’s one at the bottom of your garden, I’ve heard it barking” “I’ll go and have a look” Mrs A said. Moments later I heard a scream, “It’s a great big effing dog” she cried. I went out to look, sure enough, a big black dog stood there in our garden and barked at us. He was wet through and ran back up to the end of the garden to get under the only slight shelter there was, a Weeping Willow tree. “He’ll be31 points

If the mother had an ounce of decency she would say" course you can lay flowers at his grave" these people like to have wakes mourn his passing in the traditional way they always do. Let's not f**k about here and dress it up.the only reason they flowers are put in that street is pure intimidation and a big f**k you. Any other family I know would be f***ing embarrassed and not even consider placing flowers next to a house their kinnhad tried to rob. Many old pensioners in the past have been robbed And you all called for the perpetrators to be strung up. f**k some even called for it f13 points

Go on then, I’ll bite..... Bore off big lad, the Irish airforce consists of about 4 Cessna training aircraft and a helicopter (true!) and everyone in the “army” are about 65......f***ing Captain Mainwaring would be too young to join. ! Nah, stick to bullying shopkeepers and late night drinkers and breaking the knee caps of 20 year old scroats and we will stick to protecting you from hostile military powers getting near the British isles6 points

Let’s be honest, a nuclear strike on some parts of London or Glasgow could only be an improvement !6 points

IMO there is a very big and not often spoken of aspect of power projection going on here. The Obama years was a period of the US backing down on the world stage, engaging more in diplomacy and less in hard power. The UK did the same. France on the other hand surprisingly waded right into Mali! France aside, after drawn out conflicts from the Bush/Blair years the West has stepped down a bit and at the same time the Eastern powers have stepped up, showing a desire to operate out of their back yards and challenge the balance of power globally. This has happened again and again through history, em5 points

Sadly had the old fella pts this afternoon not 2 months since I lost my old bouvier molly, they grew up together so in a way it was fitting but had expected George being a bit younger to stick around on our wanders for good while yet, alas the dreaded c got a good on him and the sight off him not wanting his food or a walk signalled the worst. Vets confirmed my fears this morning and at 11 yo rather than major surgery thought best to pts and end his obvious discomfort asap. George was by no means working dog but he enjoyed his walks and has tagged along all over the country. he came to w4 points

Recently I was contacted on one of my social media pages, by a younger guy now known as Jonesy, who asked if he could tag along and pick up a few tips about ferreting so he could start to take his kids out to enjoy the sport. He explained he knew very little about ferreting and had recently bought a few young ferrets, amongst them was a very nice silver Buck, he said was very aggressive I said no problem, bring the buck over and I will work with it for awhile and see if I can tame him down a bit. Well he wasn’t wrong he was as savage as I have seen, bit right through my leather glove3 points

Just chatting to my next door neighbours, their little girl been critically ill with scepcis, so they have been almost living at great Ormond St hospital, they were telling me of the traveller families up there nicking toys and food out of fridge in the family unit, 99% of them are lowest of the low, medical staff no doubt saving the life of their inbred offspring, that they have contributed zilch to!3 points

I don't care if they poisoned a traitor, but I care that it will be my kids being called up to fight another war caused by politicians and giving there lives, did,nt they call the Great War the war to end all wars, well it failed and when the next government decide to coheres there populations to take up arms and fight a false war, it will be the same people hiding in an air conditioned bunker while the sheeple load there kids up to send them off to die, so I don't care which government it is I just think that after all the f**k ups we have made in the name of war we should have learnt by now3 points

Sorry to hear about your loss, i know exactly what you are going through having experienced the same thing two days ago. You keep expecting them to be there but then you remember they are not and it pulls a bit. It will get better and when it does you can fondly remember the good ( and not so good ) times you had and know that both of your lives were enriched by your partnering up. R.I.P Ossie.3 points

British nuclear submarine reportedly moved into Tomahawk missile range for Syria strike also French warship buzzed by Russian combat aircraft in warning against missile attack The comments on that site are always worth reading, some genuine industry subject matter experts. Thought this one was worth consideration; Evening What is likely is that a chemical attack was launched against a suburb of Damascus. What is also likely is that this attack was launched from the air utilising a crude deployment method, more than likely by helicopter. Only two nations currently depl3 points

So why is it that plod is protecting the scum. All of the residents should complain to the chief officer and their MP and demand that all of this is an offence to the residents. The officer who proposed this should be put on the spot and do the job that we the ratepayers pay them to do. These scum, came armed, broke into this blokes house to intimidate him and his wife and steal from them. The whole family are scrum and have a long history of thieving from the elderly and some of them have spent time inside for it. No sympathy for any of them. And the fact that the women have come down is just3 points

If I'm being honest mate i feel for his kids, regardless of how much of a c**t their old man was he was still their dad so I do get what you're saying....but as Scot pointed out, there's a time and a place for stuff like that and laying them where they have is just plain wrong... If they wanna mourn him then fine but do it elsewhere...not under the noses of the lives he ruined before he died3 points

I dont think there has ever been a thread on here thats been so testosterone driven before. I am a little reluctant to post anything tbh other than there is a need to enable women to have terminations safely & within the law, the days of downing a bottle of gin because of fear of some backlash from anti abortion opinions & views are hopefully long gone . I am an evil selfish baby killer I murdered a fetus that wasnt a viable pregnancy & I had 2 injections in the backside & regular blood tests to check the hormone levels to ensure it had worked , that was donkeys yrs ago &a3 points

I don't know what you want me to say. You obviously believed every word he said. I thought it was obvious by my previous posts. But seeing as you directed the post @me directly i will give you my opinion I think he's a cunning conieving liar. I think he did have a hand in the elections in USA and other nation's as well. The man is one of the richest on the planet who in the 90s didn't have money as the old cliche behind every great wealth there is a great crime. He didn't become a billionaire from a politicians salary. No I don't like him I don't trust him and the people in2 points

And as utterly f***ing bonkers as it seems there is a tiny glimpse of potential success in that strategy. His twitter war with the DPRK is well known and well criticised and yet for the first time in history we may see the 'de-nuclearisation' of the Korean peninsular! Of course it may all collapse, be part of Kim's tactics or even just be coincidental but nonetheless twitter and his VERY layman type language is what this POTUS has defined himself with. I just like it because for some reason it is still shocking to me. We're so used to every past president behaving, well, presidential and2 points
