  1. I've just buried the old girl, 15 and a half, she's had cancer for about 3 years but the other day she ran a deer for a few hundred yards (!) and gave herself a hernia so it was time. Had her from a pup off MB and she's been a brilliant dog. Good manners, obedient, clean in herself, clean in the house, never any hassle, didn't like teeth but great at everything else. Shame they get old. She's now in the garden with her 3 mates. D.

  3. As age creeps up on me at an alarming rate I keep meaning to do the same. Just recently gave a load of my pike fishing gear to my grandson and I was joking to his dad when he came to pick it up it will be less stuff of mine to go through when I croak. It's the fairly large book collection on hunting related and nature i need to get my head around sorting out. The same day his dad took him pike fishing and he caught one on the tackle I gave him that was great to see the pic's he sent me.

  6. A week before I lost my Dad,I was fishing a mark and caught a decent conger,I was on my own at the time,as I was unhooking it,the top circle hook caught one of my fingers, the eel decided to do a death roll ended up wrapping and pinning my hand to its head anyway I got it unhooked and my hand was sore as f**k.. got back to the car and I ended up leaving a rod and rocket multiplier on the side, realised next morning when getting my stuff out the carwent back and it was gone,I've joined various local groups, offered a reward as they were given to me by my Oldman ,and from a matching pair...cho

  25. Not good she's come to terms she's not getting one. We've got a caravan over at flambrough. So we don't need a f***ing camper van. Plus I've just paid over 400 quid for some Canaries. 28 in total. Some lovely diamophics , some mixed breeders for feeders. So we won't be going nowhere when the breeding seasons starts.

  31. I've been given three lots of fishing gear some of which was destined for the skip, I've thankfully been able to give a pile of it away to youngsters in our angling club. Would a local club be able to use it? Cheers. Aled

  32. Same here. My grandkids have zero interest so I can either sell or give my stuff away if I'm not using it. Probable case when I go is Kev getting dropped a van load of hunting paraphernalia for the fishing comp auction Cheers, D.

  34. Fcuking state of the English girl BBC pundit after it happened…, sobbing her wee heart out. Btw, the drone footage gives a fantastic view point of the downhill event and gives a much better impression of the steepness of the course and speeds they’re travelling at. To be in with a shout of a medal you’ve got to be skiing right on the very edge, and that means close to wiping out the whole way down. Takes real guts and I take my hat off to them.
