I had a really interesting evening caught all these birds in the app also a common nighthawk never had one of them before and a rare according to the app common firecrest, also see a green woodpecker the place was also heaving with pheasant. I also got a video of a cub pouncing on a rabbit I had just shot and giving it a ragging, it was a nice little situation I was watching the cub through my scope with no intention of shooting it and then all of a sudden a rabbit filled the lens so I shot the rabbit and amazingly the cub just pounced on it, shame I can’t put the video up as5 points

Looking forward to Taylor v Catterall rematch on Saturday. Pity it took so long to make, but both good boxers and plenty needle might make for a decent fight. Bookies have Catterall favourite, but I think if Taylor can tweak a few things from the first fight he can win without controversy this time.4 points

Here's a question for you all... There's talk or maybe it's true that legislation is coming in to ban smoking completely if your under the age of 14...or 15. ...basically means if your that age now you will never be able to buy cigs legally.. It's a funny one for me....as much as I hate smoking part of me thinks its an attack on your civil liberty...I don't want my kids to smoke...but I think they have to make there own minds up...also wouldn't it just make another black market....Thoughts chaps??4 points

Both of them have done feckall to make any of our lives better imo mate. Being reading online how Labour are going to address the injustice of the mine worker's pension scheme that I am a member of and have said they will give us a bigger share of the profits it's making another ploy by them to overturn the red wall seats that the tories gained in the last GE. I will only believe this when a bit more money lands on my pension I get every month then again I will end up paying more tax on my PAYE Job I do now .4 points

Thanks pal, it's constant but will be worth it long term. I really fancied the bee keeping but having done the course I think I have too much going on at the minute to start that aswell. I will maybe do it in a few years time once I hopefully get the rest of this lot consistenly producing.3 points

when i clean the tube out with the spoon i wiggle the spoon side to side, that tells me how big the tube is, i then use the trap fitted with the appropriate trigger that is the best fit for the tube. A putange with a standard trigger set in a big tube is like a trap in no mans land, the mole could go up the side of the trap, hit the post etc, therefore missing the trigger so no catch. If the trap is filling the tube it has more chance of catching. I now use Putanges almost all the time, with standard triggers i would not use them in big tubes for the reasons i pointed out. These triggers make3 points

I have to respectfully disagree. Taylor hit two nine darters in the Premier League and I’m sure his averages and number of 180’s are still the best. He was exceptional and a long way better than his contemporaries. Yes, there are more players playing to a very high standard now, but I think he would, in his prime, be the one to beat now. Littler, in my opinion is the only one who could match or better Taylor’s record , because he’s young enough and good enough, as long as he keeps his head. I notice once or twice he showboats a bit, nothing wrong with that unless it’s seen as trying to3 points

A good case in point being otters. Any TV programme on otters will tell us that they were almost hunted to extinction in UK before a ban came in. Truth was that the only people who noticed a decline in numbers were otter hunters. The MOHA put a self imposed stop to hunting and brought the otter's predicament to the attention of others. Of course the real reason for the decline was partly due to "liberated" North American mink but mostly to unregulated dumping of crap into our waterway systems.3 points

Even better if you could entice the bitch in heat into your school. Nothing more entertaining than a pack of slavering street dogs running around the corridors and classroom. Panicking, hysterical teachers and the girls screaming on top of their desks. Excellent entertainment. We did it more than once. I'll er, get my coat.3 points

To me this up coming election seems like groundhog day all over again when last time labour gained power under Blair and despite most folk having had a belly full of years of a tory government put labour in power and we all know how well that turned out especially for those of us who hunted with dogs . Its obvious to me we are heading for Blair years MK2 and theirs feck all the ordinary joe bloggs like me can do about it.3 points

A lad rang me a few weeks back...had a dog I bred off me 10 yrs ago...dog entered a drain on his daily walk(been through it hundreds of times in its lifetime, engaging and bolting foxes) this particular day it was holding something else...dog wouldnt give an inch...the rest is history....I was gutted, and it wasnt my dog...every single male dog from that line was too hard for its own good, thats one of the reasons I would ship the dogs out to good lads and predominantly work and keep the bitches...some of them never learnt any manners and would spend most of the season in sick bay and cost a sm3 points

All creatures tend to use the same paths the path of least resistance try to find a pinch point like a log over a stream or a gap in a fence or hedge with multiple runs leading to it and something else I like to do if I can is to place a big rock in front of the camera have shown these many times but everything marks a rock and the more things that mark it the more things will come it also slows them down as despite what people think the trigger speed on a lot of cams is not that great hence my collection of tails and rear ends2 points

@lurchers @Aussie Whip @Daniel cain There have been some very honest and lovely points made. Having a kennel full of working dogs requires great sacrifice, no holidays, not trusting anyone to safely look after them and keep the kennels how you like it whilst you’re away with the wife. But for the short twenty years I’ve been messing around with them I wouldn’t change it for the world (my wife and kids would probably say different). thanks to those who shared they’re similar experiences when it came to saying goodbye to a terrier. It’s reassuring to see it’s a struggle shared by so m2 points
